The campground is very clean and well maintained. The sites are easily accessible with plenty of space between them. The bath house is very clean and good sized. For people with pets, there’s a dog park where the dogs are allowed off leashes to run and play; otherwise, they must be leashed while in the campground.
Spread over 100 acres, there are trails, walking areas, and plenty of room and space to explore.

We spent 3 nights in our RV and found it very neat & peaceful. The location was a wonderful place for our family to hike alongside the river, fish in the ponds, play on the playground and just be outdoors. Our kids spent 2 nights in a tent site near our back on site which worked out well for meals & campfire time.
The only real downside were the flies. They were just annoying. We put fly strips up n our unit and pretty quickly solved the problem.
Be sure to let the office know you need firewood if you’re arriving after the office is closed otherwise you’ll have to wait until the next morning.

There were very few campers there. Great reception and store at check in. The grounds were very well-kept. Bathrooms were clean. Easy registration on-line. Firewood was nice and dry. I could not find anywhere to deposit trash, but I probably missed something. Didn't try the wifi, but they have it available.

Lots of trails for running and hiking. Right on the river! Great for tubing? Cell service was good enough to use as a hotspot for laptop.

Dates: June 28 - July 12. The potential this place has is MASSIVE. As it is right now it was a huge letdown. They have a ton of land but not all that many actual spots to park. They call themselves a resort but don't have a pool or laundry. The price you pay is definitely far too much for what is there. They did have a large dog park which is about the only saving grace for us. We did have a couple of nights with some pretty terrible neighbors that the staff really didn't do much to alleviate. The Verizon signal was super weak and they did not have wifi (they were working on getting wifi at least). They did say that they were under new ownership and the new owners were slowly giving allowances for upgrades but they were not yet in place. As of now we wouldn't stay there again, that could change if they actually upgraded the park to the potential that it has.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It's very close to Luray Caverns, and 30 minutes from the entrance gate to Shenandoah National Park. Just a few miles away is a Walmart, supermarket, and a few restaurants and stores in Luray. The RV sites are decently spaced, with picnic table and fire pit. There are some nice tent platforms in the woods with a lot of privacy, and some rows of tent sites in the open in the main campground area. Several grassy "trails" lead around the property, great for dog walks, and there's quite a bit of river access which our dog loved for swims. We were there pre-season so the park was mostly empty and the rates were cheaper ($44/night including tax). The only downside for us was connectivity: Verizon had a pretty good signal but data was often slower than we'd like, while AT&T had only one bar of signal and varied between slow and unusable. Using our cell booster made little difference with data speeds. We'd definitely return.

Outlanders River Camp is situated right on the Shenandoah River, 5 minutes from downtown Luray and 20 minutes from Shenandoah NP’s entrance. Gorgeous lush property, cute cabins, great walking trails and amazing views. If it’s fully booked, the sites are close together like most RV parks so securing a corner site would be ideal if you want some more yard space. Otherwise, highly recommend!!

Spent a three day weekend in a 35 foot class A. An absolute beautiful place. All facilities are really top notch. River walk is incredible, the tent sites along the river were well done, spread out and rack with its own built up gravel pad. We will want to go back!
