We stayed a week here and enjoyed our time. The campground posted notices regarding ongoing filming at night and warning of gunfire sounds as part of the film, an email was sent out as well. We didn’t mind because thats why we were here, 5min from his film set. Our site was gravel and mostly level. The main campground road was in good shape. Some of the offshoot roads that lead to sites are bumpy due to tree roots and some have a steep angle down or up to enter/exit each site section. The general store stocks all of the essentials. The grounds are well maintained and the staff is very kind. When coming to the park, take exit 8 to avoid height clearance issues. The park does warn you of this in the reservation confirmation email. Yes, you do have to pay for parking but if you plan to stay here more than twice, the annual $40 parking pass is a great deal.

We called ahead to make reservations and were put on hold so they could make sure we fit. The site is exactly 45ft but wide enough for the bus, motorcycle, and truck to be next to each other. There was a huge fishing tournament while we were here so the main parking lot and all rv/cabins were full. The area was quiet and everyone was respectful. There are permanent residence and the area could use sprucing up but we felt safe and enjoyed our stay. I would not stay here during hurricane or the rainy season due to its proximity to the lake and being on the other side of the levy.

Normally we use Walmart when we are around here but diesel prices make running the generator too expensive, this park was the perfect choice. We were able to book a site for $36 after tax and our Good Sam discount. The park is small but exceptionally maintained. The man in the office was so kind and welcoming. He made sure we had and used a water pressure regulator as their pressure is 90psi. If there are more permanent residents here you cant tell. No site has excess things or random trash laying around. The park is hard pack gravel that is free of potholes and the sites are level concrete. We are roughly 70’ with our toad and did not need to unhook to make the turns or stay in our site. We will be keeping this park on our list for when we come back this way.

I spent 3mo here, Aug-Nov, and had a great experience. Clean park and nice owner. The bridge on the other side of the park entrance was being rebuilt so construction during business hours was sometimes a pain and noisy but that should be done soon. I liked being tucked in the woods and all the great walking in the area. Would stay here again.

We stumbled on this resort while staying at another one. What a pleasant surprise! All sites are concrete with easy to access utilities. We stayed in one of their pull-through spots. We have a tow and parking for the tow is the site next to you. The site isnt really for rigs it is specifically for you to park. Even the largest trucks will fit with tons of room to spare. We spent an afternoon in their salted and heated pool, lovely. While we didnt use the showers or washer/dryer, we did go check them out, very well maintained and clean. They have poo boxes for doggie doo disposal throughout the park and 2 doggie playgrounds. They have a community fire pit and a building for fish cleaning. Every person staying there kept their sites neat and organized. Highly recommend!

We spent 2 nights here and enjoyed the area. We didn’t find the highway to be an issue noise-wise. The price was more than what I had seen in other reviews but the space was all we could have wanted.

We booked here for an overnighter on our way to GA. Easy access off of I-20. The owner led us to our site and made sure we had all we needed. The majority of the sites are concrete, some are grass but that seems to be for more permanent residents. The sites are just long and wide enough for us. There is plenty of tow vehicle parking. Each site has grass and landscaping. There is a free run dog park and plenty of grass for leashed walking. It is Shreveport so there is a railroad at the back end of the park, cant really hear the trains go by. Our ATT cell signal was ok and our TMobile was very slow but we could access internet with it.

We had a site in the way back by the lake. Our site looked to be the largest and would be more like an island. We checked in and were escorted back to our site. Huge trees on all sides that made for excellent shade and kept the temps down inside our bus. We did have rain, no flood risk though. We appreciated that the trash was dealt with every day by employees. The park seemed well maintained and litter free.

We have stayed here 3 different times in past 2 years and always have a great experience. I had one issue with my online reservation this time but called and got it all sorted out. We appreciate the large sites, cleanliness of the campground, respectful people in both sections of the park, and ease of getting in and out. If you have a larger rig, follow the suggestion of taking the second right turn. Do not try and turn at the light, turn just past the restaurant. So much easier to make the turn and that gives you a good place to unhook your tow before entering the campground. There are a lot of long term rigs but each space is tidy and well kept. Jones offers a large laundry facility and bathhouse, both of which are cleaned and maintained.

We stayed here for 2 weeks at the beginning of October. We did one of the sites that does not back up to the river. Our site was long enough for our bus and we didnt need to roll out a whole bunch of hose to reach utilities. The park is mostly used over the weekends for fishing and family tent camping but even then is still quiet. They have a small store to get fishing gear, snacks, necessities, and they do food service on the weekends. They have good wifi but no cell service. The park isnt fancy but is exactly what a regional park that caters to outdoor activities should be. We discovered that taking the right turn onto Altamaha Rd is not the best choice for us. The railroad tracks are very tall there and high centering was a real possibility. On our way out we used the May Rd turn which had much better clearance for tracks. When coming in, take a right onto May Rd, then the first left onto Old Jesup Rd, follow that 4-5mi until you see an old convenience store and go right on to Altamaha Rd.
