Opdyke Park barn Hillsdale Aero Modelers flying planes at Opdyke ParkThe Hillside Aero Modelers is an AMA sanctioned club. The members fly as a club on Sunday afternoons and Wednesday evenings (weather permitting). Facilities include lower level of barn, cement patio area with picnic tables, restrooms (with flush toilets), large parking lot and trails for hiking. Williams County Country & Gospel Music Jam Play & sing every Tuesday in the summer months from 6 - 9 p.m. at Opdyke Park. In the winter months we take it inside at the Bryan VFW on Perry Street in Bryan, Ohio also from 6 - 9 pm (do not meet the third Tuesday of the month during the winter). Everyone is welcome to come and play or to just listen. This weekly entertainment was started at Opdyke Park on May 5, 1997 as a Blue Grass Festival and has been meeting and growing ever since. We have had up to 156 people in attendance at the park and have had 101 at the VFW. Refreshments are available for a small donation, otherwise the event is free. Stopped on a Sunday, several model planes builders were there, with planes on the air! The park is actually set up as a mini airstrip! Lots of fun for a short drive off the main roads.
