We chose this campground as we wanted something close to The Biltmore Mansion, which is about 20-30 minutes away, but we also enjoy being close to nature. This was the perfect spot for us. It is a small campground with limited amenities (such as a pool or rec area that we do not care about) but it is so close to many things to do! Our site was concrete with full hook-ups right on the edge of the mountain and a beautiful view of the valley below. They offered fire rings and very nice picnic table area. The campground had a cute little spot set up with chairs and benches for enjoying the sunset over the valley. They also had yurts and lots of tent camping areas. The next morning we awoke to a flock of wild turkeys in our campsite! They had many trails that we did not have time to hike but the few we walked with our dogs were nice. We met friends here that used the shower house and they said they were OK. We were only able to stay here one night due to an emergency at home but we would definitely like to return. The very friendly managers said the premium sites do fill up quickly so plan to reserve ahead.
The drive up from the main road is a little tricky as it is steep and curvy but just keep going and an oasis meets you at the top!

This was one of our first stops in our 1966 Globetrotter so we were already pretty excited but as we pulled in we were overwhelmed with it's beauty! You overlook the Blue Ridge Mountains which are lovely.
We arrived late in the evening so our name was on a clipboard and we just found our spot. It was simple enough. The host was super friendly when we met him the next day.
You're close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, downtown Asheville, and a ton of great hiking trails.
It is on the top of our list of favorite spots!
The grounds were clean and the facilities were well maintained.
I do remember using the campground wifi to do some work and it worked just fine. We didn't have any other internet with us at the time since this was just a vacation. :)

We saw this campground featured on campendium's instagram account and booked in back in January for Memorial Day weekend. We wanted a premium site for the views and when making our reservation they recommended P-8 because we have small children. Our site had a concrete pad, power, water, and sewer connections as well as a lantern on the power connection pole and entry to drive and a dedicated secure trashcan. The site is adjacent to the overlook with several chairs and benches and across from the bathhouse. The staff were friendly and campground quiet despite being mostly full. The restrooms are in need of an overhaul but were mostly clean. The campground also has 5+ miles of hiking trails and a catch and release pond. Free wi-fi worked well. Close proximity to downtown Asheville. We will definitely be back for the views are unmatched. Would love to see the bathhouse updated.

We stayed in Premium Site #2.
The campground is quiet and the staff was friendly and helpful in planning our local excursions.
The location is convenient to Biltmore, downtown Asheville, and the Blue Ridge Parkway.
We loved the hiking trails and so did our dogs.
You cannot beat the views from the premium sites. Fabulous!
We cannot wait to go back!

The drive up the mountain is a great experience if you have never towed a trailer up a mountain road. But it's all good. Worth ten x ten that experience to see that view once your there. Campground staff are wonderful folks. Jason will take care of anything you need. And the staff in the campground office can help you with everything else. Go. Just book the time and go there. HEAVEN ON EARTH.

It's no lie folks! This place truly deserves all 5 stars, plus more. We stayed here for the week after Thanksgiving after spending a week in one of their cabins w/friends. The whole campground is small, which I prefer, as it was easier to relax into the peace and quiet of this mountaintop retreat without all the people sound pollution. There are hiking trails right behind the yurt sites that are nice for an afternoon stroll with the pup. The management were very friendly and ready to help. Wifi was nice and strong. OH! And you are less than 15 minutes from downtown Asheville. I mean come on! You can't get better than that - it's literally the best of both worlds!
Getting up the mountain can be impossible if more than 1 rig attempts it at the same time, so they recommend calling right before you get there so they stop traffic. Smarter than trying to reverse down that hill...
The only regret I have is not making a reservation sooner and snagging one of the deluxe sites (deluxe have valley views, premium do not) as every sunset was pure magic. They do have a seating area where unlucky premium site peeps can gather to watch it. We were frequent fliers there for sure.
We will be back and looking forward to it!

After a steep climb on a narrow mtn road, you arrive at this gorgeous campground. There are a number of Premium RV sites with beautiful valley views ($70/night), Deluxe RV sites ($50/night) with full hookup and woods views, tent sites and yurts too. There are some great little trails to explore and a friendly camp cat to pet. We found our site a little tricky to back into bc the road abruptly drops off on the opposite side. There is a bathhouse with all individual shower/toilet stalls and a laundry room. The showers were in good (not great) condition. We had some rain that produced a beautiful rainbow in the valley as the sun began to come out. We really enjoyed our stay here. It was convenient for visiting downtown Asheville.

We spent 14 days in early December 2017. This was our first campground after becoming full-timers and couldn't be happier with our choice. We splurged for our first experience and paid $37.50. for a full hookup deluxe site. This is a pretty small private campground with @ 17 sites, but it was full of nice amenities such as private bathroom/shower rooms, laundry, propane, firewood, great hiking trails and unmatched views. The park is also pet-friendly. The staff was extremely helpful and routinely check in with us to see if we needed anything to make our stay more enjoyable. The campground is located on the top of a mountain so the road to the top is narrow, fairly steep and bumpy. We had no problem with our rig and saw larger Class A motorhomes get in and out without a problem, just be aware and take it slow. If your budget allows there are premium sites that are concrete pads, full hook up sites with unobstructed views of the valley and French Broad River below. You are literally parked on the edge of the mountain! And did I mention the turkeys? Every day there was a rafter(google it, it's a thing/I had to) of turkey that meandered through the park. Downtown Asheville is @15 minutes away and the smaller town of Weaverville was closer for groceries and necessities. When you're in the area check out the Sierra Nevada Brewery in Fletcher(great food to go along with their selection of beer), @ 5 minutes away from campfire lodgings we ate at the Blue Mountain Pizza, which had great pizza and local beer, Asheville pinball museum was great and of course the Biltmore Estate. Oh...and they had great wifi.

We've been wanting to stay here for awhile. I'm so glad we finally made it. Great location. Close to the Biltmore and downtown Asheville. It was nice to have hiking trails right off the campground. The views were amazing, as were the sunsets! I liked that it only has 17 spots for RVs, so it's a really quiet setting. Bathrooms and showers were spotless. Each site has it's own trash container, that was emptied frequently. No need to lug garbage to a dumpster. We will definitely go back. I'm sure it's quite spectacular in the fall.
