This is an unusual place. It is a beautiful property on a beautiful lake. There really are no “sites”. It’s just, “park where you like near an electric hookup and we’ll run a water hose to ya”. We were visiting family for a graduation so we spent most of our time with them and not at the campground. Two of my grandsons came over and we had a blast fishing in a rental boat ($45 per day including trolling motor) on the lake. It’s not your typical RV park but it worked great for us and we enjoyed it. The guys who run the place were awesome.

We stayed here to attend the downtown Hillbilly Days celebration. This is a small park but immaculately maintained. It is on a street with lots of other city parks and rec facilities including: a dog park, pickle ball courts, tennis courts, sports fields, horseback riding stable, hiking/biking trails, and beautiful overlooks, all within walking distance.

There is a paved walking track inside the rv park around the adjoining soccer field.

It is very close to downtown and all the local shopping restaurants etc.

Sites are close together but are concrete, and perfectly level. Each site has its own picnic table, grill and trash receptacle.

Our Verizon phones had no service. Internet at the campground was not fast but was consistent. 2-3 mbps was fast enough to stream youtubetv.

We did our first overnight here on our way from GA to SD. We had an electric and water only site. We used the dump station on the way out. It couldn’t have been easier or better.

When we arrived our receipt and site assignment was on the office door. We drove the couple hundred feet to a pull through almost perfectly level site. Good water pressure, good electric, no internet but our Visible (Verizon) hot spot was good enough to stream movies.

As some reviews have mentioned, the back half of the campground is closely packed sites of long term stays. But the front half, for a quick overnight, and $22 with PA, is awesome.

Needed an overnight on our way to Myrtle Beach. Barnyard was at our half way point. I called to book and was told the only availability they had was in the overflow section, which did not have sewer. No biggy since it was a one night stay. When we arrived we were told they had a cancellation and we had been moved to a full hook up, pull thru-site. A nice, very accommodating surprise.

I was afraid based on the first couple hours that it would be noisy, but by 10 pm it was quiet. The lot was level enough that we didn’t unhook from the truck.

Beautiful grounds. Ponds with ducks, fishing, turtles birds and other wildlife, TEN MINUTES from downtown Savannah. Nice pool with shade. A very relaxing place to stay.

This was our first time at Pine Mountain and we will definitely go back. It is so conveniently located and in a quiet area. Pigeon Forge has a lot of traffic and it takes a while to get anywhere. We attended 3 shows while we were there and it took us less than 10 minutes to get to them. Less than 5 minutes the night we went to Dolly’s Stampede. The park was clean, neat and well run and well organized.

I cannot, for the life of me understand why great RV parks cannot provide half way decent internet. I’m an early riser and at 6 am I could get enough internet to check emails. After about 7 am, forget it.

Site is very narrow but nicely level. No picnic table, grill or fire ring. This was a very convenient location as we were here to visit friends. The highway and hotel noise were a bit annoying occasionally, but overall not that bad. We had a great stay here. WiFi was terrible.

Very nice, clean park. We camped in February so it wasn’t crowded at all. Our grandkids were able to run their remote control cars up and down in front of our campsites. We fished in the lake, biked all through the park, played in the creek, spent some time in the game room and enjoyed sitting around the camp fire. The site we had backed right up to the beautiful, rushing creek that runs through one side of the park.

First off we’re not campground snobs, but I am thankful for people who like to write about every little irritant and perceived inadequacy in great detail for two reasons. First, I know what I might expect and second, those reviews sometimes lower our expectations and allow us to be pleasantly surprised. This was the case here.

This campground does kinda seem like an afterthought to a great marina, but we loved it. Our son, daughter in law and 5 of our grand kids had the largest campsite we’ve ever seen and it was lakefront. We had a good site with a duck sitting on a nest full of eggs right by our rear bumper.

We rented a pontoon boat with a deck, a slide and a 200hp motor. We drove the 2-3 minutes from the dock to the campsite, loaded everyone up and had a hugely enjoyable time.

The dump station is small and awkward to get into, the front office people weren’t overly friendly, and our campsite had some trash we had to pick up but we really enjoyed our time here.

If you’re looking for top shelf camping, this ain’t it. If you wanna overlook some minor irritants and have fun, this may be a place for you.
