This is a great option for an overnight stay. The park is right off of I-40, just west of Oklahoma City. We were put in a level pull-through site with a concrete pad. The water spigots are a little tricky, but they have a diagram inside the office. We did not use any of the amenities, but we did use the fenced-in dog run. The price is steep and there is a lot of traffic noise, but the access to I-40 is worth it. This park is at the end of a row of hotels; be careful as you approach since hotel guests were parked on both sides of the access road.

Pros: The pull-through sites were level, the park was somewhat convenient to town, and the price was great.
Cons: Everything else.

I had called about two weeks prior to our Saturday arrival to make a reservation. The owner was very friendly and said he had a spot for us; their office is closed on the weekends, but he said he would call me on Friday with a site number so we could pull in and then just come to the office on Monday to pay. We never heard anything so I called and had to leave a message - still no reply. When we arrived, we thought we might have an assignment written somewhere, but we ended up just going to one of the pull-through sites for short-term campers. This self-registering system worked out ok, but why say you'll call us and then never follow up? Why not just tell us to pick a site upon arrival? There was essentially nowhere to walk our dogs - the only real options were by two busy roads or by the very loud, very smelly water reclamation lot right by the RV park. There are also A LOT of dogs at the mobile homes on either side of a narrow street opposite the pull-thru sites (seriously, one yard had four beagles) and they frequently got into bark-offs. The price was right at $14/night; though we had already pre-paid for a week, we decided to cut our losses and left after only 3 nights. I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

We had been staying on the Virginia coast, but decided to head further inland during Tropical Storm Isaias. We happened to find Walnut Hill through this site and as soon as we got set up, we were sad that we were only there for the one night. Our pull-through site overlooked rolling green hills dotted with black cows; the small pond and tree-lined roads added to the peaceful scenery. Our area of the park was rather full, but everyone was very quiet with the only noises the slightest hint of the Interstate in the distance and the occasional "thunk" on the top of our RV from falling walnuts. Both AT&T and Verizon signals were usable for work and streaming unboosted.

We did not need any of the provided amenities, but we enjoyed the wide open areas to walk our dogs (and there is also a fenced dog park that we didn't use). It is obvious that this family-run park is well loved and cared for and we look forward to one day returning for a longer visit.

Overall, this is a very nice park, but there are a few dings against it. Kenisee Lake is about 10-12 minutes from I-90; the approach from Austinburg was fine though the road leading up to the park entrance is a bit narrow and winding.

Upon check-in we were put in a 50-amp site and told we would be charged $3 per day. We hadn't seen this anywhere on the Thousand Trails booking site and didn't specifically request a 50-amp site, but went ahead and paid it. There are MANY seasonal/annual sites where we were (over 50%), but those we met were friendly, helpful, and did not make us feel like intruders like at some other parks.

As far as the sites go, most are wide and landscaped with gravel. The roads, however, were narrow and we had trouble backing into our site while trying to avoid a short light at the end of the site across from ours. The road is also very rough with potholes; they did try to grate the road while we were there, but the incessant rain was working against them.

There is plenty of green space between sections and by the lake to walk dogs. We also used the small yet effective laundry room at the front of the park; coin-operated machines were $1.75 to wash and $1.50 to dry.

We would stay again on our way through the area, but would not make this a destination park.

We stayed at Williamsburg RV & Camping Resort for 21 days as part of our Thousand Trails membership. The park is located just off I-64, but the trees provide some insulation from the noise. Because it is just outside the city, you are away from the most heavily trafficked areas, but still close to area attractions: about 15 minutes to Colonial Williamsburg, 20 minutes from Jamestown, and 30 minutes from Yorktown Battlefield. We had a nice shaded spot that saved us from the HOT summer days and our dogs enjoyed the large open grassy area at the front of the park. The only real downside is the roads which are rather hilly, narrow, and tree-lined and some of the spots are close together.

All of the staff we encountered were incredible - especially considering we ended up leaving one night to avoid Tropical Storm Isaias. Laundry is available just inside the door to the office (4 washers and 4 dryers at $2 per load payable with quarters or PayRange app) and staff does accept packages (though note that they are just placed inside the main office door and you do not have to sign anything). Both Verizon and AT&T signals were strong and reliable throughout our stay.

This is a beautiful campground right in the middle of rural Pennsylvania farmland. Though not a ding against it, do note that all of the smells associated with the many local dairy farms is noticeable. The park is about 30 minutes from Hershey attractions and 20 minutes to shopping in Lebanon.

We thoroughly enjoyed all of the green space as well as the views of the lakes and surrounding mountains from the H section. However, be aware that the climb up this section is steep - even more so than the rest of the park.Verizon and AT&T were suitable for work and streaming unboosted. There were several OTA channels. We did not use the bathhouses, but did use the laundry room and appreciated their credit card or pay-by-app system. They do take packages at the front gate.

Also be on the lookout for the Hershey Howl on Saturday nights. It's cute, but could be a little alarming if you aren't in the know. :)

We would stay again if in this area, but would suggest arriving on a weekday or Sunday since we barely found a suitable spot on a Saturday afternoon.

This is a fairly typical Thousand Trails campground -- older facilities with narrow roads and as many sites as possible along them. This was our first visit and though we felt cramped at first, we took a drive around the park and realized we were very lucky to have as much space as we did.

Both Verizon and AT&T signals were suitable for work and streaming; there were several OTA channels. Site was full hook-up so we did not use the bathhouses, but can confirm that the laundry room was closed when we were there last month.

The staff we encountered were very friendly and the access to the Turnpike was ideal. It was a nice enough park (especially since it was "free"), but we would probably prefer to stay at the Hershey campground when in the area.

We booked this KOA as an overnight stop along I-95. Our pull-through site was level enough that we did not have to unhitch our truck, but we would have had just enough space if we had done so. The sites were close together; if we had neighbors, their hook-ups would have been right at our picnic table. There were two fenced Kamp K9 areas which is great for a RV park of this size. We did not use any of the facilities but we were given codes for the bathrooms, showers, and laundry. Though the Interstate is clearly visible, the noise wasn't too bad. Cell signals for both AT&T and Verizon were strong as well as the park's wifi. There are a few nice patio sites, but we would only justify paying for those if we were planning to stay for a longer period of time. We would stay here again.

We loved the privacy and quiet of this park! The campground is a long drive off of the highway (watch for cows!), but the roads are in good shape. The ranger station was not open at the specified check-in time, but we had reserved and paid online so we proceeded to our spot (it was never open when entering at other times, but there are self-pay stations at the park entrance and at the campground). The campground host did come around and let us know about the freeze warning in effect. Our back-in site was level with a covered picnic table area. As other reviewers have noted, the bathrooms weren't great so we didn't use them - opting instead to use and dump our portable tank. Our dogs enjoyed walks along the trail right outside our campsite. There is quite a bit of wind at times as well as some not-so-great smells from the oilfield across the lake, but it isn't bad at all. We will definitely be back when we are in the Carlsbad area. Be prepared to travel at least 15 minutes to the closest gas station and about 20-25 minutes for groceries. Verizon and AT&T were not very strong, but we were able to use for remote work.

The campground's slogan is "City Close, Country Quiet." Even though there is a cement factory next to the campground, we rarely heard any noise and shopping/restaurants are nearby. The campground is situated on a hill, but the sites are terraced and grated with a soft gravel. Some sites are more level than others and most are pull-throughs. Our only complaints are about the pet areas and the proximity of the sites. The designated pet areas were few (there are no off-leash areas) and are overgrown or rocky. Make sure your pets are on parasite preventatives as we found several ticks on us after standing in that area long enough for our dogs to do their business. We did not use the showers, but they appeared clean. The laundry room has 10 washers & 10 dryers; $2.00 gets you approximately 30 minutes and 56 minutes, respectively. Wifi was decent and cell signals were fairly strong. The approach to this campground is hilly so we recommend approaching from the Shepherd of the Hills Expressway off of Hwy 65.
