This is a newer private campground; the facilities are newer and well maintained (i.e., pool, basketball court, playground, fishing pond, bathrooms and laundry.) Proximity to Georgetown Kentucky during the annual Horsey Hundred bike ride is our reason for being here during a Memorial Day holiday weekend. This is a very good campground for families with children or for those who want to explore the Georgetown, KY area (in addition to the Horsey Hundred bike ride, this area is in the heart of the "Bourbon Trail" and some of the most beautiful rolling hills and Kentucky's world class horse country.) The Toyota Kentucky plant where they assemble Camrys is about five miles away and has daily tours (book in advance!)
The sites are square to the road so that access is a little trickier than with an angled sites. The sites and roads are gravel and could get bit dusty when the campground is busy. The sites are typically sized for a private campground but large enough for a large sized RV to extend it's slides. There is no privacy between the sites (typical for private campgrounds in our experience.) All sites are three way (W/E/S) and level side to side. Our site had a fair amount of slope front to back which is easily addressed in a travel trailer but not so much in a motor-home.
The closeness of the sites meant that when the "smoke people" arrived (i.e., weekend campers) the entire campground looked like downtown Beijing during a temperature inversion. For this reason alone we would probably try to stay at the nearby Kentucky State Park in the future (i.e., The Kentucky Horse Park.)
I-75 is about two miles to the west and there can be some highway noise at times if there is a gentle breeze from the west. I mention this in case someone is extremely sensitive, in general we did not find the highway noise to be an issue and we are generally sensitive to this!
It appears that approximately half the sites are occupied by seasonal campers who use this as a "weekend cottage." There are few if any "permanent residents." The seasonal campers and sites are well maintained (no junk.) .

Everyone we spoke with here was very friendly and welcoming. The park is kept clean and maintained very well. Bathhouses are spacious and clean. Our site backed up to a small lake. Nice playground for kids. We visited off season but the pool area looks nice too.

Let’s start from the beginning. Road to the campground is about 1 1/2 miles long and kinda tight in spots. Check in was smooth and people were friendly. Had someone take us to our site and help get me backed in. Site backed up to a fishing pond. Was pretty level, just needed one 2x4 under the left wheels. Site wasn’t very wide and there are no shade trees at all in the park. Lots for kids to do with a nice pool, pavilion with a stage and a band on Saturday night, several inflatables for kids to play on, a fishing pond and basketball court. Hookups were easy but the sites along the pond the drain for the tanks has to flow up hill a bit. City water so pressure is at 72 pounds. Make sure to bring a regulator. Bath houses are individual rooms with toilets and shower. Very nice and clean. Hot water took about 2-3 minutes but was good and hot. Staff very friendly and campground was well kept. Overall, a great place except for no shade and closeness of some sites.

We stayed here while traveling from NC to MI and were very pleased with the campground. The staff was friendly and helpful. The facilities were clear and well maintained. The sites are large and fairly level.
You really can't ask for more from a private campground. Sure you don't get shaded lots and the sites are close together but you have to expect that will a private campground. Only government run parks are likely to be different.
Additionally, both the cellular signal and tv signals were good.
So, I would say overall a great private campground. If I had to think of something negative to say I would have to chose the road leading into the campground could be wide and better paved but it wasn't really a big deal because there was a lot of traffic. If not for that I would give 5 stars for everything and I don't consider myself easily pleased.

Whispering Hills RV Park, Georgetown, KY
9-8-19 - 9-15-19 $230. for week. GS discount
Nice, large campground with pool, playground, lake, pavilion, basketball court, 2 small laundry/bathhouses. Pretty good WiFi, good amount of space between most sites which have plastic table and fire ring. ice and limited supplies in office. Escort to sites which were fairly level gravel. Provided jack pads if needed. Cons : NO cable, dusty interior roads, limited number of bath houses for the number of sites, some road noise from interstate and train whistles. Have to sign paper that you will not put rugs or vehicles on grass - had read other reviews about this, but basically they want you to respect their property. We were in site 21 backed to deep ravine . There were some trees behind the site which were nice. Most of the park is clear of trees. Those that back to lake have a nice view.
Tips: Creation Museum is about 1 hour north and Ark Encounter about 30 minutes north, both are well worth the visit - plan at least one full day at each. Toyota Factory tour in Georgetown is very interesting, and the Kentucky Horse Park is well worth a visit if you are interested in horses (another full day tour). Only visited one of many distilleries in the area. Lexington has some interesting history around the area, but that will have to wait for another trip. There is shopping and restaurants convenient to the RV Park right off the interstate a few miles from park. There is a small Camping World store too.

Great experience here. Verizon internet was good, 25 down/8 up. Friendly staff. Easy propane fill on site, delivered right to your camper. Wide and level pull thru sites. Very nice bathrooms and laundry room. Big playground for the kids with basketball courts. Good value for the pull thru at $35/night for the weekly rate.

The park is easy to access from interstate. The entry road to the park is narrow, but managable. The park host escorted us to our site, and he was very helpful. We had a pull thru site. The sites were gravel, and mostly level. The thing that I didnt enjoy was how close the sites are to one another. Our neighbors picnic table was practically on our sewer access. The park is well maintained, and mostly full. The bathhouse was well maintained. For a pass thru night, the park was very nice and convienient. It is not a place that I would like to spend a weekend due to the close proxiity of the sites. Also the gravel throughout the park was very dusty and tracked into the camper.. For the amenities, I feel the park was overpriced.

We stayed here one night on our way to Indiana and it was okay, just for that. I wouldn't stay longer, at least in the part of the park we were put in. If we stay again, we will pay the extra for a premium site. We were packed in so closely that it wasn't comfortable to sit outside the rig. Vehicles had to be parked along the road as the sites weren't long enough for the truck and trailer. This made it difficult to drive at times. We had to ask our neighbors to move their trucks when it was time for us to leave and it was still a tight situation. The road driving into the park is very narrow. I would hate to meet another truck or RV on it. One of us would have to back up for sure.
On the positive side, the park is pretty big, the staff is very nice, it's clean and seems to be well taken care of. The showers and laundry are open but we didn't use them so cannot say anything other then that they're open, which is a plus. They have a large children's play area and a bouncy/trampoline area that the kids seem to enjoy. The park seems like a family kind of park with lots for kids to do. As an empty nester, I'm looking more for a peaceful campsite where I can relax by the fire in the evening. This wasn't it for me. At least in the sites/area east of the office.
