Another great provincial park campground. We came through mid September and had no trouble getting a site for 2 nights. If you’re more towards the back of the campground away from the road it’s quieter, some sites are right on the highway. A nice trail out the back of camp is about a 20 min walk that the dog had a nice time on. There is a tunnel to walk under the highway to the lake where the dog got in a nice swim. Not a whole lot to do here but it was a nice spot for 2 nights. Had no trouble finding a good site for our 32’ fifth wheel. Dump site available for a fee (if you’re headed south there is a free dump and fill at 100 mile).

Easy access, no fill water. Fill available at car wash across the highway: enter bay closest to the right side of building, pull through and hose is right as you come out.

This is a very nice RV park! Sites are level, easy to back into if you don’t have a pull through, you park on grass, and there felt like a teensy bit more room between sites than normal. The only downside is the road noise during the day, but it dies down at night. Laundromat was incredibly clean, reasonably priced. Easy walking distance into town, nice trail across the road that leads into town.

We stayed here on our way up the Alaska Highway. Opted for this since it was a little further from the highway than the other option. Spots were fairly well spaced, especially towards the beginning- the ones right on the lake were fairly close to neighbors. There are two spots down at the boat launch too, would be good for big rigs.

We had no trouble navigating the loop with our 32’ fifth wheel, however the loop is only a one lane wide road and we weren’t able to back into the spot we picked out successfully between the angle of the spot, only one lane of road, and drainage ditches on both sides of the road. However we were easily able to pick a different spot where the road is 1.5 lanes wide and we could pull into another spot on the other side of the road and then back into our spot. So a little caution if you’re too much larger than 32’.

No nighttime noise other than ppl coming in late. A good amount of FCFS spots. Most spots are fairly level side to side but some have considerable downward slope. A few water spigots throughout and pit toilets. Nice playground for littles. Blue green algae in the lake, so no swimming for the dog. Nice trail system at the entrance, hiking and mountain biking in the summer. $20 CAD/night

We stayed here for two nights in late august. Both nights we were one of maybe 4 other campers. Well off the road, no traffic noise. Colors are just starting to change, it is very beautiful. Many sites that could accommodate large rigs, we had no trouble with our 32 ft fifth wheel. Would definitely stay again. No cell service and no water.

Easy access off of highway with many sites to choose from early in the week. Only a handful of campers here while we were here 7/9-7/11. It seems like they have done recent work on the CG, many large mostly level sites. The only thing is whatever dirt they are using to level sites seems like it would be pretty slimy in the rain, but it didn’t rain while we were here so can’t say for sure. A few could accommodate any size rig. Mosquitoes were quite bad- we didn’t spend any time outside, and when we tried to go for the little hike to the river one morning it was so bad we just walked the loop and went back to the trailer… about 10-15 min to information center in Dawson.

We dumped at one of the RV parks for $5 and water fill for approx $1/25 gal.

This was a nice spot to stay the night on our way north to Alaska, however it’s probably worth about $10, not the $25 they’re asking… we had the place to ourselves, was easy to park our 32’ fifth wheel. Some road noise, we didn’t explore the area. Glad we stopped here, there wasn’t much after on our way to Grand Prairie- lots of truck traffic in the morning on our way out.

We stayed here one night on our way down to the lower 48. It was convenient, large sites, and not many people in late September. The only negative was the train traffic which was quite frequent. There were plenty of spots we could have fit in with our 32 ft fifth wheel.

We stayed here one night to charge our batteries, fill and dump, and do laundry. For that purpose it was okay, we had full hookups. After seeing the other two RV parks on the way in, I think this is the nicer of the 3- at least there are trees and you’re a street away from the hwy as opposed to right on it. The other road is very noisy though, but maybe if you were further into the park it would be quieter (our site was right next to it).

Laundry facility is small but doable, 7 washers 6 dryers. A little expensive- $5 for a wash and .25/4min on the dryers. No change machine in the laundromat so if you’re planning to do it after office hours make sure you have your own change.

Couldn’t get the Wi-Fi to work, but cell service is ok enough to work for us.

Wow this is a nice campground! We stayed in mid September, no bugs, beautiful color in the trees, road in excellent shape, huge sites. Any size rig could fit, most sites are gravel back in but there are a few pull throughs. 30 amp electric for us, non electric available too.

Good privacy between sites. Free showers (we didn’t use) and vault toilets. Everything very well maintained and clean. Dump station for a fee I believe- didn’t investigate as we dumped for free up the road in New Hazelton visitor center. Threaded water faucets throughout camp, no signs that say you couldn’t fill RV. Absolutely beautiful area- stay here, you won’t be disappointed. Host was very nice, said they were planning to stay open past published closing date (9/15/23) because there was no reason to close.
