FREE! Great, stop over spot with extra clean bath/shower facilities. 30 & 50 amp electric hookups. A few water hookups along the fence. Quiet and peaceful. Most spaces are on an incline, but no problem with auto levelers. Traveling on 25' RV towing. Definitely would stay here again. Located across from the grain elevator facilities. I didn’t stay here, but was driving through the area in June 2021, and contacted the Fair for information about availability, price and amenities. Here’s the response that I quickly received (fast customer service - hence the 5 stars).
“ It is all handled by the Rugby Park Board. They just would like a donation of $15. Hookups are available but no dump station. You can call them 701-776-6181”

I just have a pop-up but it looks like this could handle more or less any size rig, since it's kind of an open field. Not a lot of shady spots, but a pretty, grassy setting with a couple of shaded picnic tables. Very uncrowded when I was there.
The payment thing is kind of strange. '$15 honor-system' payment - fair enough. However, rather than just having a payment collection box there on site you are supposed to track down somebody at City Hall to pay them during business hours. Huh? What if you arrive Friday evening and leave Sunday, how do you pay then? Additionally, when I talked to somebody on the phone before I arrived, they were kind of noncommittal about the whole system and mentioned something about some private campground owner nearby having complained about the (previously) free county park... I'm normally pretty careful about any kind of honor system payments but I simply didn't think they were very serious about collecting in this particular case. If you're just using it as a quick stopping place for the night, that seems like one thing, but if you are staying there multiple days and using electric, that might seem like something else. Your call.

Fair grounds site with clean level grass sites, water, electric and free. Come in main gate and parking is to the right on the circle drive. Nice little bar/grill 2 blocks away.

Super clean and pretty quiet. Easy walk to town for dining. $15 donation suggested but not required. The payment slot is by the bathrooms. Electric sites with a few trees. Clean bathrooms. A good place to spend a night or two in a nice little town.

Bathrooms w/shower park was empty except for us and a local who drove through. Drop box honor system. See or call city hall to stay longer than 7 days. 30 amp and 15/20 amp GFCI. Grass spots. Plenty of room for group campers.

Looks like an ok place to overnight, but not on a Saturday night. They were having an event at the fairgrounds and a peaceful stop was not to be had. We moved on.

There is no place to actually pay for the campsite. The sign says there's a $15 suggested donation. If you arrive Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. you could go to the city office building and pay there. Any other times they are closed and there's no other way to pay. The park is nice with a lot of spots. Some have water and some don't. We hooked up our 50 amp electric. The bathrooms were locked so we never got to see if there were actually showers.

This place is open for campers even when Google says it is closed. There are quite a few grass sites with electric and a few have water as well. With nothing going on at the fairgrounds we were all by ourselves. It is convenient to Rugby and an hour away from the Peace Gardens and Minot. $15 donation is suggested.

...fairgrounds camp we've stayed in, and we've stayed in quite a few. We had to drive around a little to find the entrance (Google maps took us to the east side instead of the south side). We were the only ones there on 8/17/23. The place is very quiet and dark enough with only a couple of floodlights around. Lovely grassy area, wonderfully clean bathroom with shower, electric and water, just great. A secure box to pay your $15 is next to the bathrooms, you can't miss it. I'm assuming it is a new addition, since earlier posts said there was no place to pay. A couple local boys rode their bikes by and said hello and waved, the whole town seems friendly. No graffitti anywhere around the fairgrounds even though there is open access. Someday we'd like to come back for more than pics at the Geographical Center of NA. We highly recommend a night stay here.
