There is a small bar/snacks on board if you must. Nice way to get to Isla Mujeres. Clean, A/C below, usually on the way back they have some sort of talented musician. They send a can around near the end. Tip if you feel good about it.

The round trip cost is $19 per person to go to the island and back. The ferry gets you there in about 20 minutes. I suggest to ride on top of the boat on the outdoor deck, you get way more fresh air outside

El Mirador
To take the best possible Cancun beach photo, stop by El Mirador (meaning “The Lookout Point”) at Kilometer 17 of the Hotel Zone. Here, you’ll find a deck with dazzling views of the beach and the many colors of the Caribbean, just perfect for taking pictures of the skyline, the water, or your friends and family.

This is where humans were sacrificed to appease the gods. The water is now stagnant. There is also still standing a Sweat House overlooking the Cenote. Visited June 2013

All type of people were killed and thrown into this sinkhole. More than 300 skelotons were removed from this sinkhole a few years back. Its nice to see and hear about the different type of people and artifacts they found there.

Pink Cliffs
This interesting and colourful phenomenon was exposed by early gold mining activities.

The McIvor gold rush began in April 1853 and attracted thousands of prospectors. They swarmed throughout the area and quickly exhausted gold in the shallow, conglomerate- free grounds.

In later years, intensive mining was limited to deep leads as water shortage in the hotter months prevented worthwhile ‘surfacing’ operations. Sluicing work was carried on until the early 1880’s and it was in this period that work in the in Pink Cliffs area revealed these colourful ‘hills’

Visitors will note as the wander through the spectacular mini gorges a wide variety of small stones throughout the strata, particularly in the dark brown gravel cliffs. Of interest too, are the many pieces of smooth ironstone which have a distinctive volcanic appearance. The colourful cliffs are of a fine clay, which powders to an almost talcum like texture.
We ask that you keep to the tracks and not damage the fragile cliffs in the surrounding area.

226 step, spiral staircase, there is a wonderful view of the coast and the city. Physically challenging activity,
Visiting the lighthouse is free, but you must buy a 7 dollar ticket to climb the staircase.
