Beautiful RV park with quite a few trees though i wouldn’t call it forested. Completely paved roads and concrete pads. The water pressure is fairly high so be sure to use a regulator. Very nice and helpful staff. They have a small store with some basic supplies including ice and a propane refill station. Heated pool and jacuzzi. They seem fairly new as everything is in excellent condition. There is a train that passes nearby and I-35 is very close so there are some noises but i wasn’t bothered by them. I would definitely recommend staying here.
A very nice campsite with RV sites and cabins . Picturesque views of bluffs along the river. Close to Leakey, Concan and Uvalde. There are tons of deer, Axis deer and wild turkeys. I counted over 40 turkeys this morning. RV sites are nestled in among Pecan trees and the little store sells their pecans. The sites on the right as you enter can be pull throughs accessible from an unimproved dirt road behind them. Drive down length of RV section and turn right through the RV only signs. You can’t see the road at night. All the RV sites on the left as you enter are back ins. They have a pool and access to the river.
Relatively new campsite. Very friendly and helpful proprietors. Nice concrete pads though the middle pull throughs are a bit short. My 35 foot 5th wheel filled the entire site and almost hung out. I had to park on an adjoining site. Not sure if there were longer sites so be sure to ask if you have a long rig. Short drive to Jack Daniel’s distillery for a tour! Thats why we picked it! Nice views of a lake from one end!
Beautiful campsite with lots of sites for RVs. Very well kept. Boat ramp is available. Hot Springs is a short drive away. Only minor complaint i have is their driving directions warning you to not trust your gps leaves out a step and you may miss it. At the corner of carpenter dam rd and shady grove road you need to turn downhill (SE) onto Shady Grove and then go a mile further to see their sign. If you come in on Carpenter Dam rd like we did you would think you should go straight and thats not correct. The directions they give below that with turn by turn directions are correct.
Oh my goodness what can i say except this place rocks! Nice resort hotel, plenty of activities for the kids and family. Extremely nice rv park. Easy access to the Pigeon Forge strip and incredible views!
Very nice campsite on a lake! Boats and kayaks for rent. Sites are a bit short but I squeezed my 35 foot rv and Ram in. Camping among the pines is a pleasure!
Beautiful park nearly surrounded by water (on a peninsula). Nice sites but not roomy. Boats and other stuff for rent. Definitely worth the money.
Small but nice campground near Crater of Diamonds State Park. Located in a cute little town. Wish i could have stayed longer to enjoy the area. Only downside is its right along the road to the state park so there is some road noise but while we were there the traffic was minimal.
Very nice campground in a nice little town. It seems relatively new. Very modern. Has a nice pool. Bonus is the craft beer joint at the entrance. Friendly helpful staff.
Beautiful park especially in the fall! Just don’t try to put a long RV on 145! Two hard narrow turns to get in unless you just ignore the one way signs and pull in! Some sites are fairly close but not all. Fairly narrow roads but my 5th wheel had no problems though i had to pay close attention.
