We bought our trailer and drove it straight here to prep for full time travel. After calling 9 other parks in the Dallas area, which were full, this one said, "we're never full!" I guess that could be a bad thing if it were so terrible no one ever stayed, but that's not the case. This place is just HUGE, with over 200 sites; covered, shaded, or unshaded with pull-throughs and back-ins.

We stayed for a month ($325 + Electric @ $0.14/kWh). We had to put down a $150 deposit for elec. and we used $136 worth in July with 1 air conditioner. Our site was decent with a little bit of shade.

There is an on-site RV repair guy, which I was thankful for when I couldn't figure out a problem I was having with my water pump. <$70 for 1 hour labor and $11 part, which I thought was fair, and I learned something new about my water pump (priceless)!

There is a mix of people who live there full time, stay there a while, and camp overnight, but everyone was friendly, including the staff. Pool was nice. Breakfast is served for tips. And, there is a dog area with a wash station, but I used the massive field to let my dog run around (responsibly, of course).

All-in-all, it was a good first location, but now we're headed out for full time travel!

Several months before coming to Asheville, we had planned to stay in town for the week, but as we got closer and started planning in greater detail, we realized it was expensive to stay anywhere near there. We were still planning to see a friend of ours in Marshall, so we booked this place for the night.

I can’t say much about this CG’s amenities, as we arrived late and left early, but I will say that you should DEFINITELY arrive during the daylight.

The roads to the CG are very tight and twisty, as are the roads in the CG. Also, the lighting and signage is not very good at directing you where you need to go. It didn’t help that it was dumping rain on us. We were also both fighting severe head colds. It was a bad night.

The layout of this park is very strange. You have to drive up a steep incline to get the office. The road is barely wide enough for your RV, and if you don’t have a back-in site up there, you have to exit the park, swing back around, and then go past the entrance to get to the pull-throughs. There was a sign for the pull-throughs, but no light guiding us into the drive way, and the road is a curvy disaster waiting to happen. It would definitely be easier in the daylight and without rain, but it’s still tight.

The park was nearly full, there are apartments on-site, and we witnessed two trailers stuffed into one pull-though next to us. Also, the back-in sites were very close together.

Since we were literally under-the-weather, we asked for a late check-out time and were denied the request. We won’t be back.

This park is like so many we’ve seen inside a city: city noise, including an adjacent lot with some construction type equipment that started up pretty early, tight spacing, and crowded, but convenient from the highway and to the city.

Price reflects Passport America, we had usable Wifi, 3 bars Verizon LTE, and 50 amp FHUs. Actual date of stay was April 2018. We would only stay here again during times they accept PA (April 1 - Sept 30).

We filled propane here and picked up a pint of Blue Bell Ice Cream from the camp store. Staff is friendly and check in was simple. We called ahead of our stay to ask if we could receive a couple of packages and they graciously held them and allowed us to pick them up upon arrival.

The back half of the park is dog friendly, but the front is not. There are a lot of people living here and some sites reflect poorly on that, but it wasn’t too bad, and we didn’t have any problems.

See our blog post listed here on Campendium for a more detailed review.

Price is for the month. $22/night regularly, but they also accept Passport America, Escapees, & AARP.

This is basically a very large dirt/gravel lot with 4 long, level rows for RVs. Sites are large and spacious- some of the largest we’ve seen in our 1.5 years of full timing.

50/30/20 amp FHUs. Also, 2 washing and 2 drying machines ($1.50 honor box) as well as a bathroom with a shower. Wifi available, but only okay in the center of the park. 3 bars Verizon LTE.

Close to a road, but not much traffic- usually pretty quiet. The road goes to Lajitas/Terlingua/Big Bend and is GORGEOUS!! Runs along the Rio Grande and includes a 15% grade, so don't take a big rig unless you're prepared.

The park is very close to Mexico if you want to take a trip over the border. We’ve been told by locals it is very safe, but we did not cross, so no personal experience.

We used this area for scouting local dry camping in the nearby National Forest. Easy in and out and lots of space. The farthest side of the lot from the 101 is a bumper-to-bumper style RV section with 30 amp electric available. The back of the lot farthest from the casino has lampposts with 15 amp receptacles. We also saw RVs parked in the middle of the lot not plugged in.

Check in inside with DL and vehicle license plates. No player card registration required. Usually a 3-day limit but can ask for more. Free nightly entertainment. We saw 2 comedians and then there was a Big Band scheduled the following night.

Casino is not 24 hours, so night time is quiet. Traffic not bad during the day either.

Verizon internet service was practically unusable in the lot, but free Wifi inside.

Grassy areas for dogs around the perimeter of the lot. Please be responsible and pick up waste.

We stayed here on our way from Arizona to Colorado. Price reflects Passport America. Easy access, close to the Expressway and ABQ. As with most parks near a city, the sites are tight, but they are mostly pull-thrus and it’s close to the city, but not too close. Actual stay was May 2018.

Check in was easy and the staff was friendly. Did not use the facilities, but the park was clean. 3 bars Verizon LTE, Wifi, and 50 amp FHUs. Park is dog friendly, but no off-leash area. Nothing too exciting here, but good for a spot close to ABQ.

There is a small repair trailer at the front offering propane and small repairs. Camping World is located next door if you need any supplies.

We camped off-season and were the only campers in the place, so it was nice and quiet! A short walk from the campground, there is a tiny boat launch with a dock that extends into the bay, with a nice view of the water (see pic). Our stay was brief and we didn’t use any of the facilities, but the grounds were clean, there was a trash can at our site, and we had plenty of room for our 35' 5th wheel and Ram 2500.

We had FHU, but there was also a dump station on-site. Small camp store with firewood available.

Actual date of stay was 01.2019. There aren’t many options for good RV parks in El Paso, but this one is decent. The staff is friendly, and the park is clean and level, but the sites are tight, and the area is a bit noisy- pretty much what you might expect from an RV park in a city.

We had FHU and a reliable 3 bars Verizon LTE. Not much space for dog-walking. Okay for a night or two.

This is the nicest place we’ve stayed in so far in our 2 months of full time RV travel. We usually look for budget-friendly places, but we were in town for my cousin’s wedding and this was a super convenient location. $38 per night is the off-season rate. The park is very large with many amenities. Good wifi, indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs, walking paths, very clean restrooms and showers, nice park employees, and quiet atmosphere (again, this is an off-season review).

Nearly $50 to fill two 30lb propane tanks.

My wife and I ran a fireworks tent nearby for New Year's and we had been dry camping in the parking lot for 7 days prior to staying here (stayed Jan. 1-3, 2018) This was a nice change of scenery. Spaces are close, but manageable. We had 50amp FHUs, but the water pressure was low. 4 bars Verizon LTE. There is a fenced in dog area with neighboring cows. This is one of the only NON-55+ parks in the area.

A little pricey for us, but they do have lower rates for longer stays.
