We love KOAs in general and this is a great one. We are in a non-fancy pull through site and it is spacious with a nice cement picnic table. I appreciate that at checkin they gave me a new site with more shade and we have really been enjoying it. The fenced in dog-run is a fine size but with shade and grass and a tree, much better than the only-gravel ones you see many places. The tent area is spectacular for summer camping with huge, gorgeous coniferous trees, large sites, and much needed shade for the summer. I would recommend 73, 74, or 97 but they are all nice. I would love to come back and tent camp and climb the big one some day! Both RV and tent sites are raked every day and picked up. They water the road to keep the dust down. We have nothing but good things to say and we have been in dozens of campgrounds the past 2 months. Great restaurants in town too including Lolas, Yaks, Bistro 107. The Ace in town has everything.

Quaint KOA located conveniently off the freeway, but very quiet. Served well for an overnight stay, and I love the dog run that allowed me to exercise my German Shepherd pup after a long day on the road. Would definitely stay there again and enjoyed the cool evening and Sounds of Nature to put me to sleep. One train passed by but otherwise very peaceful.

Arrived at 6pm, office was closed but our reservation was on the board. Went to our assigned site 21, located near the dump station. I slept well but my wife was not so lucky due to the many trains which passed in the night.

We had a one night reservation on a weekend when passing through. The office staff was very nice and friendly. We immediately had electricity problems at our site. They were attentive to try and fix it, but it was clear their stuff was dated. It was hot and everyone was likely using AC. After a couple requests we were moved to another site and it was fine. Overall though, the campground was really dusty and the sites were okay. It worked, but not a destination by any means.

We came here specifically because I wanted to see Mt. Shasta as I looked out the window. That was a mistaken observation my dear Lady provided me. This is maybe the only place in town you can't see the mountain from. Still, I would come back here in the ruffle of a squirrel's take because:
1. It's cheap for a KOA. $31 for full hookups, pull through, and 6 people were included.
2. It's kid-centric. A playground, a pool... Why do old people even go to KOAs? These are the main reasons we do.
3. It's so close to town, and town rules like a cutoff jean jacket vest with an anarchy spray painted in the back. One of my favorite towns ever.
The staff was nice, cellular internet just okay, my dog got lost and my kids freaked out the entire time. Sites were small. No fire pits. Lovely trees from around the world. They sold beer and propane on site.
The end.

I stayed here in an October weekday hence it wasn't very crowded and the manager made sure all campers were spaced apart which was very nice. I came here from Eugene, Oregon which had experienced a lot of rain, so this was dry and sunny and very pleasant. Even though it is a fairly open campground, there are some large trees in some of the campsite areas as well as the tent area. The one big drawback for some will be the early morning trains, I didn't hear them as I usually have fans on. Fairly certain they have WiFi but I didn't need it.

Came in late, so only dry sites with no hookups available - still charged $40 to essentially park. The worst part is that it is right near the train tracks, so all night long we heard noise from the trains, which led to restless sleep. Nice setting, but we couldn’t wait to leave.

This campground is open during the corona virus for campers. The cabins are not. There were only a few others while we were here. The cable was fuzzy but we watched movies on our dvr.

I wasn’t expecting much...being this was a city KOA and we’ve had some not-so-great experiences with city campgrounds. But I was very wrong. Very clean, yet tightly spaced RV sites surrounded by ample tent and cabin camping. Tons of amenities and GREAT WIFI! And the staff were awesome too....super friendly and extremely helpful. All this, with some boondocking sites we may utilize in the future, nestled perfectly at the base of Mount Shasta. We will be back! Thank you Mt Shasta Koa!
