Pros: The pull-through sites were level, the park was somewhat convenient to town, and the price was great.
Cons: Everything else.
I had called about two weeks prior to our Saturday arrival to make a reservation. The owner was very friendly and said he had a spot for us; their office is closed on the weekends, but he said he would call me on Friday with a site number so we could pull in and then just come to the office on Monday to pay. We never heard anything so I called and had to leave a message - still no reply. When we arrived, we thought we might have an assignment written somewhere, but we ended up just going to one of the pull-through sites for short-term campers. This self-registering system worked out ok, but why say you'll call us and then never follow up? Why not just tell us to pick a site upon arrival? There was essentially nowhere to walk our dogs - the only real options were by two busy roads or by the very loud, very smelly water reclamation lot right by the RV park. There are also A LOT of dogs at the mobile homes on either side of a narrow street opposite the pull-thru sites (seriously, one yard had four beagles) and they frequently got into bark-offs. The price was right at $14/night; though we had already pre-paid for a week, we decided to cut our losses and left after only 3 nights. I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

We were only planning on staying in the area for two nights. We only needed one day to see White Sands national Park. Most of the campgrounds in the area were booked full or were not taking nightly reservations due to Covid. We chose to stay here based on its proximity to White Sands national park and it’s availability for the nights we needed. When we called a few days ahead to make the reservation they said they had availability. They took our name and that was about it. When we arrived the office was still open they accepted our payment for two nights and told us to take any open site. Our initial feeling while driving into our site was a little uncomfortable. We did not feel entirely safe here. There is many loud dogs that are kept outside and that would bark at us. There was also a lot of comings and going‘s to the neighboring mobile homes. Also, we were surprised that there was no restrooms on site for us to use. I’m sure this is common with mobile home parks but being advertised as a rv park as well we would have thought there was restrooms. Our site was pretty level. We did need to add a few inches on one side. Otherwise it was clean, but no picnic table. The electricity water and sewer worked great. But, our biggest complaint is just our uncomfortable feeling about the security of the area.

This park is located outside of town, but within easy driving to Alamogordo, Tularosa, and White Sands. Nice pull through sites with full hook ups, picnic tables, and small shade trees at each site. Rates are reasonable, and management is very friendly. This is not a luxurious RV park - but it has the features we needed. Only negative is there are mobile homes next door, and there must be some folks who work late shifts, because vehicles are coming/going at all hours of the night.
We used this location as a base to explore the White Sands National Monument, Cloudcroft, and the Three Rivers Petroglyph Site. What a unique part of the American Southwest!
