Actual date of stay 03.2019. Great stop for overnight or longer. There are a few lots to choose from, so we chose the empty one in the back. The lot was mostly level and completely empty! There was a bar across the street that seemed to be open late, but the loud music was off at a reasonable time.

We were just staying here on our way from TX to FL, so we didn’t do any gambling or see any sights. This was just a comfortable, safe and quiet overnight. We had 4 bars Verizon LTE.

When you get to Divide, turn north on County Road 5 for a little while and you’ll end up in Pike NF at 9,100+ feet elevation. Drive past the OHV trailhead and sites will start to appear on the left and right.

The NF dirt road is groomed and in better shape than the pavement of the county road on the way in. We had no problems with our 35’ fifth wheel.

We stayed June 2018 and it was busy. I scouted spots on Sunday and it was full, but we had plenty of options when we showed up on Monday. This is OHV territory, so if you’re into that, go nuts. If you don’t mind them, you’ll be fine. If you don’t like them, don’t come here.

We had 2 bars Verizon LTE, but as you go further away from the trailhead, the signal disappears quickly. There are lots of trees, but we were able to find a site that allowed us to get plenty of solar. (see pics)

The elevation did cause some health and propane appliance issues, but we managed. Our refrigerator and water heater had trouble a few times running on propane, but they fought through it. We had some shortness of breath and some restless sleep, and our dog had…stomach issues, but none of this was too serious, and we otherwise had a good stay.

Stayed here for an overnight between Pahrump and Moab, and would definitely come back for a longer stay.

The 360° mountain views are incredible, the sites are large and well spaced, there’s open area to walk pets, they have popcorn and ice cream (like hand dipped with several types of cones) in the office, and the people running the place are so incredibly nice.

Highly recommend a stay here if you have any reason to come through the area.

Two spots have 50amp and four have working 20/30amp (the other two posts are out of order). Casino has a small, overpriced bar/restaurant, but definitely go to Foggy’s Steakhouse ¼ mile west.

Dump/Fill station across the street at Bay Furnace ($5).

Did not stay here, only dumped, but it is a campground with electric hookups, a few water spigots around the grounds, and a dump station. Convenient and easy for our 33 ft fifth wheel and would be fine for any size rig. The only issue is that the dump hole is just a hole with a metal piece about 5” down the hole, so we could use our normal L-shaped end piece. We just shoved the other end of our sewer hose down there and some black water wound up coming back up and splashing out of the hole- not great. We used a nearby water spigot to rinse the area, and to flush our tank- about 50 ft of hose. $5 honor box.

Expensive, gravel lot with hookups that may require 30+ feet of sewer line and 50+ feet of water hose. No bathrooms or other amenities other than being in Bozeman. Easy to get to and navigate around. Never did see anyone in charge. Made reservations online, received an email stating site number, showed up and parked in site number and left after reservation. Never ‘checked in’ or was checked on during our stay in July 2018. Fireworks were nice on the 4th.

The sites all back up to a small grass area where the hookups are located. We needed 50ft of water hose and 30ft of sewer which barely made it. The sewer connections were easily 12” off the ground, which is about the same height as our rig connection, so no help from gravity when dumping. In a year of full-time travel this was the worst dumping experience we’ve had so far. It took forever to dump because we could only let a little out at a time and then had to walk it down the hose. This made an already crappy job, way more crappy (pun intended)

The only reason we stayed here was because we had some friends flying in, so we wanted hookups to be able to entertain, but I would not recommend staying here, unless you just want to be in town.

We had 4 bars Verizon LTE and 50 amp (only) FHUs.

If you stay here, bring all of your hoses, and you still might need more.

Here’s the quick version: Half of the sites have sewer located up hill. Very tight spacing and no parking. The Wifi is unusable. There is a fenced in dog area and it's located in town. 3 bars Verizon LTE. We paid a weekly rate of $180, plus an extra day with Good Sam at $27 when we stayed in August 2018.

I’ll start with our horrible sewer situation: we came from boondocking, but didn’t need to dump right away, so we waited a couple days to hook up the sewer and dump. If we hadn’t waited, we would have realized that the sewer drain was located up hill, to the point of being north of our RV sewer outlet. We had to dump by pulling the handle for only a couple seconds and then walking the sewage down the hose, to the drain. It was awful and took over an hour. When we complained, they said that half of their sites are up hill and half are down hill. Wow. We were very upset by this, but they just told us to call the owner.

We used the dump station at the end of our 8 day stay instead of trying to use our hookups again. There is no turnaround after the dump station, so we would up driving a half mile through their RV storage and then had to back up out of the dead end with no signs or directions of how else to get out. Ridiculous.

Also one day, the power and water was shut off for several hours for routine maintenance, but without notice to the campers- no signs, no warning. When we complained, they said an email was sent out a week ago to residents. Again, wow. A sign in the office, or a simple warning at check-in would have worked. We were not residents and could not have possibly received a warning with an email a week before we arrived.

So, about the park- it’s a residential area that includes houses, RV sites and a rentable conference building. The RV sites are crammed together on parking lots made of rocks. Unless you have a small rig, there is nowhere to park your vehicle. Luckily, we were next to a friend and could park our truck horizontally in front of our rig and theirs. Otherwise, I’m not sure what we would have done.

This is the cheapest place we could find in the Olympia, WA area, so I guess we might stay again if we could make sure the sewer was downhill and we could have a site that would accommodate parking.

Actual date of stay 03.2019. This is a unique stop for sure. The store has more than sausage, and they give you a $10 store credit, which was an unexpected perk. There are lots of gourmet items in the store and a bathroom you can use.

The RV park is small, but all the sites are pull-through and there is a large open field on one side to walk the dogs. We had FHUs, the area was clean, well-maintained and mostly level, and we had 4 bars Verizon LTE. Easy on, easy off of I-75. There is some hwy and train noise, but it’s not terrible.

If you like meats, cheeses and sauces, this is definitely worth the overnight stop.

Actual stay was October 2018. This is a wide dirt road just off the main road. The road does become narrower, so be cautious not to travel past the coordinates with a Lg rig. No trees, open for solar, fairly level after the first small grade, and 4 bars Verizon LTE.

Even though it is close the highway, it is fairly quiet. The town has a few amenities including a tire shop that carries Goodyear Endurance tires. My stock tires had just worn their tread, so I was happy this little shop had what I wanted to replace them with!

We did see a convoy of military tanks on trailers in the morning, but it’s Nevada, so you should expect that.

Very easy access. Didn't have to disconnect the truck from the 5th wheel. Quiet the whole time, even with casino traffic. A few other RVs stayed as well, but these lots are as big as several Walmart-sized lots and there were no cars parking there. Shuttles were not running due to COVID, but we rode our bikes to the casino and had a beer at the restaurant before turning in.
