Wanna Bee Campground now named Nature's Touch is located in a nicely wooded setting in the Wisconsin Dells but the manager is atrocious. When confirming our reservation their email had mistaken our arrival date. When calling to correct this the gentleman who answered to phone was very inept with the computer and took an inordinate amount of time to correct things. I thought we would be coming to a very busy place. Upon arrival we were one of very few campers. There was a note on the door to phone for the manager as he was out on errands. When he arrived there was no greeting only a comment that we owed $68. I asked him about the name change and if the camp was under new management. He only responded that he had been here seven years. He had a real chip on his shoulder. He gave us our site number which didn't have the requested full hook ups. His response was to just take any open site. Later in the afternoon we were bothered by noise of a side by side driving around the campground. But when the leaf blower came on during the dinner hour I complained. The only response I got was "You can hook up and leave if you want". The owner did call later to apologize. They have a real problem with the manager.

We stayed here last weekend for our monthly Airstream rally. There were ten rigs located together with excellent indoor facilities for our meals. The camp ground is in a rural setting near to Columbia, SC. There are excellent walking trains down to a running stream, grassy areas and ponds for walking the dog and nice play ground facilities for children. Due to the January time frame it was not very busy although there were about 25 long timers. Our club will definitely go back another year. Two day minimum.

We found this campground cluttered. Neighbors intruded on our campsite with games and lawn chairs, but worst of all cigarette smoke. The roar of the lions at the nearby outdoor zoo was surprising and somewhat entertaining. We became accustomed to the sounds but our dog didn't.
The Zoo was worth visiting. No WiFi or cable.

We made reservations four weeks in advance and were told we got the last site with only water and electricity. When we arrived they were half full and we were able to get full hook ups . They never did fill up. Very friendly management. Narrow sites. I am still cleaning ash off of my car and rig from the fire next door to say nothing about the smoke. Will return to store our trailer only because it is closest to our grandchildren.

We stayed a week to visit our grandchildren. Unfortunately it went on either side of the Memorial Day weekend. It is located near to family so is a convenience. We will try to avoid it in the future on a busy weekends. It is a typical KOA campground with full facilities. Unfortunately it was dusty when dry and muddy when wet. It was crowded and noisy. There was campfire smoke every evening.

Advertised rate was $35, with difficulty finding a spot on Thanks Giving week we checked this out. Been here one hour and can't wait to move in the morning. Don't feel safe and over come by food smells. There are more feral cats per square foot than we can count. Most sites are long term, only two transient sites.

Our stay began with advanced reservations. Then we received an email asking us to call ahead or check in on line, neither of which worked. When we arrived we were first sent to an already occupied site. The error was quickly corrected but without any apologies. The community is primarily made up of permanent manufactured homes for retirees. We and some other transients were located in a field of in a corner of the park. Noter the photo of the hookups, it says it all. WiFi was very unpredictable.
The dumpster was a long walk and there was no recycling.

High Island RV Park is where you want to stay if you are coming for the bird migration. No other park in this area can compare. The sites are very narrow but everything else is in working order and are neat and clean. Excellent laundry and bath facilities, free ice, excellent WIFI. Walking distance to great Audubon birding sites. Visit with other birders about the best sightings of the day. Bring food, distant stores and no restaurants.

If you want peace and quiet and like to fish this is the place for you, but it has not been our favorite. The sites are sand and gravel. As I walked my dog I did not see any other transients. Half of the sites were occupied by vacant old RVs many with permanent structures build around them. The other half were occupied by RV's and boats but none of them with vehicles suitable for towing. It appears that the camp is suitable for weekend campers who store their boats and RVs here. Dogs run loose, pet waist is not picked up and trash blows around the property. We complained to the management who responded that the maintenance man has not been supervised well. It is close to the fishing docks and wild life refuges. Laundry facilities are good and the manager was eager to be helpful. WIFI works!
