Quiet overnight stay in a pretty state park. Site 114 was spacious and had full hookups but I was disappointed that it was trashed. The campground was pretty empty and there was a host but we didn't see them. There is a swing set across from our site in the center of the loop. We didn't unhook, connect to internet or use the facilities. We did enjoy the stay and would return.

This is a very big and dusty campground with spacious sites, friendly staff and a big dog in the office. We stayed for a week in Oct 2022 on our way back to the east coast. They have a dog park, pool and small store in the office. We didn’t use any of the other amenities but they seemed nice and clean. It was a nice place and we would stay here again.

We stayed here for the 10 days that we attended the Balloon Fiesta in Oct of 2022 and it seemed to be a standard KOA but very expensive! Our site hadn’t been inspected or cleaned when we arrived since the whole space was covered in dog waste. The staff was super friendly and responsive though, cleaning it thoroughly 5 minutes after I contacted them. We left early and came in late each evening (that the balloon fiesta wasn’t called off for rain) so I didn’t explore much of the park or the amenities. I would return but not for this 10 days in October! Verizon Down: 14.13mbps Up: 2.90 mbps Streaming: 4.5mbps AT&T Down: 8.12mbps Up: 9.61mbps Streaming: 4.0mbps

If you are in town for the Balloon Fiesta, plan to go for the whole week. It took us 8 out of the 10 days to see a whole day because of weather. It is worth it to buy the tickets for the bus. We saved a little money and they loaded and unloaded the buses very quickly. If they cancel the event due to rain, you can use your entrance tickets as a rain check but you MUST purchase BUS ONLY tickets again.

HOW TO FIND THE BUS ONLY TICKETS: The link to buy the bus tickets only on their website is very difficult to find. Go to: https://balloonfiesta.ticketspice.com/tickets then click on the + next to Chaser’s Club tickets. This opens the options and you will find Park & Ride Bus Only tickets and the price.

We stayed one night on our way through town. There wasn’t an event happening and we had our pick of corrals. The whole place is gravel and the sites are mostly level. Wooden dividers separate the vast space into sites of two. The hookups are located at the back of the site and required an extension for the electrical and sewer hoses. The entrance to the “campgrounds” is located in the livestock entrance past the main gate. The caretaker is located at the back and there was a doorbell attached to the gate. They have a dog in the yard that barks but is friendly. It would be an ok place for an event or in a pinch but the tractors were busy running back and forth until 10:30pm and the dust was heavy, so we won’t be returning.

We enjoyed our stay because it is clean and close to the west entrance to Yellowstone. It does have a laundry but I still felt it was overpriced. There is decent spacing between the sites and well manicured grass. We had a serious issue with the electric that kept tripping every time our ac came on. They did address the problem immediately and found that the issue was with their pedestal. Once fixed, we had no other problems. There is a food truck on the other side of their gas station that sells decent crepes. Even though it is located right on the highway, the noise didn’t bother us.

mostly 55+ but we were not asked our age.  We stayed for 2 months and didn’t see any children.  Sites closest to the lake are reserved for Class A rigs only.  The staff is helpful and gave us 5 back in sites to choose from out of about 20 sites that were available.  All sites are full hook up.  Our site is in between two park models.  We would have chosen a different one if we had known that one neighbor planned a huge construction project the day after we arrived that lasted for 2 weeks.

The park is quiet at night but does have a lot of noise from the traffic on major roads that intersect close by.  There are quite a few corn hole tournaments that take place among the full time residents and they all seem to have golf carts.  There isn’t a bike path but the park is large enough to ride our bikes with the other golf carts.

There is a pool and laundry facilities but we didn’t use either because they were in use by so many.  There are a few scattered trees but we are in full sun and the field behind us is apparently the dog run for the park.  There are no picnic tables (unless you purchase one from one of the residents that make them) and no fires are allowed.  There are individual mail slots in the office for the residents and we were assigned one when we arrived.

The price we paid is about $40 lower per month because we stayed for 2 months.  It does not include the charge for electric which ran about $50 for the month (we used our ac a lot with the 86 degree temps in Feb!) Our water shut off for about 2 hours one Sunday because of road construction nearby but the office didn't answer or return the phone call I made since it was after 2pm when the office closed.  We only had one brief outage of electric when the entire park lost power due to an accident on the road nearby.

We would stay again if we had few other choices but it is not a destination place.

The town of Polk City is very small (there is an Ace Hardware nearby) but I had to drive into Auburndale to get groceries or take out food. The park is located close to a prison, an Amazon distribution center and an airplane museum called “Fantasy of Flight” (open on weekends only) but we felt safe.

This campground is in the center of town, close to grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations and parks but also a lot of traffic and the noise that goes with it. The back of the campground is the field to the High School. We were assigned site 22 which has a fence topped with barbed wire that separated us from the business next door. There are two things that set this campground apart from others; the super fast Strata internet and the full grown canopy of trees. We stayed a month and had no problems working and the trees made a huge difference keeping us cool in the high temperatures. The site was level but cramped (our picnic table sat under the windows of our neighbors). We shared a water spigot and the sewer connection was actually located underneath our TT. The campground stayed pretty full the entire month and it was difficult at times to leave/return because the dump station is on the side of the checkin building. Inside the checkin building is the laundry and restrooms/showers (all clean) and an artist studio. The campground owner was very welcoming and courteous. He showed us to the site, helped us back in and gave us the scoop of all the things to do in the area.

Plan a trip to the Dinosaur National Monument. (very cool dinosaur bones and petroglyphs) Also, take a day and drive the Flaming Gorge Scenic Byway including the Sheep Creek Geological Loop (Hwy 191) for gorgeous views! Brownings restaurant in Manila, UT serves a great hamburger!

This park has its definite pros and cons and they are the same. Pros: 1) Incredible, full grown shade trees. 2) It's literally in the middle of town and everything you can imagine is within a few miles of here. 3) Park manager/owner, Blake is knowledgeable and very kind. 4) This park is sandwiched between a convenience store and a tire shop and on the highway. Cons: 1) The shade trees make a huge difference in the heat but can do some damage in a wind storm when the branches break off. 2) Being in the middle of town, the traffic can get bad and it brings with it all the noise. There are some drivers that pretend they are at the Indy 500 and their trucks and motorcycles sound like you are in the pit. 3) Blake is very kind but his father isn't as patient. 4) Being between the tire shop and convenience store means a lot of noise even after dark. The store has a sweeper that comes through between 10pm - midnight several nights a week.

The sites are very close together and it can get very loud on the weekends between the campers and the highway noise. We stayed here for the months of June and July, waiting for our new RV to be finished in Arizona because it has such great shade. This is not a destination campground but it has FHU that work well, shade and everything you might need is close by. The price is the monthly price which includes $100 deposit for electric. We stayed on site 23.

Pure Bliss Day Spa gives excellent massages and the Khao Hom Thai Kitchen food truck on the same street had really great food! (N Vernal Ave.). Shane's doughnuts (across the street from the campground) has really good french toast doughnuts. (Call ahead and order them for the next day because they sell out quickly!)

We stayed here in October of 2022 because of the proximity to Big Bend NP but will return to see the gorgeous night skies! Friendly staff, spacious sites and access to resort facilities across the street make this place feel included even though it is definitely in a secluded area. We enjoyed the live entertainment and a meal at the bar and great ice cream at the parlor across the street. The real entertainment was each evening sitting under the stars. We could see constellations and the Milky Way in all its splendor. AT&T hot spot was horrible but the campground wifi more than made up for it! AT&T Down: 0.83mbps Up: 0.00mbps Streaming: 1.4mbps Campground wifi: Down: 130.97mbps Up: 147.20mbps Streaming: 100mbps

Be sure to stock up before you arrive! The resort has a few supplies but it is expensive.

Small, quaint, well maintained campground run by a truly caring couple who live at the campground. Sites are close together but fairly level. Propane refills and a small camp store with a free book and DVD exchange are available. Very clean and recently updated bathrooms. There is a small fish pond and they offer cane poles. Very close proximity to Mammoth Cave National Park and I-65 but very quiet. Passport America and Good Sam discounts make the stay very affordable. I stay at this campground every time I am in the area!
