{Date Stayed: April 13-14, 2023} Pushing through on a time-line again. Finding cheap & quick-easy one nighters, not sightseeing this time around. This, like so many other parks, has potential. Again, cash only and this time in a drop box, no owners/managers around, office locked up. Pick any empty site. Didn't use shower/restrooms. Right on the edge of town, restaurant/bar in walking distance (not visited). Dirt sites, might be a problem if heavy rains. At least we got a Pull-Through with 50amp.

Part of driveways have (apparently) new gravel as do a couple sites. At least we got a Pull-Through with 50amp.

{Date Stayed: April 4-5, 2023}. Not the best CG but doable for an overnight. When we stayed it was cash only, may have changed since. Was able to make a reservation over the phone on the 3rd and got a pull-through with 50amp. Didn't have a chance to take photos.

Military (Navy) campground & Recreation Center. Facility is great, wonderful staff; motor & row boat, kayak, canoe, paddle rentals, boat ramp, nice dock facility. Swimming area, fairly decent sandy beach. Place has everything, RV, Yurt, Cabins, Tent sites. RV sites were gravel and fairly level. Bathhouse/restroom facility was very nice & up to date. No sewer hookups, just dump station. Didn't see any moose but they are around. Cell service was pretty much non-existent, perfect place to relax and be away from technology for a while. Hiking trail along brook. Road into CG is up/down hill and rough in places, gravel drives around camp.

{Dates Stayed: April 23-24, 2023} Very small RV park, 22 spaces, but typical for a small AFB. Ok for passing through, however a bit of a trek from I-84 but worth it. Nice paved streets & concrete sites. Laundry & restroom/showers all ok. Very clean, good place for BBQ.

Military RV Park on the Fort Dix side, only 8 spaces. Again, the weather was not the best with rain and winds when we stayed in early May. Commissary & BX were nice & close by, but we didn't venture out much after that due to weather. Ok place for a 1-nighter. Back-in sites only, no sewer, 30amp electric, water. Dump station. Rest Rooms (no showers) were locked and not opening until after Memorial Day. No laundry facility at campsite.

Of course you need to be Active, Retired, Reserve Military in order to stay here. So, if you're used to helicopters flying over without any PTSD, then you'll feel at home. Gravel road entrance to the actual camp, fair down-grade & then up, watch the one-ways. We stayed down by the lake which has no sewer only water & electric. There is a dump station, however it is back up the hill where the cabins, bathhouses & full hookup sites are located. It is also a challenging location at the top right next to one of the bathhouses and you will block either the road or parking for the bathhouse. If there are any vehicles in parking then you'll either block them or the road. In any case a bad location for a dump station - they should have it all the way back to the entrance where Bldg Q-2922 is. We were there off-season, the lake is not opened until Memorial Day. Lots of wildlife, Ft Bragg has good Commissary & PX and Fayetteville has plenty of shopping/re-provisioning such as Walmart, Tractor Supply, etc. Of course the 82nd Airborne & JFK Spec Warfare Museum's are not to be missed on base. If you're into Botanical Gardens, Fayetteville has the Cape Fear Botanical Garden.

Good location for the middle of farm land in central Michigan. Built on old gravel pit property this place is still a work in progress with a lot more to offer. Lots of work has gone into creating a decent man-made lake with excellent sandy beach and safe swimming area. Great summer party location with shelter & open tables. Many seasonal camp spaces occupied by the locals for good reason....not very far from home yet far enough! Good Cell, TV connections to keep in touch if need be. The driveway to the office is a bit tight with sites on both sides. The main center section has 'pea' gravel which is very loose and needs to be packed down on the site. Unfortunately no grass is in the center as with the outside sites. Drainage is a big problem in the center so the sod had to be removed to accommodate. It would be very expensive to put a drain system in the center or build up the sites but it is doable. More sites along the lake are planned. There are a couple of hiking trails into the nearby wooded area and along the Little Maple River. Owasso is not very far for provisions or use the Camp Store for staples. NO Showers are available. Restrooms are limited. Most sites are spacious enough for Class A with slide-outs and still have room.

{Date of Stay: 03/27-29/2023} Would have stayed longer but watching the weather; having to get to Washington State by end of April. This is a nice military RV Park that is not on the main base, so it is relatively quiet. The park sits on an old Seaplane base but the sites are not on the old concrete tarmac & launch ramp. Good fishing area but not the best beach to swimming - waterway is Pedido Bay not the Gulf. Best to go to P-Beach (public) or the ones on-base.

Typical Military RV Park, only 10 spaces; large aircraft but not too noisy. When we stayed the weather was the pits with rain and high winds (gusts to 50mph). Commissary & BX were nice but we didn't venture out much after that due to weather. Great place to stop enroute to other destinations. Full hookup with sewer 30amp electric. Bathhouse was small but modern, 1 shower 2 toilets each, laundry was not used but features two Maytag commercial washer/dryers. Saw a resident fox running around the field. Didn't visit the museum but looks like a good place to visit if you've never been to one.
