Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on March 20, 2022Stayed 7 nights at this very large city park. Front entrance is not manned off season. Arrived late afternoon, chose a lakeside site, and paid the next day for the length of our visit at Spring Creek Marina and RV Park. Cash only. Large sites with picnic table and large trash bin. Grill at some sites. Flushable toilets. Dry camping. Groomed landscape. Close enough to town to ride your bike. Many sites to choose from - maybe a total of three RVs the entire time we were there. Very quiet. On the weekend, there was a running group meet up and also what appeared to be a two day local disc golf tournament, but everyone was respectful and kept noise to a minimum. Loved listening to the various wildlife - ducks, fish jumping, owls. Even had horses across the lake and could hear the whinnying during the night - so relaxing! Watched boats pass by. The only real complaint - dogs off leash, which is clearly marked at the entrance as a violation of city ordinance. Our pups were enjoying afternoons outside our door, on lead, and we were astonished at the multiple vehicles driving through with their dogs running alongside the car! Apparently this is the local version of walking your dog?!? Only upsetting because the dogs were usually running through our site. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!

We camped here in early November. We were the only people there. This is water front boondocking with lots of space. Cell signal was good for both Verizon and AT&T.
Its not staffed this time of year and it’s not obvious where you can and can’t camp, so we parked our 43’ 5th wheel by a picnic table and figured we’d move if we were told to. It must have been ok.
We paid at the Marina across the lake next to an actual RV park.
We would have stayed longer if we knew how amazing this place was.

We stayed here for 6 nights in our fifth wheel. There are not any actual sites, but we backed our fifth wheel up to the lake next to a picnic table and nobody said anything to us. We are here in December so the park has been pretty empty. If I’m ever out this way again I will definitely stay here again.

We found this wonderful park on Campendium because it was a nice middle stop on our way from Carlsbad to Killeen. It it a very large park with a lake, lots of trees and grass. No real designated spots so you can camp anywhere but lots of picnic tables and trash cans. It was spring break weekend and even though there were a lot of campers here we were able to spread out and get away. There is swimming in the lake and playgrounds too. Saw some people fishing. The morning sunset was gorgeous!

This Place is Nice And Quiet. Plenty Of Places To Camp. No Designated Spots. I Got 2 Bars on Verizon. Non Resident Is $16. I Didn’t See A Drop Box. Police Officer Did Knock On Door Around 10pm. Ask If We Were Ok And Was Checking On Us. We Were The Only Ones There So Maybe That Was The Case. He Said We Needed A Permit . I Told Him I Didn’t See A Dropbox And He Said I Can Obtain One At The Marina. You Would Have To Drive All The Always Around To Get There So He Said If It’s Just 1 Night Not To Worry About It. Super Nice Guy. We Slept Great. Beautiful Place To Stay.

We camped right on the shore in a nice, grassy, clean site. The park was patrolled by the Sheriff. We were the only campers there. Bathrooms were very clean as was the whole park. There were so many places to park on the river.
