“Wild campground and restaurant”
Linger Lodge is the perfect place to recapture those lazy, carefree times. Large, live oak trees dripping in Spanish moss shelter the restaurant and campground. This is "Old Florida" at its best. Located in Bradenton, on the picturesque banks of the Braden River, Linger Lodge is untouched by time and full of taxidermy—both good and bad.

After being closed for two years for major renovations, the Linger Lodge RV Park just reopened and we stayed for a week. It was wonderful, we had such a good time, they did an excellent job. The Resort Style Pool (with a cage!) and hot tub is spectacular! The Clubhouse has a Pool Table, Kids Corner, Library and is very spacious and comfy. We didn't use the Gym but looked nice. Everything was very clean and the Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We loved the individual Bathrooms! Didn't use the Laundry but we saw a lot of people using it. The Restaurant on site has very good food and is a unique place, definitely want to check that out when you are there :-) we will be back!

This place was completely rebuilt. Lots of capital came in here which would explain the high prices. Nice job, no troubles, clean well designed sites. Not roomy but not skinny. Really enjoyed our stay here. We were site #12. This is on the main road from gate. Very bright night lights on this part of road so it would not be my first choice in future. Also dog park gate here so a bit of "walk by" traffic. But really this is a nice park and We would come again for sure.

We brought in our 44' fifth wheel beast and were able to accommodate it easily. There are a couple spots that are not big rig friendly, so be sure to be honest and clear about your size. The first spot they put us in was impossible to get into because of many utility light poles and electrical boxes and such. They moved us to another spot and we glided in. Staff is super friendly, the restaurant is excellent, and the river is beautiful. Only gripe is the wifi is horrible, but that's par for the course in RV parks.

We live only 20 minutes from Linger Lodge RV Park. We we’re looking for a nearby place to take our Grandkids. Linger Lodge is perfect. At this time of the year, not many camping so had lots of quiet. Grandkids loved the beautiful pool and game room! Did a little fishing as well. Sites are reasonably spacious. Our site, #98 easily had plenty of space for our 45 ft Class A. A little pricey yet worth the stay. Linger Lodge Restaurant is nice place for some drinks and food.

We toured the campground, thinking we might stay, but it's a parking lot. Not a lick of shade to be had which sucks because this whole area used to be covered in trees. They bulldozed a whole bunch of old Florida to make an RV parking lot baking in the sun. No thanks.

Pricy but well worth it. Almost empty CG at Thanks Giving time. Gracious and friendly staff. Right on a river. Level paved sites. Modern and clean laundry. Walking distance to a nice restaurant.

The taxidermy here is worth the stop. Sunday mornings feature giant bloody Mary’s that are a meal themselves. I take friends here as a novelty. A kitsch treasure!
Such a fun restaurant full of bad taxidermy And good stories. If you come here for the food you are missing the point - especially since the menu has a middle flap featuring Roadkill. That said who can say no to Alligator bites and frogs legs! Well worth the trip and after lunch you can rent a canoe and go down the river.
This place is kitschy and quaint. A real throw back to old Florida with tons of taxidermy decorating the inside and live oaks along the Braden River banks outside. There's a 'RV' camp that has permeant residents (trailer park) and some short term dots along the water front as well as cabins you can rent. They have a boat ramp and kayaks and canoes for rent.
The food is Florida traditional sea food and southern fare. Alligator, frog legs, cat fish, and grouper among other favorites. I've eaten here twice and both times it was good. They have a full par and decent beer selection.
On the weekends it can get busy with the Friday karaoke and Saturday and Sunday live music. You may want to make a reservation.
Take your time and explore the place it's interesting and unique. You won't forget visiting this place.
