This place was fantastic! It was amazingly clean and organized. Every single person on the staff we encountered was as pleasant as can be. We loved the two dog parks and the pool area. We will definitely be coming back here in the future. One thing to note, our Verizon signal was only 1 bar on 5G. I’m not sure if LTE would have better or not but the WiFi was great so it didn’t matter much.

Dates: August 15 - 29. This park was very nice in that it had good concrete pads and nice laundry and pool facilities. It was gated with a security guard which was another nice bonus. They had no dog park (even though they had plenty of room to put one in). There were dumpsters just outside the park that smelled soooo bad all the time which was a huge detractor. As far as noise, they must be on an ambulance route because it was near constant sirens from ambulances which grew tiresome quickly. They also have an airport behind the park which we actually didn't mind since we were at the front of the park but that also could annoying very quickly. The store closed at 4 everyday which really is just too early. Verizon signal was good. The beach was also close.

This used to be a KOA and you can definitely tell. It was a nice place to stay for the time we were there. The employees were very nice and helpful. Only thing to add, they said the pull through site we were in was 70’ long but it most definitely was a max of 60’.

We stayed here for a week to kill some time as we travel west. Biggest issue was the site was a bit unlevel but we were able to make it work. After speaking to the owners (who have owned it for a few years now and take great pride in it) it is in the process of getting more level but the lack of rain has caused the gravel not to pack like it should. They have a HUGE sites for big rigs which was nice for us. Laundry room was great. Dog run worked out nicely, they had ducks in the small dog area which was fun. They also had a donkey and some goats you could interact with. There is not much to do in Shamrock in general so consider that if you are thinking of staying for long periods.

Dates: May 11 - 16. This was an awesome KOA. They were able to accommodate us on VERY short notice (morning of) with 30 amp FHU pull through spot. The park was quite large and had multiple laundry facilities and a small arcade. The dog park was decently sized (could have been much bigger though). They had breakfast every morning for a very good price (pancakes, eggs, etc). There was some inclement weather a couple nights (tornado watches and hail warnings) but the staff was very good at alleviating our concerns. Verizon signal was good.

Dates: June 28 - July 12. The potential this place has is MASSIVE. As it is right now it was a huge letdown. They have a ton of land but not all that many actual spots to park. They call themselves a resort but don't have a pool or laundry. The price you pay is definitely far too much for what is there. They did have a large dog park which is about the only saving grace for us. We did have a couple of nights with some pretty terrible neighbors that the staff really didn't do much to alleviate. The Verizon signal was super weak and they did not have wifi (they were working on getting wifi at least). They did say that they were under new ownership and the new owners were slowly giving allowances for upgrades but they were not yet in place. As of now we wouldn't stay there again, that could change if they actually upgraded the park to the potential that it has.

I am very torn on how to rate this campground. The owners are very nice and very accommodating, I’ll start there. It is tucked away up against a creek but close to Lake Erie so the location was ok. The actual sites were just gravel with some very oddly laid out concrete pads. There was water and electricity but no sewer. The gravel was very soft so if you have a heavier rig then you’ll want to put something down under the jacks. They had a few acres of just grass that they mowed almost every day while we were there which we found quite weird. There were also a bunch of long term (we assume) campers there that looked more like they were storing their trailers there. Was told they had showers and bathrooms with new floors but when I walked in the two toilets had rubberized floors that felt like you were going to fall through them. The one working shower sat between the two toilets and didn’t even have a curtain. Everyone there also constantly talked about needing to visit done warehouse a few minutes away but that place was just a surplus hoarders den, I wonder if they are getting paid to advertise. The last thing was that there was essentially no Verizon signal at all for us. I don’t think I’d stay there again unless it was just a stopping point for a night or two.

Dates: July 12 - August 15. We stayed here for a month and it was fantastic. It is a basic KOA so not a ton of amenities but they did have a pool and laundry. The dog park was great and they even provided some tennis balls for everyone. The biggest detractor is that it is a decent ways away from much of anything but its really a good stop over for anyone needing a place to stay. The staff was awesome, we had an incident with a rock getting thrown from a mower and shattered a window on our SUV and they just went ahead and took care of it with no fuss. There were some gnarly rain storms (inches of rain) but it didn't flood very badly at all. You can tell that the owners take a lot of pride in this place. Verizon signal was pretty good.

We have stayed at a few KOA’s over the years and this one is great! The whole place was clean. The staff was FANTASTIC! They were super accommodating and helpful. We had no issues with any of the hookups or site. Would definitely stay again.

Dates: May 17. Just stayed here for one night. They had a good dog park around the back of the park. FHU and good Verizon signal. Not much to say as we were only here the one night and it was all good.
