We stayed here for one night, arriving early Friday morning and departing Saturday morning. When we arrived there was no other campers there, but there were about 9 total by the end of the evening.
My only minor drawback from this place was how easily sound carried. There was a group that came to party for the evening at the first area and it was easy to hear their music and conversations on the second area where we stayed. Otherwise great stay right on the lake.
The flies were also pretty bad, but hey that's camping!

We stayed here twice within 6 weeks while travelling through the area due to the convenient location and open space. Be careful coming in as the dips can make it easy to bottom out!

This is a good spot, nice and open and easy to get to. It is a good central location for exploring Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe Mountains NPs. BUT be very cautious, there was trash around, including wires, glass, and nails. We got TWO flat tires here due to running over a nail - one in our truck and one on the trailer, talk about a day ruiner!

This place was great and the hosts were so kind and responsive to our questions. My only issue was that we paid for a water and electric hookup, but the water was only a little more than a trickle coming out of the spigot. This was fine for us as we already had our tank full, but it took forever when time came to fill up. We also had a water issue when dumping, as there was a water spigot there near the dump station but someone was using the only spigot as a full hookup, so no water was available for tank flushing. We ended up walking back and forth to our site with the low pressure spigot for a couple of 5 gallon buckets to flush the tanks.

Overall this was a great stay and we would definitely stay here again!

This place was a great spot just outside of town. We arrived about 4pm on Saturday in October and were one of four people there. By 7pm it had filled up completely.

This is a very open spot with large sites to accommodate any rig and vehicle, and the sites are spread out enough to feel private but close enough to feel safe. There were restrooms on site but we did not check them out.

Noise - there is a train that runs by the campground (including throughout the night) and is very loud. The whistle is blown while the train passes, so I woke up each time it came by.

This was a great stop right next to Custer State Park for us to explore the Black Hills area and get some nice showers in with full hookups. There are laundry facilities on site, and the hosts were very kind and attentive to our questions. The sites were very well maintained. Most people it seemed use this as a sleeping point to go out and do their adventuring, so while there were many other rigs around, it was very quiet around the campground.

Great stay at Onegum. We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon and the campground has been very quiet and well maintained. Some sites back up right to the lake, which look nice (ours does not). We stayed at site #9 and it was very spacious, we easily pulled in our 33ft trailer.

The 6 mile dirt road in took us over a half hour to drive, which was no fun. Once we got there, many of the sites looked like a transient encampment with hundreds of cardboard boxes stacked and makeshift tents. We did not feel comfortable staying, so drove back out and up the road to Riley, which was a great stay at Chickahominy

This place seemed a little sketchy when we first came in, with most of the buildings covered in tarps or being seemingly rundown, but we were welcomed immediately by 2 of the camp hosts, who were exceedingly kind. They gave us information on the area as well as showed us the black bear when he came through camp. This was an excellent location for exploring Prairie Creek and the redwoods, and not a bad drive to town either. One negative was the information on their website showing laundry, when there was not any laundry facilities available, the hosts said that is in progress for the future.

This was such a great spot, just a couple of minutes walk to the beach, where you could walk forever in either direction. We full time, and this has been one of our favorite spots yet!
