Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on May 27, 2019We camped here twice in November, 2016 in a 35 foot fifth wheel. We attend several Georgia Bulldog football games each fall and finally found a nice, affordable campground close to campus. With lots of trees and two small lakes it felt more like a state park than an RV park.
The office staff was very helpful and we got checked in quickly. Our site was a long and very wide pull through site with full hookups and a picnic table. We had plenty of privacy with trees all around and fencing separating the sites. The bath house near our site was spotless and even had a laundry.
Many of the sites are permanent but it was very quiet even on a football weekend. The campground also has tent sites and cabins for rent. Everything was clean and well maintained. The campground is under new management and they are adding several new sites.
The campground is less than 15 miles from the University of Georgia campus. Restaurants and shopping are available in Athens and nearby Watkinsville. AT&T coverage was weak but Verizon works well.
We will be back next year.

Karen, Steve and Dennis could not have been more accommodating. This was a first for us and we stayed for football season at UGA. Although we went home 4 days a week to work, we felt like the camper was safe and did not have to completely break down site every week. Full hookups, individual bathrooms in the bathhouse for those who have smaller bathrooms and they are always clean. The property is very well maintained and always progress happening. Catch and release ponds.....shady sites. Very sad to be packing up tomorrow. I’m certain we will be back for visits in the spring. Forgot to mention, extremely convenient to groceries and urgent care.

Impossible for kids to do school with the lack of connectivity. Their internet crawls and I have onboard at&t and sprint hotspots with weboost and Mimo antennas and can’t get a decent signal. Told them I needed to move on 4 days early and received a sorry about your luck but no refund at all.

We stayed 3 days over the Memorial Day weekend. The sites are great, clean, well spaced AND LEVEL!! This site is close to the laundry/bath house and also the lower level fishing pond. The staff are super friendly and welcoming and I would recommend EVERYONE to stay with them. The WiFi does lag a bit. It every campground I’ve stayed in the WiFi is that way. Think of all the people that are connected. But it was good enough for my kids to stream Netflix without buffering. The bathrooms are well kept and clean and are as nice as home bathrooms. We will definitely be back to spend some more time here. Also the pond has some good fishing. My son caught 12 brim in under an hour and I landed about a 2-3lb bass. GOOD LUCK! One of the best things we liked other than everything stated is it’s quietttttt. Give these awesome people a try!

We needed a way point on our way to Atlanta. We will certainly return. An email received the day before told us of the easy access and directed us to our site. although there were a number of long long-termer their site were well kept and all was quiet. The setting is in a forest on the side of a small lake. Definitely a place to return to. The highlight was a bird nest in the pet waste container with eggs in it. There was good cable and WiFi.

We don’t normally camp in private RV parks (mostly boondock) but we were attending a wedding right next to this campground so it was very convenient. This place is well kept and the staff was very friendly when we checked in. Facilities include clean bathhouses with showers with nice hot showers and washer & dryers ($1.50), firewood available for $5, and they keep it inside so it doesn’t get wet. What amazed me was the campground WiFi was actually usable, we were able to stream video with no problem. And we lucked out and got an awesome site! Site #10 is gravel, fairly level, overlooks the pond and is so peaceful. The campground itself was quiet but we did get noise from the traffic on the main road. The water spigot at our site was not very convenient as it was only about an inch off the ground and right next to the sewer hookup, but the water quality seemed good.
Overall, great campground and we would definitely stay again.

Super convenient to Athens and nearby groceries etc. Helpful and kind management and spotless bathroom (though I wish you didn’t have to enter through the laundry room which could be busy). Quiet even though it was pretty full lovely grounds. Fast password protected WiFi and good OATV.

We would have stayed here for weeks if we had known sooner how nice this place is. Exactly what we like. Large, shaded, level, pull through site! Very friendly staff. Each campsite, in our section, had trees and shrubs to separate them, giving privacy. Spot was wide and we didn’t have to worry about slide out. Quiet and clean. Used the laundry which was surprisingly close by and reasonably priced. We will keep this place on our list of favorites. We have a 30ft fifth wheel and travel all summer in it.

We stayed 3. Nights here and although the site was large, beautifully treed and quiet, we were warned that they have sugar ants, but this was way more than anticipated. We sprayed everywhere, but the invasion persisted. Excellent 30 amp service and wifi. Very clean and appreciated bathroom/shower facility. Were it not for the ants (non biting) I would give this a 5* review. Note this is just off a logging road so there is a fair bit of heavy traffic during the day.

This is one of the nicest and best run RV parks you will find. Very well maintained and super friendly and courteous staff. I love staying here when in the area to visit family.
