We stayed here on our way to Yellowstone so while you could do a day trip there we did not. Sites are pull off rather than pull through but we had enough room to park and we didn't feel we were on top of our neighbors. Great 360 mountain views (when the fire haze dissipated). Vault toilets left something to be desired, pretty stinky. Didn't use the pay showers. Potable water spigots throughout CG. Very cute library with a ton of books and movies for sharing. It was quiet while we were there. We opted for an electric rather than our original spot on the water. Very nice park staff at front gate. We drove through Lake Shore CG which is closer to Cody and actually preferred those sites. While you are closer to the road, the sites have beautiful lake views. We spent a day at Heart Mountain, a must see to learn more about the WWII Japanese relocation camp. It is also a beautiful hike up Heart Mountain.

We don't typically stay in private campgrounds but so many reviewers had good things to say and it was near where we wanted to be in the Berkshires that we gave it a try. Patricia and Gordon take great pride in their park and in customer service and it shows. They took great care to ensure campers felt conformable staying there despite COVID and they took plenty of precautions to help with social distancing. When we arrived we had been assigned a site and were on the drive up when we met Gordon in his golf cart and he said, no, let me move you to this site, it will be better. Boy was he right, we had our own little oasis in the woods. Very peaceful and dark in the evenings. The bathrooms were kept very clean. Yes, the roads are a bit rough in the campground but we just took our time and it was all good. Great location near Mt. Greylock for hiking and exploring the Berkshires. Also went to pick apples at a nearby orchard and had the best hot apple cider and cider donuts.

You definitely stay in the premium sites for the views, which are spectacular. Concrete pad with FHU. Spaces are close together but that’s the nature of private campgrounds. If you don’t have a site with a view they do have a nice sitting area overlooking the bluff.
Bathrooms are very old, hence 4 stars instead of 5. Some nice trails through the woods and very convenient to Weaverville, Asheville and BRP.
Narrow road up but it’s short and completely doable. there is a reason for no check-in prior to 2pm since it is certainly a one vehicle roadway.

I will say my husband and I enjoyed the beauty of the park and the great hiking trails. We hiked all the trails, went to the top of Stone Mountain and did enjoy the colder weather. As for the campground sites, not so much. I had read about the uneven sites so thought by choosing a pull through on a less busy loop that we’d do better but not so much.
I will say that the reservation staff and front desk staff were nice. So when we found our site (412) we were really dissatisfied that it was a pull off, not pull through, which would have our door literally opening on the road. I jumped on the phone to see if the site next door was open since the park was pretty deserted. Luckily we were able to change and the site was a bit better. At least we were a few feet off the road.
The campground roads are so horrible they will rattle your teeth just getting to your site. Bathrooms while old, were fairly clean and they did pick up your trash each day if needed.
It really filled up over the weekend with a ton of folks arriving Friday night, but our loop was still very quiet.
For the steep price I would expect better campsites and since we already hiked all the trails I doubt we would come back again. I think we’ll stick with state and national parks.

Loved this park and it worth the drive up to get there. Note that there is a tunnel with a 10’6” height restriction. But the spots were tight, really meant for RVs less than 25 feet. We had a pull off site that was barely big enough for the rig and truck. Nice camp host set up a flashing cone so nobody would hit us. But the views and nearby hiking made up for the site deficiencies. Gorgeous hike into the canyon and up to rim road. No dump at park. It there was a free dump station at Fruita Visitor Center.

Only stayed one night but such a pretty park. Camp host Connie met us at the entrance and escorted us to our site. Gave us all the park and local info. Most sites are huge and well maintained. We were level so didn’t need to unhitch. Very clean bathrooms. A couple short trails out of campground for a morning hike. Very peaceful, Definitely recommend if you need a stopover while traveling on I-10.

We have stayed in a ton of GA campgrounds but this one rates at the top. The hiking and sites on the West Rim campground can't be beat. The site was level and good space outside with a trail directly behind the site. Site was fairly wooded and private. Good Verizon coverage. Bathrooms were old but kept clean by the camp hosts; laundry onsite as well. Only downside for us was the weather; it was overcast and rainy most of the time but we still enjoyed our stay tremendously and will be back. Great bike trails nearby and a cool disc golf course. We stayed here Oct 23-28, 2020.

We stayed here for two nights on our way up north. Lovely clean campground. The 50amp plug at our site had an open ground but we were able to use the 30amp. Bathrooms were clean, didn’t use shower. Despite being pretty busy with tons of golf carts the park was very peaceful. Our site was on the outer loop which I recommended as most back up to trees for a bit more privacy. My BUT comes from the fact that there is no connecting pathway from the loops to the bathrooms (which are all in the center). Others have commented on this as well.
The Legacy Trail connects you directly to downtown Lexington, we rode our bikes in and it was fabulous. What an incredible resource. Unfortunately the Kentucky Horse Park museum is closed on Monday and Tuesday so we weren’t able to visit. We did explore the grounds which were lovely.
Super convenient to I75, will definitely stay again.

As another reviewer stated, we don’t stay in RV parks but we came to see our kids for the holiday weekend and the state park was full. Sites were literally on top of each other with lots of full timers and almost no space between sites. Hookups were odd with power on one side and water on the other. Bathrooms were OK but didn’t use showers. Didn’t see a lot of COVID cleaning happening. If you are somebody who needs free WIFI, cable and a pool you may see those amenities as worth the price but since we didn’t use them I couldn’t justify the $40 per night. I will say the front office staff were very nice but unfortunately that’s not enough for a return visit.

Table Rock is a spectacular park for hiking, that is why we came here. The pipeline hack happened while we were here so we didn't go explore outside of the park..
PROS: Beautiful hiking trails right from the park; several levels to choose from but both Pinnacle Trail and Table Rock trail have more challenging sections. The views make it all worth the effort and we had epic views for our lunch breaks. Park was kept very clean; boat and kayak rentals at beach/lake area; free washer and dryer; we actually had ATT & Verizon coverage in the White Oak loop when we put our router outside; gorgeous scenery; very quiet & peaceful campground; bathrooms kept very clean.
CONS: No connector trails from the campground to the main trails so we had to drive down each time we hiked. We prefer to walk in the parks but the only way to do that here was to walk on the twisty two lane road which isn't very safe. Sites aren't super level - we did OK with ours but didn't have much room for error. While free (and nice new big units) the W/D are located in an open shed at the entrance to the lower campground. It would be nice to have a set at the upper campground as well. I'd pay for the convenience factor alone.
The pros outweighed the cons for sure and we really enjoyed our stay here. Only reason for not coming back to camp is to visit other parks we haven't gone to yet.
