Super clean and pretty quiet. Easy walk to town for dining. $15 donation suggested but not required. The payment slot is by the bathrooms. Electric sites with a few trees. Clean bathrooms. A good place to spend a night or two in a nice little town.

Nice place to stay between Bryce and Zion. After following the map we discovered there’s a much better access off the highway between mile marker 78 and 79. Look for the stop sign.

We paid cash, as that’s all they take, for 3 nights but left after 2 because we had been set up to shield the rest of the camp from the big party of tent campers they brought in on our second night. They partied until 3:00 am right outside our windows. The camp is nice but mostly seasonal residents. It has a nice pier and a good little kayak launch. We didn’t experience the friendly version of Bill that the other people described.

Small but sweet spot on the Chickahominy River. Management went out of their way to tell us about the area and sites to see. Very nice people! Little general store onsite. Water view campsite with full hookups was roomy and peaceful. Fishing off their pier was fun and the sunrise and moonrise over the water were beautiful. We wanted to go kayaking and wished we had another day to spend. Highly recommend it, at least for off-season. It looks like it may be busier in the summer with seasonal campers.

This little gem is nestled up against the Carson National Forest between Taos and Angel Fire in the Taos Canyon, which is well known for art studios and galleries on the Enchanted Circle. For adventure there is hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and golfing. The golf course and clubhouse isn’t a mile away. Eagle Nest Lake is just over the hill.

It’s very clean and well maintained with a nice communal fire ring. There is no cell service but the park has good WiFi. The staff is great.

Highly recommended!!

We almost passed on this after reading the reviews, and I’m so glad we didn’t! While we prefer boondocking to RV parks, this is a great one if that’s what you like. It’s spacious, clean, and beautiful with lots of nice extras like boat/kayak/canoe/jet ski rentals; a nice pavilion for games and socializing; a small country store; docks you can fish off and a boat launch; horseshoe pits, pool table, ping pong and more; a decent food truck and occasionally live music on weekends. The management were super nice and helpful, very easy to work with. The lake is beautiful with Lilly pads and sailboats, and there’s even a little beach lined with adirondack chairs. We paid $5 extra for a waterfront spot. There’s a lot to like at this park! Don’t miss it.
Note: location is wrong on Google maps. It’s here: (42.3617391, -76.7485179)

Everything you need is here. Bait shop and boat launch, plus fishing pier, if you’re into that. Lots of trails around pretty lakes. There are single-track mountain bike trails too. Bunnies everywhere! They’re all pretty friendly and looking for carrots from campers.
For the price the full-hookup sites are really nice. The back-in sites are arranged so that they’re pretty private. A nice little spot!
Jetpack with booster got full bars and was fine for streaming.

We camped right on the shore in a nice, grassy, clean site. The park was patrolled by the Sheriff. We were the only campers there. Bathrooms were very clean as was the whole park. There were so many places to park on the river.

If you need solar, this isn’t a good option. Also, it’s near the water and has nice trails but it’s not easy to get down to the water. Our site was large but for the price, with no services, we felt it wasn’t worth it.

The campsites are really nice with covered picnic tables and fresh gravel, many with lake views. The cedars and bushes make them very private. I think they may have widened the roads but it’s still probably not big-rig friendly except for a site or two. The signage is almost non-existent so you could get stuck in some places, and the “map” they give out is not very helpful. It’s a drone photo with numbers approximating the site locations.

We were enjoying our site with great internet (Verizon) and thought we would stay an extra day but changed our minds when they wanted to charge another $24 entry fee ($12/person) plus the $30 campsite fee. Not worth it.

Most notably, the place is full of litter! Some sites are worse than others. There are 2 large cans in every site so it’s a wonder that there is so much trash everywhere. Very disappointing.

On the other hand, the fishing dock and boat ramp are really nice. The water is low but crystal clear. It’s a beautiful lake and has the potential to be a real gem of a park. I hope they figure it out and fix the fee structure!

Site 7 is a long back-in pad that would hold a truck and 30+ ft trailer. Site 6 is a spacious pull-through.
