Very nice rest area. Large truck parking area. Do hear all the turnpike and truck noise. Restroom open 24/7. Food court, trucker lounge. Great for one night stay.

Parking is small and crowded so we parked near Sam’s Club. Lots of local car traffic.

Came from Boise and drove about 4 miles on dirt road. Was so worth the trek. Stayed the first site which was only for one camper. Had own private toilet pit. Camped right off the river. Wake up to amazing views!

We stayed at Cy Walmart for one night. Walmart feels new, very large and clean. Parking lot is big clean. No road noise. Quiet night sleep. Highly recommend.

The road kicks off some high dust all day by the cars. My van was covered in dust by end of day one. Area is beautiful with campsites right along the creek. Seem water level was too low to catch any fish. Drive from the north and pass the horse camp and you’ll start seeing some nice campsites.

Stayed for 1 night. Saw couple of RV and tractor trailers. Very quiet and large parking lot.

Pay extra and get the premium lot. It has the best views. Sunsets are amazing. Was able Uber from campground to downtown Asheville. Clean enough bathrooms. Jason was very helpful.

Will come here again. Even my wife was happy with the clean bathrooms. Close to all the hikes. Easy check in. Very quiet and dark at night.

Highly recommend Lampe Campground. Sites are spread out, not over crowded since it’s fairly small campground. Level sites and everyone was respectful and quiet. Very clean bathrooms and showers. Stayed for 5 nights. No regrets. We did laundry $2.00 for wash, $2.25 for dryer only quarters. There is no change machine. Facilities take pride in keeping the grounds clean.

Easy access to all the major hikes. No cell service in the campgrounds. No showers. But right inside the GSMP. Would stay again.
