Sounds and looks awesome in theory, but the execution is lacking. The hotel is located right in a highway exit and not within walking distance to the very awesome town of tepoztlan so the location is pretty bad. I'd look to stay somewhere else, especially since there are so many cute hotels in the town or beautiful houses on the outskirts.
The food is pretty expensive and portion sizes are on the small side, but the food is really delicious. They also have some really good sakes that you don't find elsewhere and the outdoor patio is one of the biggest in the neighborhood so it's great when the weather is nice.
Shadeu is great, they generally sell out of a lot by early afternoon but everything I've gotten from them is delicious and fresh. They have good salty and savory stuff to pick up for a quick breakfast as well as all the traditional stuff you'd expect to find at a bakery.
Very cool place to take little kids, especially when they have monarch butterflies. Also cool to go on cold winter days when you need to pretend you're in the tropics for a little while.
A lot of people talk about how great this place is for brunch but every time I've eaten there I'm disappointed by mediocre-at-best food. I think people say it's good because there aren't many other brunch options around but I'd say it's worth driving a little further away to get something better.
Been wanting to go here very much! Looks like such a cool cincy adventure!
I know skiing in the Midwest isn't generally thought of as exciting, Snowshoe is actually really fun for anyone who isn't ready to hurl themselves down the side of a double black diamond. They have some nice windy trails in the woods with pretty good powder and it's a great place to get comfortable skiing. Would love to go back!
Funny old above ground cemetery to go and explore. Tons or roosters and chickens roaming around with their chicks also, kind of amusing.
Saratoga Lake is absolutely beautiful! My sister organized a camping trip there last summer over 4th of July weekend. We canoed to our own little private island where we camped for 4 nights, cooking all our food over a bonfire, foraging in the woods for firewood, canoeing and exploring the lake during the day and escaping entirely from our everyday lives. There are loads of great-looking campsites and overall just an absolutely idyllic place to spend lazy summer days. I'd go back in a heartbeat!
My family used to go up to northern Michigan every summer and our favorite place to go were the dunes at Lake Michigan. Such a beautiful place to go spend the day, exploring the dunes and the surrounding forest, trapping little frogs in the woods, and hanging out at the beach. Hope to make it back up there soon!
