Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on June 11, 2022A small, clean RV park with reasonably priced sites. Easily accessible for big rigs.
This is a small park with terraced sites. The sites are close to very close depending on the site. Ours happened to be veerry close. Sites are part concrete and part gravel, and ours was pretty level. We fit with our 45 foot MH and toad with a few inches to spare. The park is about 3 miles from I-20. It was quiet except for the subtle sounds of the train going by that is right behind the park. We never heard any whistles. Directv satellite worked fine in B row. I am not sure if there would be issues in A row as there are trees behind that row. Verizon was 4g 3 bars we could use our hotspot as the internet did not work at all. This is not a destination park as there are no amenities. It was ok for overnight but not sure if we’d stay here again. Not a huge deal but I realized later that they charged me a couple extra $$ (even including the extra for 50 amp) from the quoted price on Passport America. It is cash only if using Passport.

A small, simple campground that’s a great stopover.
We only stayed one night at Benchmark but it was a very nice stay. The owner of the park was very friendly and helpful. We used our Passport America discount and only paid $15.
The park is mostly gravel with a concrete pad at each site. Full hookups were great. Not a ton of shade but the trees that are there are large. A few folks were sitting under one together enjoying some drinks when we arrived.
There’s an off leash dog area which I greatly appreciate. It amazes me that some of the big RV resorts don’t have these. Very nice to let our dog run about a bit.
We used the showers and they were private, hot, and clean. Excellent.
It is a little tricky getting there. We had to do a u-turn because our GPS didn’t quite get the path right. Take a look at the map yourself beforehand to have an idea of the turn.
My only complaint about the campground was that I saw several fire ant mounds. There was one right next to our site pad that we had to be careful to avoid.
Otherwise, this was a great stop. We will definitely stay here again if we’re ever passing through the area.

We've stayed here before in our Class B. For the price it's a great bargain. It's more or less a parking lot, but there is a dog park and unisex private showers/toilets that are reasonably clean. Be prepared to have to call the owner when checking in. We've stopped here several times and always have to call. If you get his voice mail you'll have to wait to plug in and set up. But we think it's a good bargain for an overnight stop.

Price with Passport America. Level concrete pad for trailer with gravel on front & back for tow vehicle. Clean bathrooms & plenty of OTA channels on antenna TV. Advertised cable TV but did not use. Very limited office hours, but staff returns phone calls. Wi-Fi not capable of streaming and drops on and off.

Stopped for one night en-route to Florida. $16.50 for 30 amp site with Passport America, 50 amp sites are $20. Goodsam rate is $29. Small dog park. Level, easy pull throughs. Park is maintained nicely. Shell gas station across the street, easy in and out with the rig for diesel.

Arrived at Benchmark RVP 18 Feb 2018
Made this a stop on the Mississippi Blues Trail. Nice small park far enough off the highway so that noise is not a problem. Easy entry to pull-through sites with full hookups. Remarkable for its very level concrete pads (TV parking is on gravel) and the first class restrooms and showers.

We stayed in pull-through full hookup site B11. The site was long and it also had a concrete pad. Very impressive! Our electrical post had two 120 volt plugins but both of them were inexplicably placed directly above the 30 amp connection. This terrible design prevented us from using both at the same time. What in the world? Management needs to fix this issue. Thank heavens our adapter allowed us to use the 50 amp connection instead. Campground has 2 main wifi signals and one is dedicated to streaming. Both were blazingly fast! My AT&T phone had 2 bars and I didn't try the hotspot. Good laundry facilities and inexpensive at only $2.00 to wash and $1.00 to dry. Not much to do in the local area. Bathrooms were closed due to Covid-19.
