Well managed, popular for vacation families, fishermen and hunters depending upon the season.
LBL is a real gem to visit. Quiet, winding parkway full of history. Lakes are on both sides and navigable. There is some commercial traffic and of course hundred/thousands of fishermen. Kids and adults love to fish from the shore too. There is plenty of lake access in the C/G.

The COE did a great job on this campground in the enormous Land Between the Lakes Recreation Area. We stayed in the Dogwood Loop in Mid-March and it was almost empty. Mostly level gravel pads with 30A electric. Many sites are right on the water with good fishing from the shore. Easy back-in parking for any size RV, trailer, etc. Water, restrooms, showers available, but did not use. 2-3 bar LTE (Verizon).

Overall good, we stayed in fruitgum loop E361 which’s only camp open with park attendants for the whole LBL during winter season. This site offers common potable hydrant and sewer. Park personnel is so nice, campfire are allowed and 20,30,50amp electric on each site bathhouse is very good with hot water this time of 12/27/2019. Campers are all respectful and good lot of wildlife around the forest like Bison,Elk, coyote and bald eagle my family enjoyed for the entire stayed don’t forget to bring your own cellphone signal booster mines T-Mobile are zero bar. Enjoy, thanks “ my YouTube, Boondocks Lifestyle “

We stay at site # 360 with our 29 ft camper. The roads into the campground are well marked and good paved roads . Our site has plenty of room. There is a playground real close to this site . Our site was level . We had a good view of the lake from our campsite , but in the summer this view might not be good if you are looking to see the lake. There are several large tree around this campsite.

Large campground (almost 400 sites) was well run, with some amenities (playgrounds, store, bathrooms, etc). AT&T cell service was spotty, zero to 2 bars. Campground is 15 miles from the nearest small town (Dover, TN) so get your groceries and gas before you get here. Lots of good hikes in the area. We did the Ft. Henry trail (5 miles) and only saw one other person. Sites are close to level and power (30A) was consistent. Dump station was accessible and clean with fresh water (but low pressure) nearby. Lots of variety to sites, some near the lake, some in the woods. Not too many people, but we were there early in the season.

styed 2 nights during the week, the park was quite and relaxing to and enjoy the view of the lake and the camp fire. the camp store had lots of stuff if you forgot something... town was over an hr away. to me this is the nicest campground in the LBTL. the site was level clean and well maintained. its a large well laid out campground. its worth the drive all the way to the south end of the park to stay here

We stayed here for a week in November. The park is definitely in need of an overhaul. Showers are rusted out and shelves are broken, toilets were clean but the bathrooms were just, well, tired. Laundry is available, but OUTSIDE. They also took away the washing machines during our stay- one day they were there, and the next they were gone. No water hookups at the sites, you need to haul it from various spigots around the campground. Everything just looks run down. The trails on the property were overgrown, bridges were broken, and you can’t see the trail at all in some places. I also was surprised to see long term residents in the campgrounds- and their sites looked like a swap meet. Not very becoming for a park. Surrounding area is very nice, lots of hiking and biking trails, and a lot of history in the area. Really cool to see the elk and bison prairie.

I made our reservations online, but when we arrived, we didn't think we could maneuver between two trees and back into the site. We changed sites with management approval. We had to level our site which was electric only. The nearest water spigot was about 25 feet away, so that's how we filled our tanks. For being in a national park/recreation area, I thought $28/night was a little steep for electric only. The campground seems a bit run down. Roads are rough; trees need trimming. We stayed 4 nights, and it was pretty quiet. Lots and lots of golf carts. I didn't use the bathrooms, but they did look clean. We had a lakeside spot, and it was very pretty views.

Stayed at two different sites during our stay both great locations with easy access for our 40ft 5th wheel. Persimmon 229 and Dogwood 26. Both were full hookup with Dogwood 26 being the best of the two. Water was calm and park is well kept
