We stumbled on this place when we were looking for a site Memorial Weekend. Great park, very clean, nice concrete pads. Super awesome little town with some great history and food. Only drawback was the train (part of the history) that came through all hours of the night. It shook the trailer and was loud with all the crossings it had to blow the horn at. I'm glad that we got to experience the town!

The location is great since it is set off the Interstate. You do not get any road noise from this KOA. We had high expectations based off previous reviews, but what we saw was not was has been previously reported. We stayed one night on 8/15. Spot 18 was shaded, with a gravel pad. Spots were a little close together, but the biggest pain for us was the large rocks on the road and paths. It made walks with the dog uncomfortable not only for our dog's paws, but our feet as well. The pond that they rent kayaks for was covered in pond scum and there's no way we would have went on it. The wifi was great and you could even stream on it! The deluxe cabins looked amazing and were a step up from your normal KOA. The last thing for us was that they push for ratings. They want you to rate them perfectly, even if it's not so that they move up the rankings in KOA. We received multiple notifications to rate them so we did. Probably not what they would have wanted. we would not rule out staying here for one night, but it really was a letdown.

We stayed here one night in April on our way to South Florida. Several long term residents, the grounds were a bit unkept, no check in needed, no Camp host, kinda rough overall. Gravel spot with lots of weeds. Dumpsters on the way in to the park and not out. Pretty much an overnight only spot if we needed it, but nothing more. Far enough from the Interstate to keep the traffic noise to a minimum. Could be a great park with some TLC.

We stayed here one night while transitioning to our next destination. Nice Cracker Barrel parking lot with marked spaces. It is right off the Interstate so I would expect some traffic noise. What we didn't expect was loud cars racing all night long. We ordered breakfast from Cracker Barrel(which was subpar) and the Manager said that it was normal and every night of the week was like that.

If you have the option, drive a little farther to a different location if you want to sleep.

We stayed here over the 4th of July weekend since spots were very limited everywhere. It is very remote and little to no signal. It is very hilly and the spots are set up very weird. Our spot was uneven (not as much as others), the picnic table and grill were down the hill behind our site. The wood around the "patio" which was behind the trailer had broken down, rotted wood with nails exposed. The true patio side was only about a foot and then it dropped off the hillside. There was no sitting outside for sure. We experienced several power surges and only had one rain shower while we were there. The bath houses are completely run down. Rusted shower heads and not cleaned daily. There was a lot of activity of vehicles coming and going, almost like a "pit stop" for items to pick up. If you can get a spot in the large loop on the water, it seemed much better. There was no camp host present and it basically was a free for all. We did see the Park Ranger drive through once a day, but that was about it. There's even a really run down 5th wheel right inside the entrance with a Sheriff's car sitting next to it. Never saw any movement, but quite odd for sure. It's a shame that this ACE campground has basically been abandoned, because it could be a true gem! We will not be returning!

We chose this Cracker Barrel after stopping in at the Wal Mart and decided it was not a good location. This location has easy access and the parking lot has lots of room. When we pulled in, there was another RV there and all set up. The Restaurant had blocked one of the prime spots with a trash dumpster so we parked across from the designated spots. The parking lot was well lit and we were able to find a pretty level spot. There was some freeway noise, as to be expected but it was not super loud. We would stay here again if the need arose.

Not many places you can go to get a FHU for $40 a night! We were pleasantly surprised. This campground was formerly a golf course! So there are lots of paved paths (golf cart paths) to walk and a couple of pond/lakes. Friendly man met us as we pulled and and greeted us with a smile and directions to our site. We had a 70' pull thru site that was gravel, but it was clean and in a great location. The shower house was individual units that were super clean and air conditioned. the way the Interstate angled, you could hear the roar from the road, but it wasn't unbearable. There are spots at the other end of the park, that it would be much more quiet. If we pass through on our way somewhere again, we would absolutely stay again.

We stayed here for two weeks to see our daughter. Upon arrival, check in was easy and we were taken to a site that was way to short for our 36' trailer. And the concern over cracking the patio concrete and "guiding" was not a good experience. After a couple tries of getting it into the spot, we were allowed to move spots. this spot fit our trailer, but the road is very narrow so backing in is not simple. Luckily there was two empty spots across so we were able to get her backed in. The spots are sandy so if you don't react well to "no see ums" beware. The spots are on top of each other. Beside and behind so privacy is limited. We had some nice seasonal folks next to us, but felt so bad that our slide was right up against their walkway. The train tracks were close, but it was minimal noise in my opinion. It fit the need at the time, but will probably choose differently when we return.

We stayed here for one night July 18th as we were making our way to the West. The campground is about a half mile off of I-40 so it is quiet and no road noise! The campground is hilly, but the spots are level and nicely shaded. There are some long term campers in the back of the campground, but you won't see them unless you intentionally go to that area. They had great wifi and a nice bath house. They were filling the pool while we were there so water pressure was low and at midnight, we had no water. Overall, worth the stay if you are a KOA fan and need an overnight or a few days to stop. We will stay here again.

As most reviews state, this place is very clean! Nice concrete pads with the best bath houses we've ever seen. There's a separate place for laundry and even a dog was room (pay) that is air conditioned. It is located far enough from I-40 that you only hear the occasional big rig go by. The wifi is strong and free the first day. Since it is a newer campground, the only thing it is lacking is shade, which will come with time. There were quite a few electric/power folks staying there, so semi longer term, but everyone was respectful and the park was clean. We will stay here again if in the area.
