This location is a boat tour company. The Soo Locks are viewable for free at 384-398 W Portage Ave, Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783.
Beautiful secluded camp ground. Woodsy but well kept. Clean facilities. Reserve online! Would love to stay again. Tent spaces on the D loop were nicely surrounded by brush providing privacy. Amazing symphony from the night insects!
Definitely putting this on my list of places to return to. Food is well made, delicious and interesting. Community space had a library for local lending and games to play while you eat. Great for kids, inexpensive. Note: the cafe is inside a market area, on the second floor in back. Easily missed, not a lot of signage outside so keep looking! Worth a pit stop.
The cows were out on tour when we arrived at the Turkey Hill factory. But the drive out from town is beautiful amd we stopped at several historical markers of the area, which is along a Civil War trail.
Correction: The bridge is not on Reynolds Industrial drive. The bridge itself is on Kidds Mill Road
Beautiful spot for a picnic! Turn of the century grafitti on the bridge! Roadtrippers directions aren't accurate: the bridge is PAST Richards Industrial Road on Kidds Mill Road by about a quarter mile. It is impassable, but there's bathrooms and a picnic table to sit at and enjoy the wooded turn around.
Hot tip: go on a weekday, after 2pm. you can get cheaper evening only tickets, the sun isn't scorching and the crowds are dispersing. Lines aren't as long and the whole place is more bearable. Really fun time!
Lovely camp ground. Clean, well maintained facilities. Would stay again.
Stopped on a Sunday, several model planes builders were there, with planes on the air! The park is actually set up as a mini airstrip! Lots of fun for a short drive off the main roads.
Nice campground with a great old play scape for kids. Not secluded, but the freeway note was minimal after dark. Easy to get to.
