Small campground in a scenic area. The site we had (5) was FHU, a little closer to the adjacent sites than we'd like, but since the neighbors weren't there during our stay it wasn't a big deal. We didn't use the shower, but it was clean. Bathroom clean as well. They sold firewood on site. In late October, it wasn't very crowded, maybe 50% occupied so very quiet & enjoyable.

We'd return if back in the area. Great base camp for western NC/ eastern TN. Took a few scenic drives & hikes. Also, Murphy is about 10-15 minutes away for gas, groceries, restaurants, & general shopping. Cell service was spotty at times, but the campground does have wifi.

Wow, I really wish I booked 2 nights here, the stargazing is worth it. Very scenic area. Electric only, dump station & tank fill away from campground.

Just a peaceful place to unwind in a remote area.

First time ever visiting here, it lived up to all the positive reviews. We had a lakefront site, beautiful views. Campground was full yet quiet. Maybe two straight days of rain had something to do with it. Sites are spaced apart very well. Interior sites don't really have much of a lake view, but they are large. We enjoyed our stay despite the weather.

Well the stargazing is why we came & we weren't disappointed. Awesome night time stargazing.

The campground isn't anything special but it's very quiet & dark. Our site was larger than most state park sites we've visited, and no neighbors. Probably 50% capacity during our visit.

Hiked a couple trails, nothing special. If you're considering this place, do it for at least 2 nights.

This place is a good one. We only spent 2 days here, but had fun. Beautiful small beach, decent trails. The campsites are spaced out well, not much noise at all. We had a corner site, some people cut through it. Next time I'd pick another spot. Groceries & eateries close by.

We stayed here on our fall trip, and were happy with the place.Our site was right above the lake, and very wooded (loop B). Looks like the B loop sites are larger than A. Quiet place, lots of families enjoying it. If you had a boat, it would be even better. We have a 5th wheel,but noticed many folks in tents in our loop as well, as the layout is unique. The tent spots are secluded, a bit closer to the water as well. Bathroom/shower house was always clean. Arkansas State Parks are among the best IMHO.

We met up with our son's family here on their suggestion ( they really like it), & had a blast. Golf course on site, plenty of hiking trails ( not very long ones), a swimming pool (in season). FHU sites on the fairway loop, not much privacy but this place is great for young families. Bonus was the "ring of fire" eclipse while we visited.

Wide open spaces in the Whitetail Flats section, so no shade but the views are great. Spacious sites, very quiet. There are 3 loops, one a horsemen's camp but I think I saw a few travel trailers in there without horses. The other loop has height restrictions (10' max) so good options for the smaller trailers or tents. Shower house was always clean. If you plan on visiting TRNP south unit, this is a great option.

We haven't left yet, a couple more nights to go. Sites are pretty good and level, looks like most of the loops have been renovated recently. Quiet place, good stargazing. Only downside is it's really muggy, probably normal for here though.

We would like to return, only stopped for a night. They had a burn ban, so that's why we left. The place is really neat, the sites are spaced apart well with many on the water. Nice beach as well. CG host was great. On the list to return when we have more time.
