We came for one night and stayed for two. This is a very well run RV park with a nice lounge with lots of washers/dryers, a book swap etc. The bathrooms were clean and the staff very helpful. Our site was level and had a picnic table, although some sites did not. Many people seem to be here for long periods of time. You are not in the center of the city but there is bus service just outside and it's an easy drive downtown. Definitely nicer than most places we've stayed.

We stayed 2 nights at Fiddler's Campground, which is part of the Ranch at Death Valley, which is part of the Oasis. We would recommend staying there versus the National Park campgrounds that we saw. It is dry camping, $22 a night, but you have access to the facilities at the Ranch, which includes the Olympic sized warm spring fed pool - gorgeous. Only steps from our campsite was the Golf Course Cafe (expensive but great hamburgers) where you can use the Ranch's good WIFI. There is no cell service in the park so that was a life saver for us. The lower number campsites, particularly 4 - 8 have shade from the pine trees that separate the campsite from the golf course. We LOVED the park itself and would go back again.

We just went for the day here on our way north. It's a beautiful spot and the campsites looked very good, but a lot of the park was closed due to COVID and some construction. There is a lot of room at the boat ramps, a small marina and store. The campground was only about 1/3 full. The picnic spots and beach were closed. We did walk a short ways on the Pacific Crest Trail which goes through here. Its not cheap by State Parks in general.

This was an amazing place to camp with not much planning. We couldn't get a spot in the National Park, stayed in Terlingua Ranch Resort (40 miles from the park but it was fun) for 3 nights. But it was easy to get the campsite in the State Park - 10 miles into the park just off the Rio Grande with beautiful views and a mounted telescope! We stayed 2 nights and drove down to Fort Leaton and hiked the Closed Canyon. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed this campground mainly due to the very friendly Penny's Cafe with their excellent chef Valerie. We had breakfast there chatting with her (great meal) while we did our laundry in the large fairly priced laundromat next door. The sites were level, large and quiet. We'd recommend.

We stayed here one night and it was OK - wide long pull throughs with level sites. It was quiet enough. The highway wasn't a problem and we enjoy a little railroad sound. A basic KOA with no frills. The pool wasn't open.

We were there in early March, 2021 for one night and wished we had more time. The sites were well spaced and scenic. Not all were very level and they varied so much, so check them out before you decide. But if you miss the first loop and head further out, the sites are nice but it's a long way around again. We only had time to do the first trail to Baylor Pass - very easy switchbacks up as far as you want and back. Lot of lovely views. Great place!

We enjoyed two nights in this beautiful park. It is surprisingly close to the city and several big malls are just a few miles away. But once you are there, it is very quiet and feels like wilderness. The campgrounds however are very crowded. All the sites are just feet apart and you will be getting to know your neighbors - in our case, no problem. The restrooms and showers were clean. The trails were very nice and well signposted with good information about the history, flora and animals. The scenery is lovely and we loved seeing the horses.

We spent two lovely nights at this campground. The sites are well spaced with good picnic tables and views. Ours was pretty level but they were varied so check them all out before deciding. It's quite a ways up from Green Valley so be sure to gas up and shop before coming. We were there in mid March and it snowed overnight. Although there was 2 inches of snow (beautiful!), the roads were clear and we had no problem descending. The trail starting from the lower picnic spot ascends to the amphitheater along the mostly dry stream bed with beautiful views. In the beginning it is paved but then becomes an easy graded dirt path - 3 miles round trip. There are many more trails up into the mountains. Definitely recommend!

This was one of our favorite campgrounds on our trip across the US and back again. We stayed for 6 days in the North loop in site 126. The sites have room between them and are spaced so that everyone has some views. We had a pull through with cement but it was a steep short slope down to our site and we did hit both the truck and the camper - luckily with no damage. Go slow! The showers and toilets were clean and big. We found 2 $.25 tokens more than enough for a good shower. The fire rings were great - we enjoyed a campfire one night with the wood purchased from the entry site. There was quite a bit of dry tinder wood around to start it but bringing some paper with you would be helpful. It was only 20 minutes to downtown Chula Vista where we enjoyed the Galley Restaurant at the Marina. We walked around the park several times. The south loop has the older sites with shade trees which would be nice in the hot weather. It was early March and cooler when we were there. Great place!!!
