There are no campfires aloud on the premise because of the city ordinances. The road noise is ridiculous! It's right off a major highway and road. Honestly if you are an older couple who just wants to sit inside the camper or outside with no fire, it's ok.
Campground was convenient to visit family so that’s why we chose it. We prefer much more space. The sites are extremely close together. We had no shade on our site. We had no choice of site and there was no online registration. The views were very limited. Bath house/restrooms were clean and adequate. The pool was clean. You are definitely paying for location.
This is a nice but busy place. The location is perfect for the Biltmore Estate, Chimney Rock and Blue ridge parkway as well as others. Sites can be a little tight but adequate. Parking is paved and within the leveling range of most units. Traveling & touring campers will find this place just right.

We stayed here so we could be close to Asheville. It was a pretty typical private RV park experience - tight sites, full hook-ups, and lots of activity going on. There is some road noise, but that's what you get if you want to be close to the city. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and found it convenient to everything we wanted to visit, and not a bad price for the area.

OK, I'm totally panning this place based on the site we had but there were actually some sites in here that would be "RV Park fine". Our site though, seriously, in five years of traveling I've never seen anything like it. The sewer connection for the next site was literally right beside our rig. The neighboring site, which was empty was so close that if someone were there we wouldn't be able to pull through our pull through.
We were just there for an overnight and for that, it worked fine. Reasonably close to town and close to the highway for easier access (although the curvy road wasn't the easiest). If passing through again it wouldn't be my first or second choice but if nothing else was available I would stay again.

Several months before coming to Asheville, we had planned to stay in town for the week, but as we got closer and started planning in greater detail, we realized it was expensive to stay anywhere near there. We were still planning to see a friend of ours in Marshall, so we booked this place for the night.
I can’t say much about this CG’s amenities, as we arrived late and left early, but I will say that you should DEFINITELY arrive during the daylight.
The roads to the CG are very tight and twisty, as are the roads in the CG. Also, the lighting and signage is not very good at directing you where you need to go. It didn’t help that it was dumping rain on us. We were also both fighting severe head colds. It was a bad night.
The layout of this park is very strange. You have to drive up a steep incline to get the office. The road is barely wide enough for your RV, and if you don’t have a back-in site up there, you have to exit the park, swing back around, and then go past the entrance to get to the pull-throughs. There was a sign for the pull-throughs, but no light guiding us into the drive way, and the road is a curvy disaster waiting to happen. It would definitely be easier in the daylight and without rain, but it’s still tight.
The park was nearly full, there are apartments on-site, and we witnessed two trailers stuffed into one pull-though next to us. Also, the back-in sites were very close together.
Since we were literally under-the-weather, we asked for a late check-out time and were denied the request. We won’t be back.

This was the second time we stayed here. Close to downtown Asheville which we love. On the side of West Asheville which is a hidden gem. Close to roads so you do have a lot of Road noise. Sites are close but clean. Not the most friendliest staff but we enjoy come because of the location.

We worked in the area for 13 weeks and parked here the entire stay. It has a nice location to downtown and hiking. Staff was very friendly. The sites are pretty close together but there is a small patch of grass with picnic tables at every site. It is not as scenic as some other campgrounds in the area, but that of course comes with a price. The worst part about our stay was the bathrooms. They were not cleaned regularly and despite the signs several people smoked in them or dumped their ash trays in the bathroom garbage can.

We only stayed here one night because we wanted to be close to downtown Asheville for a date night out. The Uber ride was around $12 so it was perfect. The staff was friendly and the campground was clean. The sites were a little close together, but that didn't bother us. We had great cell and wifi service and the laundry/bath house was nice. I did a load of laundry and have no complaints! The pool was closed for the season, but it looked like it was a nice size. They had a vending machine and drinks were only 50 cents - I haven't seen that anywhere in years! All in all - not tons to do in the campground, but a great location for exploring downtown Asheville.

While we had a nice view from the back side of our campsite, there wasn’t much else that would bring us back here. First, the drive is pretty narrow and cars are parked all along the side making it extremely difficult to back in. Luckily the people across from our site were leaving as we pulled up or I don’t think we would have made it into our spot. Our campsite was not a great fit for our rig - the hookups were in the middle on the drivers side instead of at the back, and so we had to choose between our sewer hookup or putting out our slide. There was also sludge all around the hookups which was pretty gross. Lastly, there was very little room between campsites, and so you hear everyone coming and going around you... including loading in and packing up.
It was only a 10 minute drive into town, and close to the highway for getting back on the road. The price point at $45/night (with a good Sam discount) is far too high for what you get here.
