Large, flat parking lot. The lot was adjacent to the casino. We have a Travato and could easily drive over to casino. Everyone was friendly. We returned to the parking area to overnight park. We were traveling from Ohio to New York. There were about 3-5 other RVs and a few semi trucks. We felt safe in the well lit area. I think we saw casino security drive around perimeter of parking area. Fast food and gasoline stations are very close.
Vanlife will have you sleeping in more parking lots than you could imagine, so let me be real when I say this is a good one.
It’s so quiet (aside from the seagulls).
We have a winniebago revel and easily could park over at the casino and then drive back to the lot for the night.
Security and staff was all friendly.
I don't live far from Erie, but had more to do in Erie than I could fit in one evening. Decided to take the camper and dog along for the ride.
Called ahead and was assured by Casino they allow parking, but wasn't sure about unhooking and leaving the camper there. No problem at all!
This front parking lot is huge and hardly used by anyone other than traveling RVs. There were 5 others while I was there. Ran my errands, came and went as I pleased, had a couple nice walks around the well lit parking lot, and even did a little gambling.
With all the cameras around, I felt very safe in spending the night and leaving my camper parked while I was away. Just off the highway and not far from everything Erie has to offer. Will definitely stay again!
Big overflow casino lot is empty and was good for a quiet and clean area to stay overnight. A few trucks came in overnight and one other RV’er. Better than many campgrounds I’ve stayed in!!!
Nice and level! Huge parking lot. 3 other campers here and we were all on separate ends of the parking lot. Parking lot is monitored by cameras and there was still driving security in the lot. Very quiet it’s a pretty good distance to the casino. We did call ahead and got permission.
We stayed here in late May 2022. The lot is very easy to get to off of interstate 90. There was plenty of space to find a private spot of your own. There's a hot dog and beer garden, Lucky Louies, a short walk away. Security cruised around and monitored the lot.
Surprisingly quiet, nice place to stay with our 44' 5th wheel. Security makes the rounds all night and there was plenty of green space to walk our dogs. Great alternative to staying in a truck stop. Would absolutely stay again.
What more could you want in a free overnight camping area? It’s quiet, safe, paved, level and lots of open spaces. Right off the interstate with east access and plenty of room for any sized RV. Consistent security and casino shuttles roam through the lot day and night which felt safe. If you park at one of the grass edges it does lean into the grass so we needed one block. Full AT&T LTE bars. Great spot, highly recommend for an overnight stop.
We arrived around 7 and we were the only ones there. Went into the casino and played a few slots. Would have eaten there but the buffet was closed and there was a 45 min wait for the restaurant. We ended up walking right across the street to sheetz and getting something to eat there. I would not recommend parking right next to the entrance road side because people kept walking there to get to the casino. We just parked a bit farther in. Parking lot is well lit at night and there are cameras everywhere. A bit noisy until about 11. Would definitely recommend for a quick overnight stay. Also weren’t sure if we needed to check in so we mentioned to the security at the front door entrance we were there and he was fine with it. No real need to say anything
Level paved parking lot away from the main casino parking. Easy to come in after dark. Nobody is close together. Some road noise. I haven’t seen any security, as others have mentioned but it seems safe.
