“Vegetarian Friendly Dining in Lancaster!”
Our Mission is to provide local, sustainably sourced food and beverage in an open, safe space for Lancaster's progressive community; a place to gather and continue the work of social justice, community-building and service to each other and the planet. The Seed is the first and only worker-owned, collectively managed, community space and vegetarian/vegan cafe, serving the needs of Lancaster City, PA. We are open for brunch, lunch, dinner and general radical community building Tuesday through Sunday 10a-9p. Our sides and soups are seasonal and vary, but are always vegan. Kitchen service closes at 8:30pm. Our space also features a community built library full of progressive and radical literature. Reading materials are available to be lent out, we have a sign-out booklet at the bookcase. If you are interested in using the space for an event, please message or email us about what you or your group would like to do.
Definitely putting this on my list of places to return to. Food is well made, delicious and interesting. Community space had a library for local lending and games to play while you eat. Great for kids, inexpensive. Note: the cafe is inside a market area, on the second floor in back. Easily missed, not a lot of signage outside so keep looking! Worth a pit stop.
