Alot of work has gone into improvements in this established park. Concrete pads on some of the sites, good electric, water & sewer hookups. Yes, it is close to freeway, railroad & highway noise, but not that noticeable or annoying (to us anyway). Full time on-site maintenance staff is consistently working on improvements & keeping things up to par. If anything needs updating it would be the laundry, showers & restrooms which also share with the game room. They are located in the quaint old farm house. Keep the game room there but build a new 21st Century laundry/showers/restrooms facility.

First off, the spread-out campground is separated by the county road. The winding paved county road has a lot of curves and hairpin turns. Although beautiful and peaceful the CG is 20mi from Charleston where most of provisioning can be accomplished - it just seems like forever to get to Interstate 77 via Middle Fork Road. Despite access, the CG has sites that are spaced apart mostly. Some seasonal sites. Driveways are okay, some paved, but you have to drive to the pool which is across the road and down the meadow. Nice pond with ducks & one swan (Lucy). Beautiful chapel, great staff. Restrooms & showers were clean but could use an upgrade. Laundry is small.

(Dates Stayed: 04/06-04/10/2023) (Used PPA $ - Regular $25 Daily) you want an inexpensive quiet private park this might be the ticket. It's out in the country North of Alamogordo but not too far. A good alternative if everything else is booked, such as the AFB at White Sands. Pay attention to directions, DO NOT USE your GPS.

This campground, like many in Florida, are a mix of Park Models, Seasonal's, Contractors, Long Term & Temps. We chose this park due to its location for theme parks, centrally located between East & West Coasts of Florida and monthly rates. But beware of the rates as they seem to change at the whim of the owner with not much site improvements. Summer rates seem to be based upon 'resort' prices which this is not even close to. The Park Models are mostly in one section, a few mixed. There are Long Term campers that may have been here since the park was established. The streets are asphalt, sites are grass. There are 3 concrete block bath houses, two need upgrades, the third was newer. Showers were individual stalls. Lots of space available for picnic tables & shelters. The Clubhouse needs upgrade, no restrooms (only at the office), is locked & closed all the time - you have to get the key at the office - office closes at 8pm. The 2 shuffleboard courts are uncovered, all other games are checked out at the office & have to be set up. They try to have scheduled activities but is at the whim of regulars. Campground polices seem to not be enforced. Both paid & work-camp staff were very nice, friendly & attentive. Access is easy, pay attention to exit & entrance driveways off of SR-50. Florida Turnpike is easier on/off to the West. You can hear traffic & residential noise, but not too bothersome. The City of Winter Garden is just a delight, every Saturday is a Farmer's Market, the downtown is very bicycle & pedestrian friendly. Cell service on AT&T was good but the down-stream from the cell site to Internet was very temperamental. Verizon cell signal was worse.

Wonderful location. Good utilities, great facilities. Abundant wildlife, the grass volleyball court seems attractive to the deer. For fishing & boating they offer rentals, nice tiny marina, gas for sale if you have your own boat and a boat launch and docks to tie up at. You can rent kayak's, canoes & pedal bikes. Tiny beach & good swimming area. St Germain is not very far for essentials such as groceries and hardware - anything more you'll need to go to Minocqua for Walmart or Tractor Supply. The only negatives are too much sand on the sites - a bit of gravel would be better and of course more grass. The laundry, restrooms & showers could use a make-over, but were clean. Unfortunately we were there when they were invaded by Midges (flying bug - like mosquitos) which made night time camp fires a bit unbearable - nothing the Camp could do.

{Before I begin, I do not know what camp the previous reviewer (Janis) stayed at but it was in no way this campground}. What a beautiful and pleasant campground. We only stayed a very short time on our way to our final destination of Virginia Beach. Wish we could have booked this place for a longer stay. Many well kept hiking/walking trails in the woods. We were there off-season so during summer it will most likely be very full of church campers/vacation bible school and the like. The pool was not open but was being prepped for the warmer weeks ahead. Lots of outdoor activities such as soccer, softball, frisbee golf, volleyball, zip lines & rope courses and much more. Of course, several chapels, group fire rings etc. Camp also has group housing for non-RV'ers. This is a nondenominational Christian Camp that welcomes everyone. Easy back-in sites, bathhouse was fine, full hookups worked well. No noise other than nature!

Nice black-top entrance drive to office, gravel drives between sites. Far enough away from I-81 so no noise. Nice pool, nice shade over some sites, no trees on others. Fair drainage on most tree sites after rain. Site power was good. Restroom/showers could use some upgrade. Stuff to do & see all around, but have to drive there.

As with many parks built in the 60's & 70's, they were designed for rigs that at the most may have been 25' long. Our rig fit fine, but then you add the tow vehicle and you have to park across the front and sometimes stick out into the driveway. The park has two restroom & shower facilities, one with laundry. The laundry has been redone and has digital machines. The other facility needs a good overhaul to bring it into the 21st Century. In spite of all that, this park was fine for us. Some road noise with US16 4-lane highway, but we were far enough away that it didn't bother us. The park store has a lot of staple items, well stocked, some clothing (tourist), very helpful staff & camp hosts. Power, sewer & water were all good. Their WiFi was fine, cell service ok. We didn't spend too much time in camp as we played tourist all over the place (i.e. Rushmore etc). Easy getting around Rapid City with many 4-lane streets & highways - good for provisioning supplies.

Good location for exploring the areas. The pull-through sites are a bit close together, except C6. Really sandy foundation, driveways are asphalt and a bit narrow. Bathhouse/restrooms were ok, but a bit old. No propane on site anymore. A few seasonal campers & park models, but fairly clean. The street into the park is through residential neighborhood so drive real carefully. The driveway from the office to the camp is basically one-way between ponds and has two concrete sluices cut into the asphalt that create a nuisance bump so watch your speed. The nature trail could use some TLC. Lots of pine tree shade.

Our site was really nice, the weather wasn't (hail). Nice & quiet area. Owners were very nice & helpful. Good walking around the camp & down to the river. Lots of open space for games & playground equipment. On-site kayak/canoe rentals, beautiful Saco River front & walking trails. The only real issue was the dated restroom & shower facility. Don't like to use coin operated showers if we're paying for the campsite. Perhaps if the facility was SOTA! Cell service was not the greatest.
