We usually stop here a couple times a year as we make the east/west transition. At $20/night for a full hookup site the price can’t be beat! If you can live with W/E only, there are sites for $15.

Close to I-40 for on and off purposes, but far enough that the highway noise isn’t a bother. Sites are great and well sized. Most are pull through.

Excellent Verizon and T-Mobile coverage. First come first served sites only. So be careful on weekends and arrive in the early afternoon. Have a backup plan in case you are traveling on weekends or holidays.

We stopped here for one night on a cross country trip. The facilities are excellent. The sites are large, nicely landscaped and everything works. Check in was east and the staff were helpful. Since this was during the Covid pandemic we were restricted to our site and did not check out any of the amenities or the adjacent casino.

Verizon internet was excellent as was the campground WiFi (until about 5 PM when the campground WiFi slowed down.)

There is some highway noise which is typical for overnight stops within a few miles of the freeway in this part of the country. Fortunately, there are no trains nearby! The Highway noise was affected by the wind direction and was just short of being annoying during our stay.

We used this for an overnight while going cross country. The sites are short and narrow. The staff was very friendly. But the Highway and train noise were awful. We had a terrible night’s sleep and needed to plan a shorter drive the next day to ensure we didn’t fall asleep at the wheel.

We stopped here for one night while traveling cross country. This proved to be a very convenient and enjoyable place to stop when traveling on I-40 yet far enough from the freeway that we could not hear it. This is a rare feat with KOAs near an interstate. The staff were very Covid aware and implemented a non contact check in which we appreciated. The sites are level and typical for a commercial RV park. We did not try any of the amenities. The on-site WiFi was very fast until around 5:30 PM when everyone must have jumped on to stream Netflix. Verizon cell signal was sufficient to stream video. This will become a regular stop for us when traveling cross country on I-40.

The campsites are fairly close together and offer no privacy. This is typical for nearly all KOAs and private campgrounds so if this turns you off, keep on driving.

However, this CG offers excellent access to all of the city and even has a light rail station right in front of the campground. While this location is in an urban location and close to rail lines, the airport and highway, these sounds all blended into a typical urban white noise. The normal flight path of jets at the airport do not take them anywhere near the campground, the highway is far enough that you don’t hear it and the trains are far enough away to be in the background.

The CG is located in a light industrial section of town but we felt quite safe.

Most of the sites are sufficiently angled that despite being on top of each other, you do have some sense of separation. There are trees throughout the site which would be very welcome on hot sunny days. However, those same trees can block satellite TV, but there are excellent over the air channels and the campground has decent cable TV so you shljldn’t miss your satellite.

This park has AMAZING free WiFi. We clocked speeds of 60MB down and 30 to 40 up on the CG WiFi network! Even when th CG was full, we got close to those speeds. Also, Verizon had blazing fast speeds. Did not try AT&T or any other carrier, but being in an urban area these should have been fine as well.

The staff are friendly, all the utilities worked properly. Most of the sites are pull through and can accommodate the largest rigs.

This is a very convenient campground for those traveling along I-57. Highway noise is apparent but not overly intrusive with the doors and windows of our rig closed (it’s mid October so we are fine with this.) The rate is reasonable for a full service site. The sites are reasonably spacious for a private campground. We would not use this facility for more than an overnight stay as we generally prefer quieter settings.

Verizon cell data service was excellent! We did not try the campground WiFi.

This is a newer private campground; the facilities are newer and well maintained (i.e., pool, basketball court, playground, fishing pond, bathrooms and laundry.) Proximity to Georgetown Kentucky during the annual Horsey Hundred bike ride is our reason for being here during a Memorial Day holiday weekend. This is a very good campground for families with children or for those who want to explore the Georgetown, KY area (in addition to the Horsey Hundred bike ride, this area is in the heart of the "Bourbon Trail" and some of the most beautiful rolling hills and Kentucky's world class horse country.) The Toyota Kentucky plant where they assemble Camrys is about five miles away and has daily tours (book in advance!)

The sites are square to the road so that access is a little trickier than with an angled sites. The sites and roads are gravel and could get bit dusty when the campground is busy. The sites are typically sized for a private campground but large enough for a large sized RV to extend it's slides. There is no privacy between the sites (typical for private campgrounds in our experience.) All sites are three way (W/E/S) and level side to side. Our site had a fair amount of slope front to back which is easily addressed in a travel trailer but not so much in a motor-home.

The closeness of the sites meant that when the "smoke people" arrived (i.e., weekend campers) the entire campground looked like downtown Beijing during a temperature inversion. For this reason alone we would probably try to stay at the nearby Kentucky State Park in the future (i.e., The Kentucky Horse Park.)

I-75 is about two miles to the west and there can be some highway noise at times if there is a gentle breeze from the west. I mention this in case someone is extremely sensitive, in general we did not find the highway noise to be an issue and we are generally sensitive to this!

It appears that approximately half the sites are occupied by seasonal campers who use this as a "weekend cottage." There are few if any "permanent residents." The seasonal campers and sites are well maintained (no junk.) .

We do not normally stay in KOAs but we had a mechanical issue with our tow vehicle which necessitated an unplanned couple of day stay in Kingman, Arizona. We were pleasantly surprised at this small tidy campground in the outskirts of town (yet near all the typical shopping facilities.) The sites are level but otherwise nothing special (this is AZ after all, to expect anything but dirt is delusional.) The staff does a very nice job at keeping the place very clean. While we did not have many requests during our short stay, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Most sites are pull through and can accommodate big rigs. The sites were typical private RV park sized, but slightly wider than normal. All utilities worked as advertised. Verizon reception was excellent and LTE was fast enough for HD video streaming.

If we needed a place to stay in the Kingman area in the future, we would definitely stay here.

This was a pretty basic "KOA style" private campground. The sites are level and typical for this type of campground. The staff is very friendly and they do a good job of keeping the place clean and in working order. Verizon internet was good. The utilities work well.

Probably the best thing going for this place is it's easy access from I-10 and the fact that it's still far enough from the freeway that highway noise is not a problem. There is a train that runs through town about a mile away, but it's not so close as to be an annoyance.

We stopped here on a cross country overnight and enjoyed not listening to trucks and highway noise all night long as is so common in RV parks in this part of the country (the I-40 corridor.) The nearby airport has so few flights that it’s not an issue. There are some train tracks in the area and plenty of trains roll by all day and night but it was just far enough that the noise didn’t keep us up at night. The staff were very friendly and cooperative. Check in was quick and safe even in these COVID times. The campground WiFi was quite fast until about 5 PM when everyone must have started to watch Netflix. Verizon data service was fast enough to stream HD video. The sites are typically small for a commercial campground but were easy to get into.

The four star rating is based on the suitability of this campground for a peaceful overnight while traveling through Amarillo which is otherwise notorious for having very poor RV park choices.
