As previous reviewers mentioned this lot did fill up quick when we stayed for a night here in mid September.

We arrived around 5 pm and parked on the east side of the building near the garden center, which was a great spot fort the night. It's back far enough to be out of the normal traffic loop for customers coming and going to the store. By 8 pm there were 14 other rigs parking here for the night as well.

We felt blessed to find this spot and thank Big Mike and his family for opening their pasture to travelers. We were returning to Florida from North Carolina after a week full of family activities and needed a quite place to recharge our batteries and get back on budget.

Easy to get too off main road, plenty of space in pasture to spread out, and great company for your morning coffee.

We stayed here for just two nights and wished we would have had more time to stay longer.

Our spot was off FR 923 which is your first left off Turkey Springs Road. The road in was washboard most the way but slow and steady did the trick.

We found a spot a couple miles down 923 and dodged a couple ruts in the road but no damage to our clearance challenged airstream. Most of the spots seemed to be taken by people that had been there awhile so we continued on down the road and found quite a few open ones just past another cattle guard.

Very quiet area that had enough trees for shade but still enough clearing that our solar worked great.

We based from here to explore the springs in Pagosa and relax after some long road days.

Not too far off the interstate and an easy drive through the canyon. No issues with road conditions getting to this spot.

We got there around 2 pm and only one other camper was there at that time. We were able to go past the third picnic pavilion and turn our 28 foot bumper pull around with no issues. We actually used the space between the picnic area and the curb as a pull through camping spot so we took up less parking space and had the views of the canyon out our windows.

Crazy winds the night we were there but the view of the sunset was worth it.

We spent a weekend here in April to go paddleboarding on Lake Pleasant, which did not disappoint.

This State Trust land has plenty of space for everyone, and a very Quartzsite ish feel to it. Lots of roads leading through different camping areas.

Not many trees or much for shade so we didn't want to stay more than the 3 days this time of year, it was already in mid 90's. Lake Pleasant is nearby and is a great way to beat the heat but it was very busy on the weekend. Much less so on a Monday.

There is a small airport nearby so lots of small plane training flights going on for noise but nothing crazy.

Verizon signal was 5 bars of 5G UW so didn't even need to get our the Starlink here!

Great boondocking spot with amazing views of mountains, cacti, and lots of blooming ground cover that sure helped with all the dust and dirt.

The road in was a bit wash boarded in spots but there were plenty of camping options available depending on how far back you wanted to go.

We just did one night on our way through and while it was a bit far from the highway for an overnight the sunset, and quietness of the night made it worthwhile.

Be sure to adhere to the caution on the weight limited bridge and double check your map to make sure you come in on El Tiro.

There is a $21 fee for a yearly Arizona State Land and Trust Pass but it was definitely worth it for this spot. We stayed for the maximum of 14 days using this as base camp for our adventures into the Superstition Mountains, and the towns of Apache Junction and Mesa.

Plenty of places to spread out, but comforting to have others close enough to keep an eye on stuff while you are out playing.

Amazing sunrises and sunsets! The further in you go the less highway noise you will get, but since it is conveniently right of Hwy 79 (Tuscson to Phoenix area) it's part of the deal but it did not disturb us much.

Unless you want to take the long way in and spend a lot more time driving the dirt roads, don't enter at the OHV staging area entrance. There is another entrance closer to the Hwy 79 and Hwy 60 Junction (1.3 miles south of it) that does not show up as an option on Google or Apple Maps because it is gated. However, you can open it and close it behind you and then you will have plenty of camping options all around you within minutes of driving. This entrance cuts off about 45 minutes based on the mapping timelines.

Solid cell service. Water, Propane, Gas at the Circle K about 8 miles away on Hwy 60. Plenty of shopping for resupplies in Apache Junction.

We stayed here for 4 nights in late January and early Feb 2023. Great spot to base out of to explore other areas.

There were enough people around to feel safe yet not so many you felt crowded. We camped on the third "step" from the top with our 28 foot Airstream and had no trouble getting it up or down from there.

We do recommend getting out and scouting the route up if you are going to do it, because there were several paths that led up to the spot we wanted but only one was doable for our low clearance.

Be careful coming in off the highway, the drop off from the pavement to the dirt is substantial and probably the roughest part of the track back to the camping areas.

Had traffic noise from Hwy 95 during the day but it settled down nicely at night and the stars, full moon were amazing to view!

We spent 5 nights here in mid April 2023. The roads in were well maintained, with bit of rocky patch around the bend and down in the valley where most the camping in.

We got there on a Tuesday around 1 pm and the place was packed, which surprised us. Then by Friday and Saturday it was wide open, hard to predict boondocking! There are places you can turn around if you don't find a spot you like so I would definitely recommend continuing past the first few spot which sit right on the road and go down to the open prairie area.

Great hiking nearby which was why we chose this spot. We felt very safe and had a Ranger come through one day checking on camping limits. Spots were very clean, and there did not seem to be anyone abusing the 14 day limit.

It was windy every day we were there, and you're gonna get dusty out here especially if the utv's are coming through on the main road.

We stayed at the last pull off on the left as you are heading in, just before the gate "with the keep closed sign".
Not a bad spot if utv's aren't coming down the road from the other direction, if they are you'll get dusty.

We stayed here two night in Feb 2023, and it was by far our least favorite state trust land location.

The main road is complete and in good shape, however the drop off at the cattle guard coming into the property is a good one and bottomed out our hitch.

The spots the coordinates take you to, would suite several trailers our size (28 ft) if they were in good conditions but many of the established camping circles were very rutted and holding water. Additionally, this was full of trash, mainly beer cans in the fire circles, but staying there on a weekend we did not want to take the chance of the same folks coming back to party if it's their local site.

We took the main road all the way back to the solar fields looking for spots but it there were not many options for our trailer so we turned around there and ended up camping right across the road from the coordinates just above the main wash.

This is much more suited to vans, and those looking to ride the trails.

Definitely not for larger campers or trailers. Our spot barely fit us but would be awesome for a van or two!
