Turning off Highway 12 it was difficult to find the signs because some construction in the parking lot. The dump station has potable water but no hose. No trashcan so drop your trash in the dumpster before leaving the campground.

I camped here almost two years ago and the dirt road to West Tower Camping was in good shape and it still is. This year there was a camp host that came by to record my license and say hello. The bathroom is pretty nice w/ a flush toilet and a outside shower ( I did not use the shower). There is potable water and trash available but the trash cans were overflowing from the weekend. If you go and don’t have a large rig I’d recommend not staying by the tower, head down the dirt road past the tower and grab one of the designated campsites. They have picnic table which are in need of replacement and fire pits. I would probably give this site five stars if it weren’t for the barking pack of hunting dogs at the house across from the campground. It’s not the campgrounds fault but does detract from the peaceful feeling you get being back in the woods. One bar w/ T-Mobile, I got .15 download/.17 upload speeds. Just enough to text and make quick calls and I was able to stream a movie.

Mt Roosevelt Rd is well graded with almost no potholes and no washboard sections. A few pull offs coming up the road before this location (44.388218, -103.759013), then just past this location up the road is a big pull off and the shortly after that up the hill is room for 3 or 4 more rigs. There is a pit toilet a few minutes down the road at the Mt Roosevelt picnic area. Take the short hike to the Friendship Tower and the Mt Roosevelt Lookout, it's beautiful! We have Starlink which works here but really don't need it. Getting 2 bars 5G T-Mobile w/ speeds of 81.6 down & 19.1 up. Try and get here around mid-late afternoon. We got here on a Friday about 3pm and got this last good spot.

Well maintained gravel road, scenic views of the hills, majestic sunsets, great place to relax and reboot. You may have neighbors but plenty of space between sites. Getting one bar T-Mobile 6.76 mbps down, .45 mbps up.

The amenities at this free campsite are probably the best that we’ve seen. Grassy campsites with fire rings nice picnic tables, clean bathrooms with flush toilets, trash cans available throughout the sites, water available that they request that you not hook up to the spigot. Climb the fire tower for beautiful view of the area. Hiking trails nearby. 15 minutes to Watkins Glen State Park. Verizon reception slow but usable for basic web surfing.

The view of Superstition Mountain is amazing! The park is very well maintained with nice bathrooms/showers. We were at site 135 (dry campsite) and it looked like one of the bigger sites and was close to the bathrooms but not close enough to be bothered by people going there. It was close right across the street from Siphon Draw Trailhead and the site was paved and close to level. It had a picnic table and fire ring/grill. I must mention when we walked the campground other sites were a little crammed together.

I'll start this off by saying we hardly ever stay at private campgrounds. But this campground was good, check in was easy, we got there a little early and the site was open. Our site was gravel, spacious, mostly level with a nice picnic table and fire ring. The feel here, as stated in other reviews, is that of a state park campground with lots of trees and a nature trail. We didn't use the pool but it looks nice. They have a nicely stocked camp store in case you forgot something, and they sell nice cuts of meat from a local butcher. The showers are by the pool and look clean and updated. They have a laundry room but we didn't need to wash anything. For trash they only have dumpsters by the entrance, across from the office. Soif you are on the back of the loop you have to walk a bit to dispose of your trash. It would be nice if they provided at least a trash can at the far end of each loop. The only other ding to this campground is the noise from the local road. Lots and lots of trucks going by 6 am to almost 11 pm. And they are very loud because of the steep grade on the road they have to be in low gear. There is nothing they can do about this but that's why I gave it 3 stars for noise.

Verizon download/upload/ping = 71.45/1.01/52 (using my VZW jetpack).

By far the nicest of the three National Park Campgrounds along the Natchez Trace. Super easy access, a lot of pull thru sites, mostly level, w/ picnic tables and fire rings. The sites are well spaced out and clean. Plenty of trash cans available throughout the campground, nice bathrooms w/ flush toilets and potable water available. There is a nice hike on the Meriwether Loop trail that follows and crosses a creek.

We got 1 to 2 bars of T-Mobile LTE, 37.2 mbps down/2.96 mbps up.

This was a very quiet a peaceful stop for us, if we didn't have other plans we would have stayed another night or two.

We don’t normally camp in private RV parks (mostly boondock) but we were attending a wedding right next to this campground so it was very convenient. This place is well kept and the staff was very friendly when we checked in. Facilities include clean bathhouses with showers with nice hot showers and washer & dryers ($1.50), firewood available for $5, and they keep it inside so it doesn’t get wet. What amazed me was the campground WiFi was actually usable, we were able to stream video with no problem. And we lucked out and got an awesome site! Site #10 is gravel, fairly level, overlooks the pond and is so peaceful. The campground itself was quiet but we did get noise from the traffic on the main road. The water spigot at our site was not very convenient as it was only about an inch off the ground and right next to the sewer hookup, but the water quality seemed good.

Overall, great campground and we would definitely stay again.

When we pulled into this campground the office was closed, the camp store was closed, and the bath house was closed. They only have 4 rv sites and they aren't close to being level. Our site was right in front of the closed bath house which was being renovated so all we heard were the workers talking loud, their loud music, and power tools. We couldn't have a fire because according to their rules you can't bring in firewood from outside the campground and the camp store was closed so we couldn't buy any there, plus they state not to burn dead wood laying on the ground. We booked five nights here but when we were welcomed with the workers' music and power tools this morning at 8 am we packed up and left. We contacted management for the campground but have yet to hear from anyone. This might be an ok park for tent campers but we don't recommend for RV'ers. We will not go back there. Also, be aware Verizon coverage here is VERY slow!
