We're staying here a few days before heading further south. It's a shady spot and fairly quiet. This particular site (it does not have a number, but it does have a camping sign) is fairly large and could accommodate two big rigs. I did pick up a fair amount of litter left behind by previous visitors. The nearest town, Clinton, in a few miles down the road.

Initially this was hard to find because you can't see the site from the road. My husband backed in our 34 ft. trailer. It was a bit of a challenge, but he managed. There's probably enough room here for two smaller campers. In the seven days we were here, there was at least one other camper per night (van, bike, car). It is pretty here, and the pond is larger than expected. There is a trail, which was a bit overgrown, but our dogs appreciated the exercise. There's also a pavilion with four picnic tables and a fire pit. Lots of fishermen have been coming and catching bass and catfish. There is a boat launch too. This site requires miles of gravel roads.

We drove in without a reservation because our boondocking site wasn't going to work. The owner Terri put us in a FHU drive-thru in a partially shaded area. The dog park was literally 30 seconds from our site. Very laid back staff. Lots of amenities. I didn't want to leave! The only complaint I have is that there are people who didn't pick up after their dogs in the dog park and along the roads. Super views and endless possibilities here. Seriously.

Looks like this was a former KOA. We came here after our original campground did not have water turned on yet. We got a FHU pull-through but had to do some leveling. The interstate road noise and view were always there. It's a great park for a short stay. Husband had a hard time getting hot water during his shower. One of my pet peeves is when dog owners don't pick up poop. I saw a few piles on walks with our dogs. The owners were nice, and the grounds were fairly well kept. The park serves its purpose for short stays.

I made our reservations online, but when we arrived, we didn't think we could maneuver between two trees and back into the site. We changed sites with management approval. We had to level our site which was electric only. The nearest water spigot was about 25 feet away, so that's how we filled our tanks. For being in a national park/recreation area, I thought $28/night was a little steep for electric only. The campground seems a bit run down. Roads are rough; trees need trimming. We stayed 4 nights, and it was pretty quiet. Lots and lots of golf carts. I didn't use the bathrooms, but they did look clean. We had a lakeside spot, and it was very pretty views.

We stayed two nights in site 104 and then moved to site 55 to have better internet service for remote working. I felt bad for the ranger/park host. He has a lot on his plate with no help. It's a sizable park, and it seems Mississippi would rather throw money at things other than campgrounds. This is the second state park in MS we stayed that had run-down, old bathrooms (the other being Nachez). The women's bathroom had a collection of bugs, no hand soap, paper towels or toilet paper. Both water connections leaked and formed wet, soggy areas outside the camper. You do need long hoses and cords. There are limited garbage receptacles. The dump station had a cut water hose both times we used it (used our own hose). Lots of garbage on the ground. The park could be so nice if it got more TLC. People who stay at the park usually do so for the incredible fishing, not the squalid conditions of the park.

This is a county-run campground on Bear Creek. The roads leading to the campground are narrow, but that's not the campground's fault. We had a great view from our site and took our dogs on a few walks. We had FHU with a senior discount ($18). Mr. Curtis, the park manager, is very helpful. There are laundry facilities and a bath house onsite. There is a boat launch and a fishing pier. Sunsets were spectacular!

I booked for a week here as we head north. I thought there would be a frost-free water source, being that this campground is open year round. My fault for not double checking. We have electricity at least. I'm not sure if the hose at the dump station works yet. It is pretty here. Big boating area. There are things to see within 15 minutes of the campground.

We drove around the loop three times trying to find our site. Better signage would be helpful. The park itself is gorgeous. Lots of woods and on Lake Natchez. I did not use the bathrooms, but hubby said the men's handicapped shower head was broken, leaving just one stall for the tent and trailer campers. The washer and dryer were also out of order. We didn't have any issues with our hook ups (electric/water), and our site was a pull-through.

We stayed Monday through Wednesday at site 158. Bathrooms were clean and neat. Sites were spacious and easy enough to back into. The grounds were well kept, including a paved trail. Watch out for deer ticks, as my husband and I both pulled one off ourselves after a hike.
