Very simple campground close to the center of town. The owners are great. Not too far from Glen Rose, which has canoeing, golfing (Squaw Valley about 25 miles away), & some great food. We found this place on the fly on a holiday weekend.
Grocery store within walking distance, and a few other shops, bars.
Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of no shower house on site. I give it 4.75 stars though!!

Really enjoyed our stay here. Our site wasn't the greatest, corner lot, but we enjoyed the scenery, solitude, & trails. The whole area is fantastic, I'd like to visit again.
The primitive sites here are even better than the modern ones FYI. I wouldn't hesitate to grab one of those for a couple nights.

We couldn't get into the state park so opted for here. Only 3 miles from the park. FHU at all sites. The place is brand new and will add a shower house eventually. Very quiet place during our stay, not many campers around.

So far, so good. Wide open, not much shade but beautiful in its own way. The sites are huge and not close to each other. San Angelo is a decent sized city, only a few miles from the park.

Let me first say that I truly loved the golf course that this new campground sits on. RIP Shawnee SP⛳
We only stopped for an overnighter on our way home from eastern Tennessee, so we nabbed a pull through (80 sites, probably 20+ pull thrus). The design here is really good, some real spacious sites. Not a lot of shade however, it was a golf course. I think I found my lost ball from 2002 lol. I think we will come back and stay longer in warmer weather ( we stayed on Halloween).
Nice area of Ohio. Portsmouth is nearby for supplies. Plenty of hiking & scenery. Splash pad for the kids. Not sure if you get pool privileges at the lodge ( 6 miles away) in season.
We got half price with our Golden Buckeye card, awesome discounts Sunday through Thursdays in all Ohio SPs.

Nice CG in the heart of Capitol Reef country. Sites are close together, there's road noise, but no worries. We slept well, keeping active sightseeing & hiking.
Showers are very clean, grounds in great shape, neighbors were quiet.

Stayed here for a week as I was competing in the World Police & Fire Games in Winnipeg. About a 35 minute drive into Winnipeg. I'd guess 85% of the campers are seasonal here. Nice amenities, pool is a bonus. Glad we picked this one, you never know how it's going to go in private parks ( we prefer state parks/COE). Prices reasonable. We were surprised at no tv reception from our antenna, and never knew the DISH Network satellite doesn't work in Canada ( no biggie, but sometimes you need tv lol).

We stayed after a long day's drive from the Davis Mountains. Really spacious pull through sites about a half mile from I-20. Did some laundry, and just recharged. Clean place & quiet.
