Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on May 07, 2023Lots of RV parks and campgrounds on the Virginia peninsula but they were all booked up on the weekend we were going to stay there. It was also one of the hottest days of the year so we wanted a full hookup 50 amp site. For $45/night this is nice. Met the owners and they are RV'ers themselves who have just moved here last year from central Florida. Seemed like nice people and charge a fair price. Site was hard, ground was level, river view out the back windows. Worked for us.

Small but sweet spot on the Chickahominy River. Management went out of their way to tell us about the area and sites to see. Very nice people! Little general store onsite. Water view campsite with full hookups was roomy and peaceful. Fishing off their pier was fun and the sunrise and moonrise over the water were beautiful. We wanted to go kayaking and wished we had another day to spend. Highly recommend it, at least for off-season. It looks like it may be busier in the summer with seasonal campers.

Had a pleasant stay while visiting Jamestown and Yorkstown. Really only have 3 sites available for nightly stays. Most are separate area for monthly rates. Clean shower area short walk. Does have washer and dryer area.
Need to cross railroad tracks and road to sites are windy. Wouldn't recommend any long vehicles. Believe sites are only 30 amp. but ask. Will water and sewer.

The owners are super nice and made us feel so welcome, like part of the family. We spent some time chatting with them and learned allot about the area. Thursday night fishing derby was very interesting to watch. We rented a pontoon boat so we could explore the river, it was clean, reliable and the short intro was helpful. We did hear the train but it did not bother us at all. I did laundry but did not use rest rooms
WE had a wonderful time touring the historic area and wine tasting.
Would we stay here again...most certainly!!! planning on it.

This is a quiet, chill campground. There are 3 non-permanent resident RV sites, one by the marina’s boat launch, one next to that, space for the folks staying at the two cabins and then the third RV site closer to the resident RV’s. We arrived on the camp host’s day off & they called the day before to let us know where our info would be. This campground is great if you just want some quiet time by the river, no pool, no activities just chilling. There is Wi-Fi but I wouldn’t rely on it for streaming, we tried it with our XFinity app on the smart TV and loaded slow and programs were buffering a lot, our phone hotspot worked better, it’s fine for email and web surfing. There is boat activity, but it wasn’t bad for late August. There is a private & public pier. There are benches on the public pier & a scary fish cleaning table-no water. Beautiful with the full moon! The site has a fire pit and picnic table. Space between sites is about 30 -40 feet. (not great with measurements) & shot fence for borders. Don’t forget the bug spray!
