Confirmed by 5 users | Last reported on October 10, 2022This park is only six months old. It is new, clean and they are still adding amenities. The location is beautiful. It is on a peninsula that projects into Percy Priest Lake. It is 15 minutes from downtown Nashville without traffic and 30 minutes from downtown with traffic. This park is quiet and the setting is lovely. Considering the other park options around Nashville, we felt this was the best option in the area. Even so, the sites are close together, not unbearable, but close. Some of the sites on the tip of the peninsula have a lot more space between sites. There is a playground, pool, fishing dock and laundry facility. Propane is coming soon. As this is a new park, they are still getting their bearings. It can be hard to reach staff in the office or via phone. They do not regulate the laundry room yet, so campers are washing their dog beds in the washers. This is a gated park and it is back from the street, so it is pretty quiet, except for occasional music from the marina across the water. This is a fantastic place to bring your kayak and there is a boat dock. The interior road is narrow on the peninsula loop. We had no trouble making the turn in a 38 foot fifth wheel, and there were 40+ foot motorhomes that did it as well...but fyi, there is that one tight turn. They also sell wood here. Each site is fitted with a concrete pad, picnic table and fire pit. All sites have full hookups. If you can be on the water, do it! We were not able to get a waterfront site, but would do it in a heartbeat if there was availability. The views are lovely. The only negative we had was that they have many longterm dwellers there, but they are now restricting stays to no longer than 4 weeks. I believe they were trying to fill the spots when they first opened. Normally, long term dwellers do not bother me in a nice park...but none of them here were friendly....they were all sort of cranky with an odd camping vibe. It was truly strange. The park was full every night we were there and recreational campers starting filling the campground and the "feel" of the park greatly improved. This is a fantastic option for camping in this area if you don't mind being close to your neighbors....just make sure you allocate time to enjoy the lake.

This is on the expensive side for us, well until we got to Florida where everything out side of the state parks was 100$ or more. Nice, clean, friendly, quiet, we stayed on the cliff over looking the lake. Beautiful sight, watched the sun rise over the lake every morning. Super close to Nashville.

Campground options near Nashville are slim pickings... We were in town for a family graduation and during the time, Safe Harbor was the only place with availability.
While the facilities and amenities at this resort were very well kept and nice, the sites are so, so narrow and you're sardined in with absolutely no privacy. It took many tries to back in our 30' trailer and we held up a line of cars who were waiting to pass...
The pads are concrete with fire rings and picnic tables. They also have a day use patio area and a pool.
Free wifi is also available, but we kept having issues with the password getting changed and/or just not being able to connect to it...
Overall, for the price, we wouldn't stay here again.

We stayed here in September 2018. The campground was extremely clean and quiet. The views were stunning. It was just so peaceful to sit watching the boats out on tge lake. The staff was excellent as well as the live music on Saturday night. Highly recommend & would definitely stay here again!

We moved over here after staying at a nearby park for one night. The spots with views of the lake are wonderful. From Google maps I thought we would be right along the beach but you are at the top of bluff looking over the water. When we were there it was moderately windy almost all the time keeping things cool. The park is immaculately maintained so between the setting and the proximity to Nashville (with shuttles for $20 round trip) this park can command a premium price. We will definitely return whenever we come to Nashville.

This place just isn’t our style. We met some friends here- and it’s more their style.
The site was a concrete pad, but we still had to use leveling blocks. It was tricky to navigate in because everyone was jam-packed in there. The fire rings weren’t really usable because they’re so close to the rig or vehicle. Restrooms were clean. Staff was friendly. We could access the water to go supping, but we had to navigate shore rocks to do it.
After the sun went down, it was nice to hang out in the breeze!

Resort is clean and well-cared for...friendly staff with delivery to site for ice and wood, but not our thing. Sites are lined up like a parking lot with mostly concrete and asphalt. No trees on sites so not a bit of shade. One plus... easy access to beach to put in kayak for paddling the huge and beautiful lake. There is a boat launch so I guess the appeal is for those looking for motor boat sports.

We had vehicle trouble on the road and we were thrilled to get their last site over the weekend. This is a very new campground with lake views on both sides! They have a lovely salt water pool that we enjoyed. A lot of rain while we were here so really appreciated the concrete pads and rock/grass areas-no mud! It was very hot and no trees on the campsites so our air ran a lot. Small store onsite with ice, firewood and treats. Close to a Food Lion (3 stoplights). They offer shuttle service to downtown Nashville that would be a great way to/from. Staff gracious and helpful. I am guessing the $$$ rate is because of our location to all that is Nashville. Food truck and band Saturday night which we enjoyed. Sites are close together but seems less so at the sites farthest from office.

I was actually surprised to read a few average reviews on this place. It’s true that there is a lot of concrete and it’s a little exposed in certain areas, but this place is like a resort! The welcome center feels like you’re checking into a fancy hotel. They offer site delivery for various wants and needs and have morning trash pick up every day. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We used the fire pit every night. The concrete pad was level. The views were amazing and the sunsets were awesome. The big pool was the nicest we’ve seen on our trips. We will definitely be back here again.

Modern RV ‘resort’ with little privacy but great water access, beautiful sunrises and private and super clean restrooms and laundry.
We visited on the cusp of winter so the weather was iffy and it was quiet but I bet this place is excellent in the summer with great access to the lake and a swimming pool.
Great WiFi. We didn’t use our hot spot the entire time 🙌
It’s a bit of a drive into the city.
And the biggest con was that our site wasn’t clean when we arrived and had all kinds of landscaping materials in our ‘yard’. We ignored it and just stared at the lake.
