Deeper in, you'd need a small vehicle, but there were vans back off a ways. Quiet, peaceful and with great AT&T cell coverage. Be sure to download the free topop map from the FS web site. It shows all the pull off camp sites in the forest.
There are many other sites in the area.

Plenty of spots for just about any rig. Convinient to Sedona, Oak Creek, Stoneman Lake Road and many Verde Valley sites for exploring or just looking for fall colors. Scout ahead as a few of the side trails do not offer turn around space. Cell coverage is better on the western side, other spots are shadowed from the cell tower by a small hill.

Forest Road 689 is easy to find with GPS, we got there right before sunset and were glad we did being that there were no lights around and a dirt road. When you turn on forest road 689 there are 2 spots on the left that would be easy to our 29ft travel trailer, we ended up staying in the second spot as the first spot already had a camper. Per the other reviews it sounds like there are other sites down the dirt road about an hour but since we had a spot and it was dark we didn't explore more. Sites have a beautiful view, can't beat it!! Very secluded and pretty quiet, there were a few ATVs that came through but it didn't bother us. The site did have trash around but we picked it up and took it with us to throw out. Wish everyone would just pick up what they brought in, but for a free spot it was very nice and would definitely go back again!!

I am so glad I found this gem via this app - stayed for a little over a week and would have stayed longer had the weather not been so cold.
This super quiet and empty spot became my sacred little
healing space to rest.
There is NOTHING out there and that’s exactly what I needed. I got
To sunbathe, take outdoor showers, and watch the birds. Loved it.
In comparison with the BLM land outside of Sedona- this was pure gold. I have a big, old van that had no issues in the paths- just drive slow.

While there are two pullouts right at the beginning of this road, they will take more maneuvering than they are worth for big rigs. Head back the extra mile to the coordinates listed and there is plenty of space with much better views and no highway noise.
Room for a few rigs at the coordinates and room for a few more just past there on the left before you get to the closed gate. At the coordinates, you can turn right and then veer left on a fairly bad road (but with some beautiful sites) or right on a much better road to several decent sites. Either way, you might want to stop at the turn and walk down to make sure it is what you need.
If everything is really full, you can turn left at the gate and make a loop to turn around. I don't recommend taking a rig past the gate (road gets worse with limited turn arounds), though there is one sheltered spot about 1.5 miles past the gate that would be cool for a van or tent.
Road gets a bit muddy after a heavy rain. I did use my 4WD in the mud, though probably would have been fine without it.
Easy access to southern Sedona (Sedona traffic can make for a long drive to the north side) and easy to Flagstaff.

We stayed here for 3 days. Great spot, but it snowed most of the time we were there. We stayed in one of the two spots closer to the main road, before you go down the hill. 30 min drive to Sedona and easy access to the interstate. Loved it here, would definitely go back!

My family camped here over a weekend, as we attended a soccer tournament in Prescott.
Several really nice dispersed sites to choose from. Although there were quite a few other campers in the area, it was sublimely quiet and peaceful, day and night.
I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the campsites were...not a speck of trash at our site, before or after we left.

Easy in, great views, lots of room, close to Sedona with plenty of hikes around. We stayed at one of the pull offs on the road before the main camping area. Killer spot!
