Nice stay for one night in a van. Our site had a nice view of the valley, but was pretty unlevel. Seems like many were. New bath house and a dump station. Did laundry in town. Was a good stop between Keji and Annapolis Valley.

We didn’t have he best impression or experience at this KOA. While the site was “fine,” there were enough negatives that we would not stay here again. The positives... there were lots of trees around in our section, a nice laundry and store, and holiday lights. But a few things really turned us off. First, although there was a sign on the door for masks, most of the employees neither wore them or social distanced when dealing with customers. Second, we had a large tire rut in our spot that was filled with mud. We nicely asked if they could fill it for us, as more rain was expected, and we wanted to mitigate the mess. We were told no, that they don’t have filler (okay, that’s fine), but also they “don’t do that” and if I want to fix it myself I am welcome to. We don’t carry a shovel or rake, but several of their employees riding around on carts seemed able to do something about it. We just didn’t understand that having never encountered such a position. Finally, when you first drive in, there are rows of permanent residence trailers that are not required to keep their site clean or neat. It’s a bad first impression. Short term campers are in another location though. Per other reviews, there is a lot of military plane noise if that bothers you. We were okay with that.

Loved this park! Nice, spacious sites. Clean and well maintained bathrooms and showers. Wonderful, well marked hiking trails. And very nice camp hosts. Seriously everything you need!

A great stop right off the highway. Super nice staff, easy in and out (make sure you pay attention to the left turn in past the gas station). Not the biggest or roomiest sites, but we weren’t there for vacation. We stayed an extra day to stock up on groceries and also enjoyed the Mexican restaurant in walking distance.

The remodel they have done here is fantastic. The place is beautiful, clean, and really well landscaped. The pool area and beach are both nice. We kayaked right from the dock. It’s pretty pricey, but all the amenities are there. (We we’re really happy we were no where near the construction.)

We were visiting family in the area and couldn’t get in the nearby state park, so chose this park. We didn’t love it from the beginning. There are a ton of seasonal spots, some run down and tacky and others full of golf carts and parties. Neither appeal to us. The quiet time is not enforced at all. The laundry area was clean and convenient. Didn’t use the bath, showers or other amenities. We left a day early and got a refund, so we were pleasantly surprised by that. Have had better experiences at Sun properties.

We stayed for one night while heading south. It is less than a mile off the 95. There were several gas stations along the way up and back too, which was nice. The campground is “fine” for a one night stay. The staff was super nice and escorted us to our site, which was a pull through and level. We were on the busier road so there was a lot of traffic in and out, especially first thing in the morning. (There is a large area in the back and separate of long term residents.) The sites are fairly close together. But what was really kind of a turnoff was that there was a small grass area at each site and it was completely overgrown. Like a foot high. It would go a LONG way to have the sites looking better given the small amount of outdoor space.

We had a nice week stay here. I was a little nervous based on the lack of and mixed reviews i read before booking. We were on the top level where we had a concrete slab, but it wasn’t quite wide enough to step on to and had mud outside our door the whole week. (They did try and fix it, but it rained multiple times). Our site wasn’t on the cliff side, so didn’t really have too much of a view. And we did have to use leveling blocks, which on a slab was a bummer. If we stayed again, we would probably just stay on the bottom where everyone is lined up and it’s less fancy, but would have been fine for us. We were not really at our site that much, we spent time out and about on the water and exploring the area. The use of free kayaks, canoes and SUPs was great. And the staff and volunteers were all super nice and helpful. We used the laundry and it was a bit pricey but fine. We learned how short the season up there is and it justified a lot of the costs we encountered both at the pines and other places. We would stay again if in the area.

We enjoyed our two days here (and wanted to stay longer). It was a nice little private, full hookup campground. Our site was spaced well, not hugely far apart, with a nice woodsy area behind us. The staff was super nice and the ice cream was great. We didn’t use the facilities otherwise. The location was a couple miles outside of Bayfield but an easy drive and central to the peninsula.

What a little old school gem of a campground. The sites were well manicured and had lots of trees. The staff was super nice. The amenities are dated, but kept up. And they have beer, wine and pizza. It doesn’t get better for a quick overnight stay. A definite great stop when heading up or down the 95 in this area!
