Chambers Rest Area Westbound

This rest area is a busy place for overnight. Some RVs but mostly Semis. Since we sleep with a fan and tv we didn't hear the noise as much. The place was safe and easy access.

We stopped here for one night. It's a nice, roomy rest area, but of course was kind of noisy with all the semis coming and going. Since it had been a very long day and we were tired we slept okay, though. Hey, it's free, so can't complain. Our slot sloped a little bit from front to back, not not enough to bother anything.

Plus cute raccoons running around. If you’ve got some white noise, it’s fine.

Nice and clean rest stop. The best part was that it was free. RV and truck parking was a bit more sheltered but still louder since it was near interstate. Some reviewers complained about that as well trucks coming in and out. It is a rest stop after all and it didn’t bother us. We were able to walk our dogs, rest over night, and hit the road early to beat Houston traffic. If you are a light sleeper that may not be the best option for you. Otherwise, great overnight rest stop.

This is honestly the best rest stop I have been to. Clean, well lit and secure. There are tables inside with plugs. It's right off the highway so there is noise. Wasn't terrible though, almost like white noise. There is also the normal people slamming thier doors, this was worse. My own fault, I parked as close to the building as I could.

Tmobile service is spotty. Sometimes I get 1 bar of 5G, but mostly 1 4Glte

We pulled our trailer and followed the signs to the right for big rigs and RVs. It was behind the building and separated from the freeway. Not a lot of traffic noise and we got a good sleep. Not too full. The next morning we were able to use our generator to make coffee.

Clean, safe, small. Lots of night truck movement & highway noise. Nice areas to walk dogs.
