FHU but no pull through spots. We were lucky to be the only campers and parked sideway on the park road.
The city worker stopped to chat and said they are quite busy during the summer months so big rigs would have a tough time fitting in here.

About a year old so very clean, tidy, and spacious. It is a 3 acre gravel lot but surrounded by the owners land and BLM land. Our view was nice.
We used it as a stop to explore Mesa Verde.
Cute covered picnic area, good water, and a clean garbage can at each picnic table.
Nice owner.

A very short drive from I-35 and perfect for camping on the way to or from the state. Escaping to Arizona? Here’s your first nights stay.
During the summer the pond, the water slide, paddle boats, walking paths would make camping fun for families.
Currently, the owner is building a new bath house.

After reading reviews we went to the west side of the lot and found a spot where we could level the RV. It is walking distance to restaurants and casinos. We drove to a local diner for supper which was minutes away.
Overall, a spot to rest after the day’s drive from Reno.

Excellent pull through that was long enough for our RV and the car trailer.

As I frequently write in my reviews there appear to be two types of RVers. 1-those that need an RV Park and 2-those that don’t mind a level gravel area with 50amp power.
We are the second.
We appreciated the easy access, the sewer dump station, the 50amp power. The view of the basin, the mountains, and the incredible stars were a bonus.
Is it overpriced? Perhaps. But you are moments from a National Park and an interesting Pueblo archeological site, all with days of interesting areas to explore.
We also found the Bristlecone store to carry unique food and gift items, sell delicious coffee, and have a wealth of advice.
If you need an RV park pass up this town. If you are here for adventure this is a great place to camp.

The recent reviews led us to this overnight spot in the woods. There was one ‘long term’ camper repairing a car at their site. Also, the forest service pickup drives through a few times a day.
The paved parking lot made it very easy to level. Quiet night with faint hwy 97 road noise and some train whistles. The fact that all roads are paved to this site is a plus. Easy to maneuver for large rigs and tow vehicles.
We love these remote sites.

Fantastic pull-through spots with 50amp, cable, wifi, water, sewer.
Level gravel, fenced dog run. We did not have unhook the car trailer and it was easy to off load it at our site.
We feel this gem is overlooked for some of the other parks.
For us it was perfect.
I really appreciate the detailed reviews from other before us as we too may have not stopped.

We are long, 42’, and pull a car trailer. The regular spots were doable but the open parking lot was appealing to us!
We called the fair office and they agreed we could park there for the night.
The dogs had places to run and the gravel lot helped keep the rig clean inside.
The Pancake House is fabulous for breakfast. Though during the pandemic they were not practicing any precautions which was very disappointing. We wore our masks but zero other people did including servers and they did no spacing of tables. We made an exception to having all meals in the RV because they are famous for Dutch Babies! Bad choice on our part.
