We stopped here for one night. It's a nice, roomy rest area, but of course was kind of noisy with all the semis coming and going. Since it had been a very long day and we were tired we slept okay, though. Hey, it's free, so can't complain. Our slot sloped a little bit from front to back, not not enough to bother anything.

My wife and I were on a month-long trip with our travel trailer to explore southern Arizona and up to Moab, UT to camp with one of our sons and his wife and stopped here our first night in Arizona. Indian Rocks is around 8-9 miles south of I-10 and Bowie, AZ. We arrived not long before sundown, so we were kind of in a hurry to find any spot and get set up for the night. As a result and because several other RVs were already set up, we did not get a real stellar campsite, but it was fine. The next morning I walked less than a quarter mile on up the dirt/gravel road and found two empty, absolutely awesome campsites. It figures. Ha Anyway, it was free and some really nice views out over the valley. It was quiet and the stars were pretty incredible that night (March 2018). We will definitely stop here again the next time we are passing through.

We stayed here while traveling from Florida to Colorado via the “southern” route three times so far (2015, 2018 and 2019). Very clean place. Good power for the needed A/C. It was hot! Well kept campground with a pool and interesting old cotton gin. Nice friendly staff. We recommend this campground.

This is a great spot for a campground and it could be a very nice campground if the owner took more of an interest in it. We had a lovely spot right beside the Talkeetna River and the campground is close to almost all the interesting places in Talkeetna. There are no hookups and no dump at this campground, so dry camping only. The $25 per night is for its location I guess. This seems to be a do anything you want campground, meaning make all the noise you like at any hour of the day or night. Little kids out playing at midnight, generators and loud music after 10:30 PM. While I hate to see a lot of rules, this place could use a few with some enforcement. I was in Talkeetna 15 years ago to climb Denali and the tourist crowds have increased tremendously since then, but the town remains one of my favorite places and my wife said it is a interesting place.

We stayed here one night in April 2019 while returning home from a Western trip. There is still a lot of hurricane (Michael) cleanup going on on I-10 and the lady who checked us in said the campground was almost wiped out by the hurricane. They still had large piles of fallen trees bulldozed over to the side and out of the way, but actually the campground was in pretty good shape. This is the second time we overnighted here. The first was a couple of years ago. No, it’s not a scenic place, but it was quiet. The only complaint we have is we were in a new Montana fiver and even though there were plenty of empty campsites she stuck us right next to what appeared to be a long term camper with his junk, tools and equipment spread all over his campsite. Really trashy looking. The staff is friendly. We would stay here again.

Very nice folks own and run this place. Escorted us to our site. Pull thru with FHU and good 50 amp power per our EMS. Lots of deer running around. Very quiet and peaceful, especially after the TX rest area last night. Pecans orchard and the sell pecans. Greeted us with a small sample. Delicious! We bought some. LOL. It’s about 5-7 miles east to Junction, TX. Very level campsite pad. We will definitely stay here again if we are out this way.

My wife and I spent the night here while on the way from the Denver area to Grand Teton National Park. We found it by accident, but we are so glad we did. We had a great night and the stars were fantastic. We camped on a bluff overlooking the lake on the south side. The area around is pretty much high desert sagebrush and you can see for miles. We could see a couple of other travel trailers on the other side of the lake, a good mile or two away I'd guess, but we had the south side all to ourselves. There were no hookups or amenities other than a fire ring that we put to good use. I think two pickups came down the road that night; otherwise, we were all alone. It was very peaceful and quiet. We recommend this location and would definitely stay here again if we were passing through.

We spent one night here after a very long day of driving. It's kind of on a hilltop overlooking a lake or the Arkansas River. Full hookups. Gravel pull-through sites. Concrete picnic table. Good power per our PI EMS. Mostly level. There is a bit of sewer smell outside, but I don't know if that is something to do with the campground or one of the tenants. There seems to be a lot of semi-permanent or long-term campers. We have a decent view of the river/lake out our back window. I did hear a train go by a little while ago; not sure if that will be troublesome tonight or not at this point. Didn't use the bathhouse facilities, so can't comment. The check in was easy (we were a late arrival) and the lady was businesslike. It is probably overpriced for what it is. We do not recommend this RV park unless someone is desperate for a place to spend the night. There are several others to choose from fairly close by.

This is an okay Campground on the banks of the Chena River. Sites are pretty level gravel with trees and bushes between. Gravel roads. Nice store for souvenirs, t-shirts, etc. Expensive laundry. Noon check in and do not try to check in 15 minutes early; they will not let you. Staff not overly friendly, but okay. We had a full hookup site, but our sewer drop was practically under our neighbor's picnic table. Lots of big rigs. Pretty clean, neat place. Our sitting area was very small because of bushes and was mostly dirt. Site held our 31' of travel trailer with a few feet to spare, but not enough room for our F150 to fit except sideways. Would we stay here again? Probably. Would I highly recommend this place? Probably not. The cable TV did not work well. Good Verizon and AT&T coverage and we could stream Netflix using our Mobley and Amazon Firestick. My PI EMS says the power is good, but the voltage did down to 109 volts once in a while.

We got here on Feb. 29, 2016 without a reservation and found a nice electric/water campsite without any problem. It's a find a site and self check in campground. I'm not sure there are any bad campsites. Great views from all of them. We used it as a base to go to White Sands National Monument and Alamogordo. BTW, my wife says to check out the massive Lowe's Signature Marketplace food store in Alamogordo. She was super impressed!
There is nothing I can add to what others have already said about this great park--just confirm all the positives already written. Awesome views all around! Amazing starlit skies! Great little museum/visitor center! Friendly visitor center volunteer! Never used the bathroom facilities, so cannot comment, other than they looked clean. Good Verizon LTE. We highly recommend this park.
