We stayed here one night on our way down to the lower 48. It was convenient, large sites, and not many people in late September. The only negative was the train traffic which was quite frequent. There were plenty of spots we could have fit in with our 32 ft fifth wheel.

Another great provincial park campground. We came through mid September and had no trouble getting a site for 2 nights. If you’re more towards the back of the campground away from the road it’s quieter, some sites are right on the highway. A nice trail out the back of camp is about a 20 min walk that the dog had a nice time on. There is a tunnel to walk under the highway to the lake where the dog got in a nice swim. Not a whole lot to do here but it was a nice spot for 2 nights. Had no trouble finding a good site for our 32’ fifth wheel. Dump site available for a fee (if you’re headed south there is a free dump and fill at 100 mile).

This was a nice spot to stay the night on our way north to Alaska, however it’s probably worth about $10, not the $25 they’re asking… we had the place to ourselves, was easy to park our 32’ fifth wheel. Some road noise, we didn’t explore the area. Glad we stopped here, there wasn’t much after on our way to Grand Prairie- lots of truck traffic in the morning on our way out.

We stayed here 3 nights in early July. One of the busier government campgrounds on our way to Alaska, but proximity to Whitehorse makes it so. Seems like turnover of campsites is much lower in general, only a handful open up each day. We arrived around 1130/12 and there were still a few to choose from, but earlier in the day is better as it seems to be full most afternoons.

The outer loop is better for bigger rigs, a little tight to navigate the inner loops (we’re in 32’ fifth wheel). We found a pull through that worked, parked, and then walked the rest of the way to see if there was anything better. Site 43 is hands down the best of the place and can accommodate any size rig.

Pros- about 15 min to downtown Whitehorse, good hiking right from CG, sites aren’t right on top of each other, creek and playground for kids

Cons- people drive fast (we weren’t next to a speed bump and ppl were speeding by us making dust and noise), traffic in the afternoons as ppl drive around for a spot, noise from the road and also airport (not too bad but it’s there)

Overall a good spot as a base camp.

We stayed here for two nights in late august. Both nights we were one of maybe 4 other campers. Well off the road, no traffic noise. Colors are just starting to change, it is very beautiful. Many sites that could accommodate large rigs, we had no trouble with our 32 ft fifth wheel. Would definitely stay again. No cell service and no water.

We drove up here with our 32 ft fifth wheel, wouldn’t recommend. Road was mostly nicely graded when it was dirt, but it was moon dust. Minimal washboard but I’m sure with more use it gets worse. At end of first paved section there were quite a few potholes, then it turned to dirt, back to paved and ended in dirt. We came on a Tuesday and there was only one spot left- we parked and walked the loop, good thing cause it would have been a little rough. Some spots right along the (small) lake and the rest were more on the hillside. Turning around was luckily fairly easy, I would not recommend this unless you’re <25’.

Wow this is a nice campground! We stayed in mid September, no bugs, beautiful color in the trees, road in excellent shape, huge sites. Any size rig could fit, most sites are gravel back in but there are a few pull throughs. 30 amp electric for us, non electric available too.

Good privacy between sites. Free showers (we didn’t use) and vault toilets. Everything very well maintained and clean. Dump station for a fee I believe- didn’t investigate as we dumped for free up the road in New Hazelton visitor center. Threaded water faucets throughout camp, no signs that say you couldn’t fill RV. Absolutely beautiful area- stay here, you won’t be disappointed. Host was very nice, said they were planning to stay open past published closing date (9/15/23) because there was no reason to close.

If you want to stay in town you have two options, and this is the cheaper one… dump station was in working order, laundry was sufficient (pretty cheap too), and location was walkable or a short drive towards the other end of town. Electric only at site for $50/night seems pretty expensive, but we wanted to stay in town. Spot was level and easy to park in. The dump station can get busy as there is only one hole if you’re leaving in the same day as a RV tour. Looks like it used to be full hookups, but spigots at site are off and the sewer holes are covered. This could be a lot nicer, but it met our needs…

Really lovely campground, we were here 9 days 3/20-3/29. Our site was easy to level up in with our 32ft fifth wheel, and on one side we had a great view, couldn’t even see our closest neighbor. The only bummer was the rodeo that went on for 4 days and felt like it was a stones throw away- loud music/announcers and lights till 10pm. But other than that it was exceptionally quiet at night. Nice hiking right from the campground, we hit the wildflowers almost perfectly. Showers were fairly hot for no temperature control, although one had a firehose of a shower head. Would definitely come here again

We stayed here in late September, one weeks before the closure date. Loops A and B open FCFS, loop C closed. Bathrooms open, dump station open with water for fill. There were only about 4 other campers in loop B with us- plenty of sites to choose from. Surprising number of pull throughs, some too tight for our 32’ fifth wheel. We ended up driving the loop backwards to orient the trailer the correct direction for our stairs to open away from the road since there was no one around. Many of the pull throughs are on the inside of the loop which orients them incorrectly for most trailers.

Lots of trees and trails right from the campground, all dog friendly. We enjoyed our stay and would consider coming back if ever in the area. Some trails further down hwy 20 are closed due to fires, but there are plenty of others to choose from.

Dump station very nice with black water flush and potable fill water available.
