Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on May 04, 2022Campground is about 1/2 mile off paved road. Gravel road is solid but narrow in spots. It's a gated park so you must be buzzed in. I got the impression that it's being operated by new owners. Was a lot of activity around the office like installing a new sign.
Camp sites are up the hill from the office and locating our site was easy. Our site # 37 was a little muddy but fairly level. Nobody was in 38 or 38A which would have been pretty close for my liking. WiFi was available free at the rec hall near office. Site WiFi was high speed @ $5 per day for 2 devices. Sky Web Networks was the provider.
Was able to get 3 free over the air TV stations.
Bathhouse was a short walk and was clean and bright. Not sure but it looked like they may be undergoing an upgrade. 2 pay showers each side. Each stall had a bench and plenty of hooks.
Arrived Saturday about noon and heard a lot of what sounded like gunfire from a nearby gun range. It lasted for about an hour then all was quiet. Camp was quiet after dark.
There is a small camp store in the office and a rec center

We stayed here from July 23-October 22, 2018 while my husband completed a medical rotation in the nearby town of Pittsfield. We had the last RV site on the backside of the property with tent camping spots to one side and an RV spot to another. We LOVED how peaceful and remote this property is with also being just 15 minutes from Pittsfield.
The property is under new ownership, and the new owners, Patricia and Gordon, are so kind. We talked to them a lot about the upgrades that are coming to the park, and I think it will be incredible once they are through with it.
Getting to this park is a bit nerve-wracking. Scott Road is narrow and in pretty bad shape (as of Fall 2018) so take your time and don't be nervous. We thought we were in the wrong place, but we
The sites are all different sizes, so it's important to be clear and realistic about the size of your rig. I would try to get a spot farther back in the campground so there's less traffic, especially if you have kids like we do. Some of the spots look VERY hard to back-into, so make sure you know what you're capable of. ;)
Our spot was nestled in the trees and backed up to woods; there was even a stream down below! My kids had plenty of space to play and roam, and since it's gated, felt fairly safe. Although this is a privately owned campground, it feels like a state park.
The bathrooms and laundry are so-so; I've definitely seen better. But I know that they are in the process of updating it all, so I would check back in with them if that sort of thing is a deal-breaker for you.
We got a monthly rate of $695 (hence the nightly rate I calculated being much lower than their normal rate) and this included a weekly pump-out of our black-water. It was so nice to not have to worry about this the whole time we stayed there! We paid $75/mo through their local internet provider to have reliable internet, and while I wasn't crazy about spending that much, I needed it for work.
There's a great playground for kids, a pool, a pond, and a rec hall with games and a fireplace. They regularly put on events and the Halloween trick or treat was so good! My kids LOVED staying here, and that ranks pretty high in my book, if my kids are happy.
The campground also backs up to Mt. Greylock, and we loved driving up it for amazing scenic vistas and hiking. There's also a great visitor center that we enjoyed exploring. The surrounding Berkshires are just gorgeous and there is so much to do in this area. Pittsfield has a great museum (Berkshire Museum), library, and plenty of lakes for dropping in a kayak.
I highly recommend this park, and if you go, say hi to Patricia and Gordon for us!

Very nice campground within 10 minutes of the Mt. Graylock State Park Visitor's center and about 15 minutes from the Ashuwillticook Rail-Trail. Both great attractions. Out site (32) was very spacious and wooded with electric and water. The campground is located in a hilly area and while this site was level, I think others may not. Nothing a few leveling blocks can take care of. I had no problem getting in there with my 22 ft. travel trailer. There were plenty of bigger rigs there too. The staff were friendly and helpful. The campground it self was clean and well maintained. The bath/shower facilities were clean and had plenty of hot water. Showers had plenty of room and hooks for a change of clothes. They do need a little work as far as updating goes but still very functional. This is why I rated 4 instead of 5 stars. WiFi is a available but at additional cost. We elected to un-plug. Verizon cell phone service had a good signal. We will return in the future.

Cute park very much like a state park in feel and setting. Beware though the road to RV sites is up a hill and tight! We have a 28’ TT and it was a squeeze to back into our site. Pulling out we got lucky because our neighbors across the road left before us and we pulled into their site to turn around. Pond is nothing special. Dump station muddy and needs widening. Ok for a quick weekend stay if you’re visiting Mt. Greylock. And road to get to the campground is dirt.

Had a really great night at Mt. Greylock with our two kids and two dogs. Site was spacious and neighbors lovely. Super quiet and at night feels like State Park in the woods.

The park is a quaint little place that reminds me of an older state park. No full hookups, sites are decently sized for the most part. The roads within the park are very narrow and washed out in places. The 30 amp electric had high voltage and my surge protector wouldn't let it through, I used the 50 amp instead and it was fine. The sites are all dirt and it rained all day and it turned to all mud. Some sites were underwater. The staff was extremely friendly and check-in was quick and easy (lucky, since it was pouring rain). It was very quiet but it was off-season and during the week.
My Garmin put me about 1/2 mile away from the entrance. Look for the little blue "Mt. Greylock" signs to guide you down the dirt road to the camp entrance.

We don't typically stay in private campgrounds but so many reviewers had good things to say and it was near where we wanted to be in the Berkshires that we gave it a try. Patricia and Gordon take great pride in their park and in customer service and it shows. They took great care to ensure campers felt conformable staying there despite COVID and they took plenty of precautions to help with social distancing. When we arrived we had been assigned a site and were on the drive up when we met Gordon in his golf cart and he said, no, let me move you to this site, it will be better. Boy was he right, we had our own little oasis in the woods. Very peaceful and dark in the evenings. The bathrooms were kept very clean. Yes, the roads are a bit rough in the campground but we just took our time and it was all good. Great location near Mt. Greylock for hiking and exploring the Berkshires. Also went to pick apples at a nearby orchard and had the best hot apple cider and cider donuts.

Owners were wonderful and helpful.
Site had large boulders on either side and we needed to use our slider hitch to make the tight turn.
Weather was raw and rainy but we did enjoy walking through the park with our pups. There were quite a few seasonal sites.
As it was mid-October they were the only option in the area that was one.
We did see a black squirrel.
Access in is a narrow dirt road and spots were not wide enough for two vehicles.
Do not arrive early as there is only one road inside the campground and very narrow.
The grey water discharge did not work a day we were not able to use it.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of April. The park was 60% full according to the owner and it felt like it was nearly empty. The sites are wooded and well separated with plenty of room in each site. We were put in a group site but we were the only ones in it. The park is very close to Mount Greylock State Reservation where the hiking is excellent. The only complaint I have is that the firewood I bought was wet and wouldn't stay lit. I ended up returning half of it and they didn't charge me for any of it. The owners are very personable and helpful. We are already looking at staying again later in the season if we can get a spot.
